Looking for both of these consoles already modded for a/v (either composite or s-vid is fine). I do not need games, controllers, or even power supplies...which will drastically reduce shipping expenses Please PM if you have something!

Recently purchased a heavy sixer from him and it arrived today. He shipped priority mail and didn't have to. Very pleased with that! There was an issue with the VCS itself (missing pin on second controller port) but I am certain he was unaware of it. I informed him and he immediately partially refunded my payment. Really great trader and an honest person. I would have no issues at all conducting trades and/or purchasing from him in the future. Thanks again!

That Galaga does look nice...wish I could afford it But, great thing that this is helping to fund the SGM. I can't wait to see that in action! Good luck with the sales man!

Bought two 7800 games from him. They arrived fast and in good functional condition. Can't ask for more! Thanks again!

Great guy! Sold some PS2 items to him and all went super smoothly! Enjoy!

$21 shipped That is a pretty exact amount

If you have two separate copies and both freeze at the same point I am more inclined to believe that there is an issue with the console and not the cartridges. The game never had a freezing issue like the one you describe....I've played in hundreds of times. Even tho your NES is working with other games, maybe it has a problem with a specific mapper being used in Commando? I'd test it on another NES if possible to rule out a defect in your console.

Not to sway too far off of the subject, but the PET was the first computer I ever used. Kindergarten in 1980 It was considered at the time to be the utmost in computing POWER. And, I did start programming basic on it around that time as well with some homemade text adventure type games Back to your regular programming..

The reason I ask regarding the cart connector teeth "stretching" is I guess from my experience with the old NES toasters. Seems many of the consoles I have come across over the years that have had the "blinking" issue actually had a cartridge in there when I got them from various yard sales and flea markets...amongst other places. I just have to wonder if these carts were sitting in there for years in storage and "loosened" the pins. I no longer have a NES personally but rather a pretty nice collection of consoles that I enjoyed primarily as a kid before the NES era (Intellivision, Colecovision, and of course the VCS) and have them hooked up and on display in the living room. They all work great, but I wonder if I would extend (or lessen) their lives by having carts inserted constantly Things you think of whilst drinking Busch beer...hah!

New Version A/V Composite Mod for ColecoVision
eightbit replied to Yurkie's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Mine's in the hands of UPS now on the way to Yurkie to perform his magic After viewing all of his fantastic work in the forums and recommendations from many people, I know I found the right gentleman to hold on to my beloved Colecovision for awhile The only thing that sucks for me now is the wait....without a Colecovision. But, I know I'm doing good things for it I'll post back again in this thread with my success story as well in a few weeks -
From the numerous member collection photos I see here and elsewhere, it seems most people leave a cart in their system(s) on display. Is this just for visual attraction? To preserve the cart slot from dust? Does it extend the life of the system? I always thought the constant pressure of a cart being in there all of the time would lessen the grip from the cart slot teeth. Or maybe I am wrong about this? So, tell me, do you have a cart in or out while not in use and why?

This is some of the best advice you can get. Your chances of receiving *working* hardware are greatly increased by purchasing from members here. When you get from ebay, you'll notice a lot of people selling "untested" consoles...which never made much sense to me when I see that they usually have everything they need in the auction to test the console! Other than of course they know it is broken or are just plain lazy.

Thank God for the huge price reduction!

Really great guy. He replied to a want thread I had posted and sent the game in as described (mint) condition very quickly. Smooth transaction, super happy, and would absolutely deal with him again! Thanks again!

This is true. He can send you a box of rocks if he wants, and as long as paypal sees a completed delivery they will close the case. Be careful with that. Did he send it back? Just the idea of some jerk even touching the stuff and then returning it would upset me...and I am pretty sure he will not package it with care when he does send it back.

If you get a C128, you'll be typing "go64" thousands of times Honestly, there is not much of a reason to own one if you have a C64. Like was said earlier, there was very few programs actually designed for 128 mode. I always felt they could have done a whole lot more with it, but unfortunately they did not. At the height of my vintage computer collecting, I had one but it was basically for nostalgia. My friend had one and I always wanted that model as it just looked so cool. I ended up upgrading from the brown box to a cream colored newer 64C back then (my old brown system was getting old..too much use) only because Toys R US stopped carrying the C128. So, for nostalgia and aesthetic appeal, maybe yes. For function, just stick with the C64 (or 64C)

Since I sold off my PS2 and ebayed all of my games (going back to pre-1984 system collecting), I have 20 games left that didn't sell. I absolutely refuse to use ebay again for selling, so they are available here. Not sure what to ask. Make an offer on one, a few, or all of them! They were all purchased new by me, and if you ask other people who know me, you will know that they are all in brand new condition. Not a single disc here has a single scratch. They are all complete obviously. Basically new games with the outer wrapping removed I am also up for trades. I recently acquired an Atari 7800 and have literally three games (Ms. Pac Man, Pole Position, and Xevious) for it. I also have an Intellivision with only about a half dozen games. And I have a Colecovision with 50 or so games...but there are of course many I do not have. I am also interested in homebrew carts for these systems (and 2600 too). The vast majority of my collection is loose, so loose carts are very welcome. I can also do trade/cash combos...whatever! I'm pretty easy going, so if you see anything you like (or all of it) PM me and maybe we can work something out!

Mario Bros (ColecoVision) READY TO SHIP! ***
eightbit replied to retroillucid's topic in Homebrew Discussion
I happened upon this thread as well just roaming around the forums. Awesome job! Needless to say, my order is in as well I am always happy to see new homebrew projects for classic systems (especially Colecovision) and the quality coming out of many of these homebrew projects is simply amazing. I will be keeping an eye out here and will definitely be jumping all over your new stuff. Again, super job! -
4th of July bump for luck

BUMP! Last 12 hours. Many games have no bids and the rest are very low. Here's a good chance to really bulk up your PS2 collection. I forgot to add in these auctions that I do combine shipping at the rate of $1 per additional game purchased.
