If your brain hasn't exploded yet, try a different joystick. Joystick makes a big difference as to what max. score you get with this game. I prefer the small original atari joystick. Actually, I'm using the emulator as I find it easier than the joystick on the atari, there's a link to download it at the top of the page if you want to try.
