  1. You got it printed just in time & it looks great! I just can't wait to get my copy. Hope a lot gamers buy this great game at the gaming expo. ...Holger
  2. My vote goes to Haunted House. For an early RPG-like game it has all the nice things in it, and it has creepy sounds. @GideonsDad: I also like Dark Chambers, because of the same reasons.
  3. Video Pinball 60 min Ms.Pacman 45 min Asteroids 45 min Phoenix 20 min
  4. When Chuck Norris plays Chuck Norris Superkicks, the opponents in the game kick themself to death.
  5. I like the "I brake for atari players" sticker.
  6. My original collection was very small: 4 switch woody with: Pac-Man Dodge 'em Spiderman (Parker) Haunted House Pitfall 2 Donkey Kong Dig Dug Phoenix
  7. Back in the early eighties I thought of buying one, but then I read an article about it. The writer of the article had problems with loading a saved program back into the unit, also he wrote about the limitations of the basic, the graphics and the sound. After reading this article I decided to buy a 800XL (Which I still own & use today). Today I think, I should buy a Compumate, just to test, how much of an real program you can write with it. A last it's a cool thing to turn your VCS2600 into "a real computer".
  8. The next step was the Compumate, made by Spectravision. Here's an add.
  9. Dig Dug is a really great port. I also like Asteroids, Jungle Hunt, Berserk and, of course, Centipede. Okay, Centipede's graphics are very "basic", but it has the great gameplay of the arcade. Don't forget Kangaroo. It's fun to play and has all the things from the arcade: different fruits, the bell and monkeys throwing apples. You also have 3 different screens, which are really challenging.

  16. ...if you want to know all about Chuck Norris, look here: Chuck Norris Facts :D :D
  17. I have four Xonox games: Artillery duel: Can be fun played against a friend. But it's very slow. Kung Fu Superkicks: This game sucks. The controls are very bad. It should be renamed as Kung Fu Slowkicks. Because of the poor gameplay the funniest thing is the name of the game itself. Robin Hood: This one is playable, but boring. You can shot opponents with your arrows, but as long as they fly you cannot move. A very dumb idea. Another thing I hate is the fact, that the opponent can appear just at your position, and you lose a live instantly without any chance. But is has good graphics, a nice title music and it has three different screens. Sir Lancelot: This is a real good one! The Joust-like part is well done with different difficulties at each level, and the second part of each level has a nice dragon in it. The graphics are good. For me this is the best game of these four.
  18. ...I didn't ask how much they are worth (by the way: more than 1 euro each... ), I just wanted to find out how rare these games are. Games are always worth as much as someone wants to pay for it. The gray label Obelix isn't listed in the PAL database, also it is not listed in the AtariAge database. I only found it on Atarimania. The Xonox Sir Lancelot/Robin Hood is listed on Atarimania in PAL, but not here on AtariAge or in the PAL database. Most Xonox double enders aren't really rare in germany, there are always some for sale on ebay or other platforms. So I count 4-5 for the Obelix and 2-3 for the Sir Lancelot/Robin Hood. BTW: The next Retro Börse is in Bochum, right?
  19. I just bought these two games on ebay. How rare are these PAL games? Thanks for the help!
