  3. Any video of the gameplay?

    Hi, Sappico

Yes, there are some videos published on More Work YouTube channel showing the gameplay.

They were recorded directly from a tube TV:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOke3NpepTI

Can Rally Racer be played with paddles?

Rally Racer was designed to be played with joysticks only, fandenivoldsk!

Check the videos above for actual gameplay!

  4. I love A New Marauder. Is Rally Racer a paddle game?

When did the numbered copies go on sale? I haven't seen any news on the more work site :)

    Hizzy

Rally Racer was designed for joystick, only.

We released RR on Feb. Unnumbered series is available.

The website is being updated. Maybe next week it will be finished!

  5. No relation to Hard Work Games? :P

LOL James "hard work" and the savage team rendered us one of the most entertaining threads in this forum, ever. Definitively, we have no affiliation with them.

More Work Games has a proven record of sales all around the world, with fully satisfied customers, with real products.

  6. Looks great!

You put a lot of work in it.

    8)

The font for the score reminded me of the one used in the ZX Spectrum version of Outrun.

This looks really good and the presentation is superb. Great work!

Yes, it took a lot of work to design it :-)

    Thanks, Rom Hunter & Muddyfunster!

  8. Hello everyone!

If you are already familiar with the quality of A New Marauder (thread: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/254053-a-new-marauder), our previous release, you gonna enjoy Rally Racer as well.

We released an initial batch of 50 numbered copies that are already soldout but you can get the regular series without numbering from now on.

Some gameplay can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2qWQUu6uNg

Check the pictures attached for info on the items of the set (sorry, we couldn't update our website yet due to the rush - www.morework.com.br) .

If you are interested, please write to [email protected] and I will be pleased in answering you.

  9. Im completely late to this game, but is this game at all available still? I just started collecting for the 2600/7800 mid 2018, and stumbled on this games awesome artwork. Hate when this happens.

A new batch of ANM is being prepared as well as a new game release (Rally Racer) in a couple of weeks.

  10.

... I see this is quite an old thread, but I thought I would chip in here with what I used to develop 2600 games in the early '80s.

At work ( Enter-Tech LTD), we had two GenRad/FutureData dev systems. These were full ICE (In-circuit-simulator) devices. Here's a link to some info on these: https://pcmuseum.ca/details.asp?id=574

We took the 2600, cut it open, removed the CPU and placed a socket that converted the 28pin package to a standard 6502 40 pin header. The GenRad's ICE prob then was plugged directly into the 40 pin 6502 socket.

For it's time it was a very advanced tool. Having an ICE that supported multiple hardware breakpoints, hardware timers so we could time how long it took to run blocks of code, and rapid build/test cycles was very useful.

The units had 2 8" floppy drives, and internally it had a RAM file system. In the morning we would load up the RFS with the code, compiler, editor etc. Then we could get very fast (for the time) compilation cycles.

We used these dev systems for all of our 6502 work on the Atari, the Moppet video arcade games, and the gambling Card game products.

    Thanks for sharing this, pwalters!

Definitively, having an ICE must have been an advantage at that time!

  11. No, the project is mothballed. I have one. It's quite nice. But that one and my backup are the only ones in existence. There just was not enough interest to support the development and I couldn't find help with testing when i needed it. I've considered taking the project out of mothballs a few times over the years, because it offers higher quality and some features that I haven't seen on the other converter projects that are available. But I don't really see the point as everyone seems to be happy with the individual format converters that are available elsewhere. I could be wrong...

Chris, I volunteer to help with testing if you ever decide to get back working on it.

By the way, this is an outstanding 2600 project!

  12. I like the look of their next game, Midnight Commando. Just one thing missing in the video of it though. Combat. Avoiding obstacles and collecting stuff is all well and good but for the game to really shine, I hope theres combat. After all, its called Midnight Commando. Wheres the sense in a title like that if theres no shooting or blowing stuff up?

Good insight! We should have thought of this before :-)

  13. When are the T-shirts coming back for sale? I bought this game(very good) and I also drive a 70' Marauder X-100 and would love to have a t-shirt!

    Hey, Machine!

The original A New Maurauder t-shirt is sold out but we have in stock a More Work Games new t-shirt. See attached.

    Sizes in cm.

PM me if you (and others) are interested!

  14. Hi, PFL!

Unfortunately there is no PAL60 version of A New Marauder.

I am sure the t-shirt will fit you nice :-)

Hey. Is there a PAL60 version of this game? It looks really interesting (and I like the t-shirt!).

  15. When can we expect the new games to be released?

    Hi, Greenfuzz!

The next game intended to see the sunlight is Midnight Commando.

It is being finished and tested but we have no release date defined at this time though.

Don't worry, we will make an announcement when the game is ready!
