  1. Except you do know who they are, don't you? You are welcome to have your own opinions but please stop making assumptions and let people decide for themselves mate. Its really obvious you have some serious beef with the bloke who has just released the Neo Geo multicart. As for darksofts cart lets wait until its released before mentioning it again... For all you know it could be another "No Mans Sky". There is a great track record of these devices being announced and then not coming to existing, although I know you will come back and say he has already released another cart. If it was me I would be reconsidering wasting any more time and energy on something which has a limited userbase, has already been released and essentially does the same thing and be concentrating on making something for the AES rather than the MVS at this point, as everyone who wants a MVS cart will probably end up buying the one that is available now regardless of your comments, and personally you are starting to put me off darksofts (non available) cart with your comments and the way things are coming across and steering me towards buying the cart that is available now and so far has good reviews.
  2. Please create a new thread for this or put it in a different relevant thread for those products. This is called going "off topic" and is frowned upon. This thread is just for Flashcarts and Multicarts, hence its title is Flashcarts and Multicarts (surprisingly). Its bad enough when this thread goes off topic as it is.
  3. I don't get it. If its going to be around the same cost, do the same thing, and already available, why are you complaining about the price? I understand is expensive, but considering the price of some Neo Geo games, and the complexity of such a device it probably about the right price, not helped by the current weak pound against every other worldwide currency presently. The link you sent to the page also comes up with an error message along the lines of: "Access denied. You’re not authorized to view this page. Your dick is too small. Your not affiliated. Bugger off."* * - May have some sarcastic British humour added to this comment.
  4. The most expensive flash cart in existence (to date) set to start Shipping 15th November and has AES emulation. NEOSD MVS - Neo Geo MVS Flash Cart https://www.neosdstore.com/shop/index.php?id_product=8&controller=product&id_lang=1 €379,99
  5. It is a good device. As well as the HxC emulator which works with the non plus 6128. Zaxon on the sellmyretro site also sells devices for the 464 and 6128: http://www.sellmyretro.com/user/profile/zaxonAt £35.99 for the 6128 device probably a better option than the Gotek.
  6. This is mentioned on the second post on the first page of this thread under the Amstrad GX4000 (CPC464 Plus, 6128 Plus). Most games for the system were actually originally on Tape. Some were on disk. Its fantastic the community have converted so many games to work with this and the GX4000.
  7. I have still have yet to obtain a PSU for the system and don't own a printer, so not even sure if the base unit I have works at the moment. I have a SCART lead (untested) though. As my primary interest is using the system to play games the question I have is - Was there many games released for the system on Disk (or tapes that have been converted to disk) that are not available on cart? For games playing would this be the best solution or is there a better option?
  8. I am looking to buy games for these two systems as cheap as possible. I don't need them boxed with instructions. Just the carts will do as these are to use and play.

  10. Just found this Colecovision 192 in 1 multicart which I do not think has been mentioned here before: http://www.retroelectronik.com/en/xin1-multigames-cartridge/78-colecovision-192-in-1-multicart-system-3863349509097.html Dip Switch based, rather than menu based and quite cheap at 38 Euros.

Actually I treat software developers with the same amount of disrespect as I do hardware developers. Only joking (if you have not realised by now like most Brits I have a sarcastic sense of humour). I have a lot of respect for people who create carts for the lesser common systems as it combines old technology with new technology, and even more so for those which do it as a hobby for the love of it where they probably make little money from it. They are enabling a way to keep the systems running for another generation to use, and games for some systems are getting harder and harder to come by with some prices reaching the almost ridiculous and in some instances certain games are almost impossible to obtain. See the posts I have done on the multicart thread here and you will see I have often promoted other people's carts there where I have not had to. Those who know me will know I have given a lot back to the UK retro community being one of the very few who has taken my own collection of systems to UK events for people to use and see. That is where these carts come in so handy, allowing people to choose the game they want to play out of every game released without me having to haul a few thousand carts around, and most people have a special game on a special system they specifically want to play, normally as they played it on their own systems back in the day. A recent example was someone who very specifically wanted to play Flimbos Quest on the C64 at an event. Taking original games not only uses up a lot of space, but also leaves the risk of someone swiping an original game cart if they are left out. So no, its not about "Pirating Games" at all! This also promotes the carts for the systems, where sometimes people don't even know a certain cart for a certain system exists and I know people have then gone and bought these carts (including 2600 Harmony) as a result of seeing them running on my systems. Life is too short and after some recent health issues, I would really love to own a 7800 multicart before i'm dead. Thats why I am so passionate about getting one.

Lets put it another way. Batari has not posted on these forums for over 5 months now: http://atariage.com/forums/user/5792-batari/ And none of those few posts this year were anything regarding this project which to me is looking more and more like it will become vapourware. To be honest I hope I am wrong but taking this into consideration, and everything everyone else has said, its not really looking promising, is it?

  14. Rather than collecting for systems, I decided to collect systems (Consoles and Computers) which is possibly far worse, as you need all the bits to go with them like joypads and joysticks, SCART cables and Multicarts, composite output mods, power supplies and step down transformers. I am not sure of the exact number, but think I am somwehere around 200 systems and 100 televisions now, and still have a lot of holes I am looking to fill but have recenetly slowed down a lot and spent money on getting the broken and non-working systems repaired. There are a few systems I want that I would buy without hesitation if they showed up as they are quite rare, and a few I am holding out for to get a better condition or price. I also recently got ripped off by a repairer who did not return some systems I sent him to mod and repair so am currently looking to replace those systems too. If worse came to worse I would want to at least keep the systems I grew up with - specifically the Atari 2600, Commodore +4, Commodore 64, Dreamcast and probably the Master System and SNES too as I also owned those growing up. Oh, and the BBC Micro (currently needing a service\repair) as I used them at School. The only system I never owned that I would also keep is the Sharp X68000. Although saying that there is a few systems which are so unpopular (mostly Japanese systems) that no multicart device exists for them or is ever likely to, where I have then started collecting games for those systems, where only 10-30 games were ever released for the systems anyway and fairly affordable so not too difficult. The Casio Loopy is one such system. I also have most Virtual Boy games except the homebrews and the few overly expensive original games.
  15. I also noticed this one does not seem to have been posted in this thread yet, but judging by the huge number of orders I expect most already know about this: Atari Lynx SD Multi Card: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/250637-lynx-multi-card-preorders/ Rumour is he is also working on a long overdue Jaguar SD card too.
  16. Thank you for adding me. Looks like I am around 311 in the current queue. I forgot to ask but please can you also add me to the pre-order list for your JagSD Jaguar cartridge too.
  17. Intellivision News! Heads Up - The LTO Flash Cart for Intellivision is now available to buy: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/228141-lto-flash-intellivision-flash-cartridge-information/?p=3587931 There is a shop in Germany selling these too for those of us in Europe - Details and links on that thread. I have just ordered mine
  18. I did not realise they had stock (I dont speak Germanish), but thanks for the headsup. Shipping to the UK from Germany is always a bit queer. Looks like 17Euros, but I wont be hit with any import fees so seems fair, but perhaps importing from USA would work out a tad cheaper even though the UK Pound to US Dollar is still weak. Congrats on getting this out the door before the other announced cart went on sale. Now all I need to do is find somewhere to buy the cart overlays.

Going along the lines of what has recently been said.... You will get an update if and when the chap creating this is ready to post an update. Not before and not after, but when he is ready. And you will bring me a shrubbery. Ni.

Seems a tad hypocritical. Why don't you wait for Saint or Batari to create a multicart for the Sega Genesis? Your answer will be they have no interest in creating one and it ain't gonna happen. Probably the same for Krikzz regarding Atari multicarts that already exist or are in development.
  21. Thanks. International Money Orders are a pain in the arse and I am international. Can I pay using this service? https://transferwise.com/ Also wondered why the cases are bright orange now. I would much rather have preffered the see-through shell to see its guts.
  22. Good to know this is finally available to buy after being delayed for a couple of years. Do you have the link\details of where I can buy this please as still not showing on LTO website?

So the only problem is Santa Simon? I think I could live without that tbh as its seasonal. And out of interest do those problematic 2600 games work on the 7800 using a 2600 Harmony cart and those games? If I want to play 2600 games I would play them on a 2600. I want this to play 7800 games on a 7800. I think we all get the message. The bloke releasing this is a perfectionist and wants no comeback. Fair enough, but a damn shame. There are so many talented hardware people here (unlike myself, where my strenghs lie elsewhere), its a shame someone can't re-release a run of 7800 Cuttle Carts or try and develeop their own SD Card 7800 solution to sell here. I even read that someone is working on a Jaguar SD Card device at the moment, but think they are currently overwhelmed with the orders of the Lynx SD Card they have released.

No offence is intended, but as I said I have now waited 6 years (which is a tad excessive) and still no sign of this being released any time soon, and judging by the last few posts its being developed by a one man team who wants to be left alone to work on the problems and not accept the help of others to speed this up a bit. I am also wondering if the Cuttle Cart 2 development took 6 years and had the same issues? Looking for something else I found this for the 7800 which I might try: http://www.vectrex.hackermesh.org/index.php/en/mvbd-mvmc-3/faqwhich should tie me over for the next 6 years until this is ready. Has anyone else tried one of these?
