  1. Here is my all time best at River Raid 55,090
  2. I may have bought a stay of execution...what a difference a controller makes! I should have followed zylons lead earlier and used a good ol' stock controller, instead of my trusty Comp-pro..there is no comparison 50,760
  3. 36,430 I will probably have to do better than this, as it is most unlikely that the remaining players will do worse than this...
  4. What else should it be...other than a knock-down, drag-out, mutant busting rematch to the finish in Bounty Bob Strikes Back, alongside Miner 2049er, which hasn't been played
  5. I tend to hit the top of the approaching slope at about 70, the speed up / slow down as appropriate to the bird. So long as it (the 'freakin' bird) is above you when you get to the start of the pit you'll catch it - in short it's exactly the same as catching it on any of the previous levels except the speed requirements are different. Thanks J-C! I knew it was speed related, I just haven't determined the 'ideal' approach speed to get in synch with the bird, if it's even possible (as opposed to catching it at the precise moment while moving backward = very tricky!).
  6. Some 'sick note' scores for DK and Jewel Bits (I did finally quit coughing my guts out after over two weeks..) New personal best at DK: 69,200 Jewel Bits (nice addictive little game!) : 12,656...haven't quite sussed out the 'Fish' level yet
  7. Something screwy with the posting ala "atariage server error 404"..yahtayahtayahta...
  8. No improvement in BC's..'cause I couldn't catch that Freakin' BIRD on level 4 !! Maybe one of you 100K-geniuses can tell us how it's done, since it's as easy as falling off a unicycle I did attempt Pinhead and feel like a patriot for getting past..actually 8K 8,010
  9. No improvement in BC's..'cause I couldn't catch that Freakin' BIRD on level 4 !! Maybe one of you 100K-geniuses can tell us how it's done, since it's as easy as falling off a unicycle I did attempt Pinhead and feel like a patriot for getting past 3K 3,750
  10. OK we'll call 100K a win for BC's folks! How about we call it a steaming pile of Dinosaur crap! That figure obviously can't be in reference to the NON-emulated, standard issue cartridge version of BC's Quest presented here, which is rather unforgiving in its paucity of points, its rigorous timing, escalating speed, and exactitude of controls. But..I love this game! It is totally unique and is one of best drawn 8-bit games. Thank goodness btw for the well deserved extra life at the end of each level. It makes the game that much more fun for the 99.999% of those who haven't 'cracked' BC..(why even bother otherwise? ) Rockin' and Rollin', rollin' a rock to save my rather buxom cave-girl friend (but don't ogle her too long or end up flat on your face!): 10,890, level 4
  11. Merry Christmas to sdamon(the Champ!),..you should enjoy this round As for myself, I may have cast 'snake eyes', since this is one of my weakest! I guess it's time for me to learn how to get past bridge 21, or else I'm fish food...
  12. I took the 10pm cutoff at face value, hoping to do better than the 155k I'd been holding onto, but alas I never got into groove and didn't even reach my personal best 1 stick: 32,600 2 stick: 155,950
  13. I'm starting to finally get my Defender arcade chops back. Once you figure out how to 'not die', it gets better 1st stab- 136,350
  14. This sounds like fun. Count me in I would add Super Cobra, which doesn't get much play.
  15. Wish I had more time for this one. Amazing scores, sdamon and Cafeman This is near my best: 39,080; bridge 20
  16. @trbb: Not to quibble over a tuppence, but a8isa1 posted a slightly different score for DD-narrow in #103. I posted the 155K in #105. Alot of players will move up in ranks and gain a point(including you!) after the change is made
  17. I had a smashing go at Dig Dug "narrow", very near my all-time best : 155,720
  18. Things are starting to get fun, since I've figured out a few tricks. Level 6 is a real bear to get past..of course I'm just flying by the seat of my pants on lv 5, as I have no real pattern yet other than getting lucky(and having enough drill bits!) 54,530
  19. I'm always in a hurry to complete a level quickly, for fear of running out of time. After reading some of the tips, it looks like I need to take a step back and get a real point strategy One of the problems is control in emulation. Getting the drill to go where you want to(with keys) can be maddening! 16,280
  20. Making some in-roads(and/or..tunnels!) into Dig Dug 'wide': 72,470 Screen 1: 5,680
  21. My neighbor's WiFi signal is messing up my picture Is there a way to filter that out? This is my best so far: 234,117 Atari 2600 32,111
  22. **Great to see you back, Deteacher! You're Team was able to snag the Gold, in a nail-biter to the finish line!!** Well I dig-dig-dig-dig-dig-dig-dig-dig-dig..the whole day long/... "narrow": 118,080 screen 1: 6,130 screen 2: 13,780
  23. Stepping up extermination efforts! I finally went down, but not until reaching an all time best. Surviving the purple hornet wave attack seems to help, as it clears the playfield in a big way 203,286
