  1. Here is something GCE made that's more rare than the Vectrex: ; This Space-N-Counter handheld was handed out (to me ) at a Pratt & Whitney Christmas party back in 1985! Aside from the calculator/calender, it has three games built in including Scramble(clone) and two other space shooters. It is well loved, and came in a generic box with instruction card and a leatherette slip cover. These seem to be super rare and only ever pop up for sale outside the US. One showed up on Ebay from New Zealand a couple of months ago in a nice box, which I hadn't seen before. There is also Chase-N-Counter with 3 adventure themed games, that I'd like to add to my collection ..some day.
  2. Hey trbb, You're speed reading again! When Mario crashed(the 90k pic), I had another go in 800win(pic below in same post). We actually share the exact same score...for the time being
  3. Having a bit of a tussle with my XEGS, which likes to crash Mario after about an hour of gameplay During a followup play after getting 90k: Do XEGS's have a reputation for failure due to overheating or some other reason? This game does lend well to keyboard controls in emulation, which is great to fall back on in the event your good 'ol Atari lets you down : 123,140 Yikes, icicles!
  4. No chance of topping my PB (with repeated tries). Way to go gavv, with a half million+ points ; you're indeed the Burgermeister

  9. Here are three favourites that haven't been played a whole lot in the HSC : Fathom Mr.Do!'s Castle Tutankham
  10. This is my favorite version of Burgertime!, by far. The graphics, the controls, the music, the subtlety & precision of gameplay (numerous close shaves!) are just top notch and really shine on the Intellivision. Diner is even more impressive . Working out the kinks in my strategy. Now time to start making some burgers! : 71,200
  11. I tried the Demo on real hardware, and all I can say is it's utterly amazing! The scrolling is great and the recorded sounds are a nice touch. I can't hardly wait until the finished product arrives (payment sent around slot #35)
  12. Getting warmed up; I need to devise a workable pattern for level 4 because I'm getting killed! Peter Pepper is literally out on a limb with nowhere to go but get trapped on that screen... 38,800

    5200 Tempest

Tempest for the Super System at long last! I thought it would be neat when I was 9, but at 38...it's really going to be something
  18. Very strange...my River Raid cart also went to a blank red screen today sadly . It's a first for me, as 5200 carts never seem to fail, unlike colecovision and 2600, which have been d.o.a. more than a few times.
  19. ....down by the riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiver!!! 40,870
  20. There's nothing like a hot pie in the face or a fireball in the butt, whilst meeting your demise... Whacky rules Donkey Kong (all bonus goodies claimed): 43,000 ...actually this might level the playing field somewhat.. er a wee bit sorta kinda for those that don't have a 'kong' or a 'bob' in their handle
  21. What's more fun than smacking mutant bipedal unicorns on the head with a mallet (squoosh!)? Vote for Mr. Do! for some platform fun and a change of pace in the 5200 HSC.
  22. Keep thinking out there y-bot, since I also would like to snag one of these Grover carts!
