  1. Latest Score tally: AoMC-- 68,592 B.Buggies-- course 1:21st; course 2:29th Lost Tomb-- 14,200 Ph. Curse-- 2,670 Tut-- 49,280 (Pics in post #13 updated)
  2. Interesting collection of games! Tutankhamun(one of my all-time favs) has great sound, but needs some serious help in the color dept. I bet someone could clean this one up real nice (and then give it the 2-stick SuperSystem treatment a la Space Dungeon/Robotron so it can be played the proper way... ) Score tally: AoMC-- 68,592 B.Buggies-- course 1:13th; course 2:10th Lost Tomb-- 35,040 Ph. Curse-- 2,670 Tut-- 49,280
  3. Pengo, slayer of the unborn(er..unhatched), didn't go down without a fight: 458,910 The game is afoot...
  4. I am not familiar with "Pricess Bride" or "Princess Bride" if that's what you meant. You've never seen The Princess Bride?..."Inconceivable!" It's one of the most brilliant and quotable movies on the Planet... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D58LpHBnvsI Yeah, IIRC a couple guys scored over 600K on the 8-bit HSC. I hit a plateau at 150K using arrow keys since my USB 'Classic' arrived late. As for the 5200 HSC, "Cry Havoc! And let slip the dogs of war"
  5. Atariksi is on the march...I better call for reinforcements : 248,530
  6. Hi NoahsMyBro (I've been lost in Coleco Land for a short bit..boy my wrist hurts ), You asked a great question. I spent a while trying to figure out the best setting for colorful CRT video screen shots. Using a Sony 3.2 mp DSC-P52, this is what I came up with: First thing, the light from your vintage TV is usu enough to get a nice pic-- If its day, close all blinds and turn off lights; At night turn off all lights(if the game is really bright, turn on a small light to avoid overexp.) Camera Settings: Landscape mode(at night); Twilight mode(daytime)>>>Flash= OFF Exposure value= -1.3EV Focus= 0.5m White Balance (WB)= Auto Picture Quality= Standard P. Effect= Off When taking the pic, I hold the camera as steady as possible(using an elbow for support) about 2 feet from the sceen for a complete screen shot. I play all my games on a 19" 1991 RCA XL-100. The 5200 I have pictured above is a specially modded 2-port with composite A/V. I funnel the signal through the Camera Line-in channel port on an '82 RCA VFT-650 vcr, which then travels via Coax to the 4-Port 5200 Switch Box on the back of the TV. The screen is so black I can't even tell if the TV is on or not until I hit the power switch on the Atari! We're talking RF noise = ZERO I hope some of this helps And now...back to crushing Sno-Bees
  7. This game shows to be a true test of skill and endurance as points are both hard-earned and sparse. With the Talent on board for this season, my gaming skills will no doubt be pushed to the limit : 32,000
  8. I'm with Zylon and NoahsMyBro for this one and choose to download the traditional "ROM" : This game seems to love the analogue stick and so do I : 130,810
  9. Wow Divya, these 5200 Pengo Roms really are screwed up in 800Win; Check out the screen shot: Not only does Pengo jump around the screen, but he teleports through Ice blocks!? In the picture you can see the penguin trapped inside a diamond block(after skipping through 2 ice blocks) :!: The effect makes his exposed half indestructible to the sno-bees which try in vain to sting him. Pengo's arms and legs move in place when arrow keys are pressed but he can't escape as sno-bees continue to wander around destroying ice blocks. No additional eggs hatch and the round never ends/times out...very strange indeed. That's odd. Try this one: Pengo (1983) (Atari) (U).bin That also didn't work-- the game starts but the Pengo skips around the screen. Does this require some special joystick?
  10. Off to a fair start with our Penguin Hero: 150,510 ..Now we just need a decent A800 port of Sega's Penguin Land ...
  11. This game is as fun as it is challenging . It takes a lot of practice to learn some of the precise and tricky jumps in the higher levels. I'm currently stuck on screen 7(zone 1) where I lost all of my Bounty Bobs. It's a pretty crazy mix of chutes, tranporters, and hard-to-access platforms 29,485
  12. This is my best attempt with NO joystick and 4 arrow keys; you can only fire in the direction your moving in this case which makes for a completely different(& way harder) game. I can't wait until that A800 usb stick arrives from Legacy Engineering : 36,125
  13. I had a pretty good run this time (boy are my wrists tired..): 279,425
  14. This game uses 2 controllers. If your playing on the atari800winplus emulator, select input then joysticks. For joystick 1 i use my gamepad controller, and then for joystick 2 i use the arrow keys. move with joystick 1, fire with joystick 2 Roadrunner - How do you hold the controller steady to move quickly, while using your other hand to work the arrow keys? I don't get it, but with a score like yours you must be doing something right. I was also wondering what kind of wizardry Roadrunner was doing with a joystick and arrows keys to get 270K ? I'm doing pretty well with a 2-stick rig, but that takes talent: 164,975
  15. Got my 'quick and dirty' controller holder assembled, complete with cardboard, twist-ties, and duct tape; as far as the handling?...pure arcade goodness! : 122,225
  16. Payment just sent! I wouldn't want to let this one slip by...
  17. Haven't rigged two controllers together yet, but here's my best so far with one stick: 17,625 Bohoki, where are you? Here's a great chance to try out that awesome controller rig you designed just for Robotron...
  18. Clear 3 rounds in 47 seconds? WoW , there must be an early diamond in there somewhere I think I'll be happy to vie for 6th fastest time(rnds 1-3): 1:04
