Hey folks! Take a look over this brazilian H.E.R.O. flash version. HEROI stands for "Helicóptero Especial de Resgate Objetivo Inteligente" in Portuguese or "Intelligent Objective Rescue Special Helicopter" Click on the image and once the game is loaded click on "Começar" to start the game. Use arrow keys to move and space bar to deploy TNT charges. Enjoy Edit: link added http://heroi.route10.com.br/

Programmers are artists too. Sure he loved her _art_

Some thoughts I was checking the design and did notice that the audio caps (1uF) are pointed in schematics as being electolytic and the board contains ceramic footprints. Which one is correct? Maybe the board should include ground planes on both faces once they add no cost to production and can help system's electromagnetic interference performance. Last, but not the least, the output ground conections should be grouped with its respectively signals (right and left audio, chroma/luminance or composite) thus allowing easy cable conections. Just my 1/2 cents too. Good job

Atari 2600 S-Video Mod V2.2C Pre-Order

I want 3 blank PCBs and 3 FMS6400. Is that possible? -
Great! What software should I use to open the schematic and board files? Is the board single or double face?

Two important facts: 1 - Brazil's TV color system is PAL-M. That's correct and widely known. 2 - Brazilian Atari consoles and its clones are NTSC. The PAL-M codification is made just before the RF modulator. This is why we can run american carts and vice-versa.

To that end, you'll find pretty much all germicidal bulbs operate in the 254nm (253.7 to be exact) range since that is the wavelength that bacteria is most effected by. Now, there differences in quality. Some germicidal bulbs are dirty and waste output by also producing spikes of UV across other wavelengths in the UV spectrum, so there is less energy being emited in the 254nm range, so it will make erase times longer (much the same as a weak/old bulb). There are other bulbs in the UV-C class, but they aren't germicidal. Such as 180nm oxidation/ozone bulbs and wide spectrum 200-300nm medium pressure bulbs. I think this fact is what causes problems, because I've seen many cases, even by bulb stores, where they freely interchange UVC & germicidal as if they are the same thing when they aren't. Nice explanation. I'm building an EPROM eraser from scratch. Ok, its cheaper to buy one from HK but I'm having fun while building it. It sports an Atmel AT89S52 to control DSperform the timer and to control the LCD. I would like to close the loop with some sort of UV sensor. If someone knows something about UV sensing, please PM me! When I finish it I will open its sources and schematics.

Good work, Kimo! A simple, eficient solution for a specific purpose. I'll build one to test it. Could you please send me the files? Congratz

Hey Longhorn. Did you check the shipping costs
-
Hey Chris. I would love to betatest it. I can put it to play on LCD and CRT TV sets I do own. I have three different consoles to install the boards. I have an EE background, so I can provide you with some technical feedback.

CCE, wich stands for Comércio de Componentes Eletrônicos, is a brazilian manufacturer of consumer electronics. In the 80's it produced the Supergame, an Atari clone console. Take a look: Its carts were illustrated with an artistic picture related to the games' title. For example: Pac Man River Raid Well, I was handling my cart colection and then I noticed the Boxing cart. The picture mote is not about boxing, but something that reminded me the Pimball game. Here you go: Then I searched for the Pimball cart produced by CCE. Take a look: They share the same picture with different zoom. Probably CCE produced thousands of carts with this "mistake" PS: All images from www.atarimania.com and www.atariage.com

I support RH's suggestion! Perhaps in the future this material should be incorporated to the website. Just a thought! Happy new year to you bros!

So I would like to pre-order 3 blank PCBs. How much it costs to ship to Brazil?

Happy birthday to you Al. Enjoy your day

Longhorn you have the spirit of a real engineer. Congrats for your work. As soon as you release the schematics I'll build one. Thanks for the pix!

You'll get an awesome support from Bradley at http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/ -
Interesting point, Fish! What happens to an EPROM chip as time goes by is that logic level 0 rises to "0.something". BITROT in this case can be "healed" by lowering the power supply of the integrated circuit thus off-setting the logic 0 back to the valid electrical level. I believe (not tested) that a diode serially conected to Vcc would do the job allowing you to copy the content of the memory at least. Yes BITROT does happen!

You'll get divorced eventually :-) Congrats! -
Take a look over the TIA Sequencer made by Noah Vawter.

Hey Loooooonghorn! I suppose the classes you've mentioned are about control theory Could you, please post some pictures of this mod in action? I'm planning to built it and I would like to see what the vertical lines looks like. Cheers!
