  1. I almost made it, but died one warp away from Earth Things are pretty chaotic at that point in the game: 197,550
  2. Hey jetset, thanks for digging up this thread! I read it a while back thinking I could find it again do download the Zip, but it was buried waaay deep.
  3. What better reason to fire up the Colecovision than Mr. Do!? Let the games begin: 156,400
  4. I put a lot of quarters into this one back in the day when there used to be Arcades. Those were fun times. I'll be honored to start this one off with a modest score: 127,400
  5. 251,954 Well Cafeman, I was able secure another 1% of territory for a total of 97% capture! Taking a picture on orig. hardware was pretty tricky due to the 2 second time window, but check it out in the second pic. It may be possible to get 98%, but that may be the abs. max. ;
  6. I got a pretty big payoff (5x) for some land this time: 195,639
  7. A really neat strategy game and one of my favorite 5200 carts: 93,810
  8. 103,000 I was in the Zone, but not for half a Million--(DensB your the Battlezone god!!). I'll be happy with 1/5th of that
  9. Well Mr. Andrews, since you asked, here it is. I'm lucky to be one of the few that actually got one of these from Mike at 8Bitdomain. As far as duplicating the device on a small scale it would be quite an undertaking. The adapter uses a custom circuit board designed and copyrighted by Retrokidz. It also must work in conjunction with the 5200 A/V mod which was available from 8bit. If one could aquire a steady supply of these proprietary parts, along with a bunch of 7800 motherboards and 2600 adapters to part out, then they would have to be top hand with a soldering iron. Barring all of that, this device may be destined to be prototype rare. Here are the pics of the insides etc.: , , , , ,
  10. 70,000 I can't believe how dead on this game is to the arcade. Once I started paying attention to the targeting computer things got a lot easier. I've been using a variation of the "stagger pattern" Darth mentioned earlier with an aggressive twist. I move my tank as far back as I can so no enemies can sneak up from the rear and get in a cheap shot. Then when an enemy tank is identified to the left or the right I move in fast and close and get the sucker broadside before he knows what hit him. Kind of a hunt and snipe strategy. This worked for a while until those quick moving assault vehicles showed up and started ramming me from out of knowhere. Those tricky buggers will require further evasive manouvers.
  11. Did a little better with the stock controller; the Genesis pad/Masterplay setup didn't work well for me either---harder to make quick turns. 56,990
  12. This is my best one for this go-round: 62,260
  13. Going deeper underground: 60,690--level 11 *I found the raft in level 10!---Thanks Cafeman* The trick is having enough men left to explore the next higher, more complex (and deadlier) level when you finally get there. This game is pretty addictive
  14. 56,575 I saved a few more miners before getting lost in round 10. Does any one know what level Rafts appear? Supposedly you can float down an underground waterway on one when available. This game looks pretty big. I wonder what level it is when one reaches a 1,000,000 points and saves the day? Time to rescue some more miners....
  15. Throwing my hat into the ring: 28,670 --level 7 I too have noticed small precise movements are a bit tricky esp. when dynamiting the 'red hot' walls.
  16. The RealSports Basketball ver. 1 prototype also supports 3 and 4 players in doubles mode. Its a shame neither this version nor the final one made it out the door. Ron
  17. 215,550 I was starting to work a stratagy to get through the first three levels, but it all came to an end when I got to level 4. There is alot more skulls, spiders, laser gates and darkness to navigate through. I had 11 men at the start, but Montezuma eventually got his Revenge:
