  1. Anyone still mess with the old Scott Adams text adventures? Thinking of giving them a go, it's been years and I always quit before I solved them.

  4. Rearranging my neglected war room downstairs. Got my 2600, Bally, Colecovision & Odyssey2 set up last night. Trying to make room for every system!

A man after my own heart. The 2600, Bally, and Odyssey are some of my top systems!

  5. Landed a working TRS-80 Model I today! I'm so psyched to add it to my war room!

Nice! I was beyond excited when I got my Model I...I'd wanted one forever but never thought I'd get one.

@Trekker: That's the Color Computer. Model I/III series systems don't use carts.

My Junior High computer lab in 1983-84 was filled with TRS-80's with the dual disk drives. Also had a Kaypro II. Awesome machines.

  6. Bump - still got a couple copies of each title left if anyone's interested!
  7. UPDATE: the magazines are all spoken for and on their way to good homes.
  8. Got some more stuff to clear out in my quest to see shelf space again. A few of our beloved BIG TI binder software packages. $10 each plus shipping. First come first serve. These are bulky and heavy! They could probably go via Media Mail without incident in the USA. Buy all 5 for $40. TI LOGO II: includes cartridge, spiral bound manual, LOGO Sampler diskette, and LOGO Sampler cassette. MICROSOFT MULTIPLAN: includes manual and some printed out newsletter articles with Multiplan tips. Does not include cart or disk. TI-WRITER (plain cover binder): includes, manual, cartridge, diskette, reference card, plastic reference strip. all looks unused. TI-WRITER (photo cover binder): rougher shape, includes manual ONLY, no disk or cartridge EDITOR/ASSEMBLER: includes manual only, no cartridge or diskettes Thanks, Keith
  9. I'm doing some cleaning and downsizing so I can actually enjoy my TI 99/4A area without mountains of stuff looming over me. I have doubles of almost the whole run of Micropendium mags, and many of the issues of 99'er and Home Computer Magazine. I don't really wanna Ebay 'em and I dunno if there's enough general interest in the Marketplace forum here, so I figured I'd see if anyone in the group was interested. Not looking for much for them, especially if you take lots of them off my hands - just wanna see them get to a good home where they'll be used and appreciated. Hit me up with a PM if you're looking for specific issues or want a list. Keith
  10. I just picked up my first-ever Game Gear lot. Got one that works great and one that's... not so much. Is there any use for a Game Gear that powers on but has a really dim screen and no sound? If someone wants to throw me $10 for it, or trade me this one for a few common carts, let me know. I only have 8-9 games for my working GG and I'd like to get more. Thanks! PM me if you're interested.
  11. Well, I GUESS that's a legit excuse. Congratulations!
  12. Looks like you may not have a lot of competition this month...
  13. Dunno about the source code... its location may be in the TI Programming forum, maybe search for the game there? I was starting to wonder if anyone was gonna post up any scores. I've been playing on JS99er via the web and not doing great, but I'm gonna take a serious crack at it tonight on real iron and see what I can do. Blurry pix to follow.
  14. Galactic Invasion - 2011 Star Battle - 2005 Grand Prix/Demolition Derby - 2014 Bally Pin - 3005 Brickyard/Clowns - 2004 All are "Bally Videocade" branded except Galactic Invasion, which is "Astrocade Videocade." All new and sealed. Shrink is a little, well, shrunk on a couple of the boxes, but no major wear or damage. $25 plus shipping for all five. Thanks! Keith
  15. Okay, here's the prize package for this month -- a grab bag of old school goodies from my own collection. You get "Entertainment Games in TI BASIC and Extended BASIC," one of the old SAMS book/cassette package combos, "Terrific Games For the TI 99/4A," a cool book of games which make great programming exercises, and an original Not Polyoptics cassette game, "Sengoku Jidai." (I MAY or may not have the original manual for this in my files somewhere. If I do, I'll throw it in.) I know not all of you are as enamored of the original old-school artifacts from our beloved TI's origins, but these are some cool things that I've found useful over the years and I hope they find a good home. Good luck and high scores! Keith
  16. Beautiful game! You have such an eye for design and detail, and the difficulty curve is spot on.
  17. I have one and gave it some thought, I really did! But I'm not quite ready to admit just yet that I don't have room for all these systems. Now.... where's my Mattel Aquarius??
  18. I picked it because I've hardly played it. When I got Rasmus's 3-in-1 cart I was so into Titanium, it was the only one I gave serious gameplay time to. Going back to revisit the cart the other day, I realized Scramble was pretty kickass, but I'm super new at it. I plan to rectify that this month. Still deciding on the prize -- I think I have something unique for this month.
  19. Okay, I have decided to go with a "new classic" for this month's challenge. My vote is for TI Scramble. I will announce what the prize is going to be shortly. Good luck!
  20. Just wanted to add my voice to the chorus of amazement at how great these games are. I think sometimes I get spoiled when I see Youtube videos, or even when I play new games on emulation, but to see a cartridge go into my stock 1983-era TI system and that kind of amazing results come out... it gives me chills. I look forward to spending a lot of time with these games!
  21. Thanks! It's an honor, I'd like to thank the Academy, etc. Let me give this a little thought. Am I to pick the next game and donate the next prize? I have a couple ideas for both, but need maybe 24 hours to think it over.
  22. Trying to build slightly not-dumb AI that I can add to and make smarter later. Oh hey, hi 4am...
