If you can get some money buy the stella adapter (here at atari age store) and play with the original joysticks nd paddles on your PC. It's awesome, best money I ever spent.

I have considered this and may get the stella adapter some day. For the time being I enjoy playing the ROMS using a Krok cart and my video arcade II. I also have the Harmony cart on order which I can use on the 7800. I grew up playing Atari on a four switch woody and would also like to reacquire one of those.

  2. I have only recently started seriously collecting 2600 Roms. I was just curious as to which Roms would be considered rare or difficult to find.

I've never heard of rom collecting. Theres no sport in that! lol. Do what you want i don't care. There are no rare roms as i know. If there is a rom, it will be on Atari age. Again i don't know because i don't use emulators.

Oh don't get me wrong, it sounds cool and I love computers. It's just, I don't see the sport in it. It like if you go dear hunting but there all in a box and your up on a scissor lift in the middle(I don't go hunting by the way). I like the feeling of having a game in my hand and sliding it in to the Atari 2600. I like sifting through flea markets, looking for that one system, that one game. Just the feeling of going back to the past 80's or the 70's with a cartridge just makes me feel good. However people who don't like spending money or just want to play the games should use emulators. I just don't think there's any sport in it. Do what makes you happy though. You have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

I would prefer to collect the actual games if possible as well. I live in a area with a small population which limits my collecting abilities. Buying items on E-BAY gets expensive with the cost of shipping in Canada and the items received are usually left overs. Collecting ROMS is the next best thing.

  3. Thanks for your reply. I am getting ready for the arrival of my Harmony cart. I would like to have my games ready to load up when it arrives. I have about six hundred as it stands.

  4. Have there ever been any Joystick games converted to Paddle controllers. Gremlins comes to mind as a game that would work well with paddles although there are many others. As far as I know Paddle controllers are unique to the Atari 2600 and I believe they could and should have been better utilized.

  5. I bought what might be one of the last old fashioned televisions from WAL-MART about five years ago. It is a 19 inch GE television which cost around $300 Canadian at the time. It weighs about 75 pounds which is just ridiculous. I use it for my 7800 and it works great with the Atari XE light gun. Maybe you could track down one of these babies to solve your troubles.

  6. I have a krokodile cart and was wondering if there is any advantage of getting a Harmony cart as well. Is one better than the other or are they both equally good. I have also heard talk of a 7800 version of the Harmony which I would buy since my Krokodile cart is not compatable with 7800 games. Any thoughts or comments are welcome and appreciated.

  7. The video arcade II is my favorite Atari console. I hate switching controllers and the duel controllers solve this problem. It also provides easy access to all the buttons which are used in certain games(Select/Reset-Quest for Quintanaroo) for example.

  8. Is the cart difficult to use as I am not very computer savvy. I would want to use it as a multicart and I am interested to know where I would find the ROM's. Are the ROM's free or do you have to pay for them? Also my computer is around five years old, would it support the cart and the Rom's.

My computer has 1.69 GHZ 376 MB of RAM. Microsoft Windows XP. Thanks

  9. Hey all!

I'm getting married! But she doesn't want me to pick up a second job to pay for the costs, so I have to part with some stuff. Expect more to be listed when I get home from work today.

Complete Krocodile Cart, included with it is a USB to Serial cable adapter - $200

    Complete Super Famicom: SOLD!

RedOctane Afterburner (best metal DDR pad on the market): $75 (prefer pickup only on this one, this thing's a beast, I no longer have the plywood to go with it)

I will most likely be also listing my PS2 with a custom paint job, complete rock band set of instruments as well. It just needs a multitap for a full band. It has HDLoader loaded on it with a 250GB hard drive installed. I'm taking offers on this.

Also for all you street fighter fans, I have a street fighter anniversary collection joystick that the insides no longer works. If you 360 players are interested in a joystick, I can mod it to work on the 360. Also taking offers on this.

I also have some random stuff that I have no use for/haven't touched since I bought it.

I have a Vectrex with Berzerk, but no controller. I'd love to get ahold of a controller but this is a bit more important. Taking offers on it.

I also have a bally astrocade, that does work. I need to dig out the controllers but I do have them. The Bally Astrocade label on the front of the console has been lost during my move from Texas to PA. Taking offers on that too.

I am interested in the Krokodile cart however I have never purchased anything from the marketplace before. I do have a paypal account but I don't really know where to go from here.
