  1. There are two ideas I personally can think of as a source of cables. One would be using extension cables from Best. They sell 5200 extension cables for $12.95 each. Perhaps they would cut a deal for a bulk purchase? The other option would be to sell the adapter on a manufacture per order basis and to require the customer to provide a broken 5200 stick for cable salvage.

    Gremlins...

I actually found it at the Digital Press store here in NJ today. I am only a few miles from the store and usually hit it up with my brother on Sundays. I was surprised to see it complete and in perfect condition honestly, as I usually only see very common boxed titles there. Don't get me wrong, I love Joe's store...just usually never find that rare I have been looking for right there on the shelf. $22 later it was mine. Well worth it I think, as I really like this game! Gotta watch Gremlins again tomorrow to celebrate

    Gremlins...

I found a boxed/complete and pretty mint copy of this today (finally!). I must say, this game is much more rare than I expected it to be. Heck, I found "Meteorites" before I found this title. I am assuming the rarity is because of the late release...way late. This game was released in 1986...much after the crash! Now, I know that the game went to manufacturing the day before the Tramiel takeover, and they immediatelly halted manufacturing much to the dismay of Spielberg. It should have been released alongside the movie, but it was not. But it was released in 1986, two years after the crash. What is the reasoning behind that? Wasn't the 5200 "old" by then? Were 5200's even being sold in 1986? Just seems like an extremely odd decision on the part of the Atari of '86. Nonetheless, glad they did release it. It is really a great game and I am pretty glad to check that one off the list today!
  4. These (scroll down the pagea little) http://www.atariage.com/features/shows/atariage_pc5/pixelspast.html I have obtained the first one (Atari/Sega model) although I would like another. I would also like to find the other models (7800 and PC) if they were even released. If you have any, PM and maybe we can make a trade or I can just buy!
  5. After a struggle to try to find this device, one finally arrived to me yesterday. I finally had the chance to test it with a SMS controller. Man, what a trip! Both buttons work as they should and the control really rocks. I kicked some major tail in "Moon Patrol"...even better than I ever did with the original controller or even the Wico. Now, with so many controller issues with this system, it seems to me the redemption adapter was the "fix". Why the hell was it discontinued? This should be an AtariAge Store "always in stock" item honestly. People really need this to help overcome the joystick issues and be able to enjoy the 5200 for the incredible console it is. I would like to cast a vote that this be re-released! I would certainly buy one or two more if it ever does!

    FOUND!

Good idea! Post modified. I will also add a picture of the double ender later today just to give people an idea what you would be getting. It is in absolutely beautiful condition.
  7. Cart only, all labels intact and all games work perfectly: The Dreadnaught Factor Zenji Pitfall II $10 each. PM if you want em!

    FOUND!

Good to know. I am working on what others have said, so I automatically assumed both versions were the same as the hardware is almost identical. But, good stuff to know! Starting to get this bad feeling that I won't find it tho. Funny, as I run across other rarities in the wild with ease (found "Meteorites" in a pile of games I purchased for under $100 not too long ago)

    FOUND!

The 5200 version is an exact port of the 800 version (or is it that the 800 version is a port of the 5200 version?) Either way, they are the same and it is a really great game. It can still be played on real hardware (400/800/XL/XE) using the SIO2PC interface by Steven Tucker (Atarimax) so at least I can play the game on real hardware. I still do want the 5200 version mainly because I only need like three games to complete the collection, two of which are somewhat common and finally this BBSB. I am not looking to sell the Xonox double ender at all, but if someone offered BBSB for it I would do it. The double ender is the only R9 I own for the CV (I have some R8's tho) so I figured I'd sacrafice completing one collection to try for the other Either way, trade offer still stands if someone had one (or *gasp* two) and wanted to move over to the CV rarity.
  10. As said earlier, the 130XE has much better video quality. But, I would still rather have the 800XL as the 130XE is not nearly as sturdy. Besides, the 800XL looks fantastic imho.

    FOUND!

    FOUND! Woohoo!
  12. Friendly bump on these! Yurkie is a great guy and a very talented one as well! These controllers really kick ass, and you owe it to yourself to own a pair if you are into the Colecovision.
  13. I remember the card. Good find! Especially unscratched....I think darn near everybody scratched their card (I know I did).
  14. Another reason I like this system is for the cartridges. Yeah, I know not having end labels (on most) kind of sucks, but looking beyond that these carts are some of the best built carts for any system. They are solid, have a NICE large label with nice artwork (I love Sinistar's artwork!) and a nice protective door that seems to be sturdier than the 2600 and 7800 carts. Something about these carts really do it for me...I don't know.
  15. In all seriousness, I really think "Expansion Module" is the right name for this. "Super Game Module" has already been coined my Opcode with the upcoming Colecovision module, and the word "expansion" kind of means something Atari...at least to me. They were pretty notorious for unused "expansion" ports....only this time something is REALLY coming out So, my vote is definitely for "7800 Expansion Module"
  16. Awesome seller! Received some pretty rare Colecovision items from him today and everything was packaged very well and in pristine condition! Thanks again!
  17. How about the 10400 Game Module
  18. Good luck man! I didn't see the rare Xonox double enders on that list. Guess you obtained them? (I am not offering, just wondering)
