  1. After traversing a couple/three odd miles of T.V. screen, Mario is whooped! At this stage (lv 20+) the bonus rounds seem impossible to clear. The counter zeros out right before I can grab the last coin... 231,810
  2. Did a little better. This old game is about as fun as it is hard. I never used to make it to 5k to get the extra man. Now I'll be pushing my way to 10k in the future 7,620
  3. This is my best score ever to date. There are many strategic elements to be exploited in this game which can prolong one's survival. These however come to naught in the event of a down-right ambush!! The random nature of the mazes definitely keeps you on your toes, and the tension level high 7,140
  4. Wow...12k! Excellent opening score, darthkur I'll almost meet you half way (and I had a pretty darn good game) : 5,520
  5. Nice to have a 'complete' version of Donkey Kong on a home system 39,900
  6. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite Colecovision games. Lots of hidden secrets left to discover, randomized quests, and a Secret Quest which needs to be unlocked! Module Man has similarities to Montezuma's Revenge, but instead of searching for treasure in an ancient temple, you play the part of a noble Knight in medeival times 66,850
  7. This is the game I wish I got for Christmas in 1982... 1220
  8. 'Mecha 8' looks like an awesome game by any 8-bit standard (rivaling the NES!) .., but I haven't been able to land a copy as of yet. Fortunately I snagged a copy of Oscar's other amazing title, whose contest I missed while I was out of town the whole week .. Gladly, Princess Quest was waiting for me at the P.O. when I got back from my trip (a couple days late) . It's fun to imagine what might have happened if a game of this calibre was released by Coleco in 1983! So far I'm having a blast and have a pretty decent score to post (for fun): 116,470
  9. Hopping my butt off, but dying for lack of time... 16,697
  10. Managed to round up some scores-- Deluxe Invaders: 1,188 Space Invaders: 2,741 Galaxian: 10,730 Galactic Chase: 10,610 Postscript: Space Invaders has never been my cup of tea; I find it inflexible, unforgiving, and a bit short in the area of replay value. However, to all of you who got anywhere near or well past 10K...I'M IN AWE
  11. I've heard rumors that the C64 port is voice enhanced. Do you know of an emulator that can successfully handle the ROM?
  12. Nice M.U.L.E. cart, Official Ninja That's one 'unicorn' I'm still trying to chase down...
  13. 52,300 When I was about 8 years old or so (back around 1982), I remember playing this game at a pizza restaurant in Lake Worth, Florida. It was the sit down "cocktail" style arcade version. I recall there being 'twinkling' stars in the background, medieval script fonts, unique music, and the game talked! Maybe it was the wizard's voice giving taunts to challenge the player? Anyhow, there was a completely different feel to the game. It would be neat to have an arcade faithful version of Wizard Of Wor for 5200/8-bit some day. But, until then this is the best console version of the game that I'm aware of. Maybe I'll just track down that old cocktail table W.O.W...it should make a nice center piece in the living room....
  14. I'm finally starting to figure this puzzler out...sort of : 6,275 As for "5200" Hot Blocks...eeesh!: 550 (default level 5)
  15. The old atr I was using was literally saying "TILT", freezing gameplay and allowing the ball to drop 2/3 of the time. It didn't seem to make any sense. I just tried the XEX from _fandal_ and after one go had quite different results : 77,760 7 out of 10 stars
  16. Great game. Quite a few strategies to experiment with. 37,070 Hard: 4,570
