Flashcart and Multicart List - All systems
StarshipUK replied to PsychedelicShaman's topic in Classic Console Discussion
It looks like a few firmware OS updates have just been released for the GBA Flashcart which improve SD Card Comapability. I might still hold off buying one for a little while until its all sorted though. -
Like many others, I would be happy to take the risk and see if it works based on whats ready now. This has been 6 years in development now, and I have a feeling it will never be released otherwise. If it does not work, then I will buy a 7800 which does work with it. My 7800 is the French version with the Peritel (SCART) cable included.
-
I am guessing these are no longer available? I sent my Astrocade away to someone with some other systems to repair and mod and he said he could do a mod like this one. I have only just got the system back off him (been trying to get it back for months!) and he has not touched it, so he has messed me around over this big time.

Voltmace/Videomaster Database Leap Frog dump?
StarshipUK replied to Thorsten Günther's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Are there any plans for a mass produced cartridge then? The 1292 Wikipedia Article lists the machines and compatibility: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1292_Advanced_Programmable_Video_System Quite simply the standard "1292 Advanced Programmable Video System" is the most common format most machines used, unless you are in Germany in which case the Interton VC-4000 is the most popular machine there. I am guessing just making the carts in those two formats would be sufficient for most people, or also creating an adaptor as the only difference is the pin location and slot size. -
Will this News be on this thread or will you be posting another one I have to look out for? I am following this thread with email notifications and dont think you can follow a person to see what new threads they are posting as easily.

Pretty sure I paid for my Harmony Carts using Paypal without any problems. So are these being released anytime soon now then? Front page still says they are being released after CGE which was almost 2 years ago now. It was quite exciting to have had two intellivision carts announced at the same time a few years back and so far seems like both were prematurely announced. Like many others I don't care about extra features as long as they play games.

If you should be having a go at anyone it should be klasko54 and jblenkle for shit stiring and winding me up. They had no reason to post on comment on this, but they did and I am someone who says things how they are and not sugarcoat things. If I had a printer I would use that and if I had have seen the thread earlier I would have posted earlier. Let's just say I got more than screwed over on the Adam I bought, so I am a bit touchy as a result. I have also lost out on items saying I wanted them and then being forgotten or told "you did not post to the thread for more than a week so I did not think you wanted it" and have lost out to queue jumpers before. As I said before I respect what the creator is doing and hope he is making a few quid out of it to make it worth their while. The long term issue is there are still people asking for these, so obviously there is a bigger demand long term. Personally with such demand I would have restricted sales to one per person if it was me - I can't really understand why so many people bought two as while possible its unlikely they will be using two machines at the same time, and some of us can't even use one. I am passionate about the systems and at the end of the day I just want to get the bloody thing up and running so I can take it to gaming events for other people to see, use and enjoy.

Reread the post - I am not being disrespectful to the creator in any way and have already asked nicely more than once. What pisses me off is people jumping the queue and to be fair I have been looking and asking for one for several years. If I had found this thread earlier I would have signed up earlier. OK??? I probably spend more free time than I actually have and more time than most on this hobby looking for stuff, but sometimes things are still missed as you can't be everywhere and check everything all the time and I am certainly not exclusive here like others. I have also missed out on other items too in the past - specifically the first batch of Enterprise SD Card devices, and I am also at the top of the list for them if a second batch is ever produced and likewise more people are also on the list for them after me. If they were before me I would respect that and not try to queue jump them. Around the time this was announced I was spending a considerable amount of time preparing and dealing with a difficult court case, which has since been found in my favour but even now is still not fully settled, but am hoping it will be before the end of this month. It has been a difficult time on many levels, as well as having to keep my business running which pays for this hobby. I am also working on recording an album which has also used much of my free time up and you just can't be everywhere with everything at once. Some people can devote themselves to one specific system and cause, but I can't and have an interest in all computers and consoles as a whole, although do have phases which is currently focused on Russian systems more than anything, with most systems having very little English information available it can be challenging. I am next in reserve on the list being first to post before the other chap - end of story. As for the printer, if I did not get screwed over by a dumb arse American only selling me the base unit and not mentioning I would need a printer to power it, then I would have a printer to power it up. As it stands I live in the UK where this was not released, hence my original lack of knowledge for the system and I have only ever seen one for sale in Europe listed as not working so no use. No other US sellers would ship a working printer over for a reasonable price. As I also take systems from my collection of 160+ systems (which other collectors do not) to retro events for very little profit and sometimes at my own expense, it would also help a great deal having a smaller more portable power unit rather than also having to lug a huge heavy printer around with the system. Hope that explains everything more clearly for you where I am coming from. Carry On.....

I think you will find I am first in line if someone backs out or decides to sell theirs. I have been waiting for one since 12th May 2013 and made the request on 19th February with several posts since then to say I am still interested to take the place of the next person who drops out. At the moment that is still the case and I will be extremely pissed if someone jumps the queue ahead of me and is offered one.

Flashcart and Multicart List - All systems
StarshipUK replied to PsychedelicShaman's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Actually a lot of links are now dead or wrong, and a lot of devices are missing from those first two posts. Sadly only PsychedelicShaman can update the first two posts and he rarely updates it. The last lists of systems I created shortly after he added a list of systems I created (in the correct format) were not added, so I just post about them here now. If someone wants something bad enough they will do the research and find the item and correct link. -
Just to let you know I would still be interested in one if someone decides to pull out, or if anyone previously bought one that they no longer need and would like to sell.

Thank you for this and your reply. Just to let you know it is now showing shipping as $20.03 to the UK and import charges at $31.24. Shipping is now $12.22 cheaper. Actual UK value of item and postage is around £102. The UK charges 20% VAT on imports, which is equal to £20.40, which is around $28.59. However as mentioned before: "Any parcel assessed as being liable for Customs charges will also incur a Royal Mail handling fee of £8. Any goods imported into the UK over the value of £15 are liable to import VAT. Gifts between private individuals over the value of £36 (£34 as of 1 January 2016) are also liable for VAT." £8 is equal to about $11 (sorry - though it was £10 and the Pound to US Dollar exchange rate is really, really crap at the moment!) To summarise I will be saving money on not having to pay a clearance fee to royal mail for import duties and the shipping charge is now cheaper. There could have been a chance Royal Mail would not charge import duties by missing it, but I can not remember the last time that happened and Royal Mail are really hot on charging for imports, as I think they use the clearance fee as an income source. I am guessing the cost of the Global Shipping Program depends on where you live in the USA for local shipping more than anything else. The Bowling Ball I bought was a much bigger and heavier item than this but it was located in New York, and showed as being shipped on a Virgin Atlantic aircraft from JFK. Once the items arrive in the UK they are then shipped by a private budget courier (normally Hermes or Yodel), who seem to treat the international parcels with more respect than the ones delivered within the UK, where they normally leave the parcels on top of the roof:

If you are using EBay is there any chance you could please look in to shipping this to me using EBays Global Shipping Program? I recently bought a Xavix Bowling Ball Controller (quite big and heavy) from a USA Seller on EBay. Using EBays Global Shipping Program the postage cost $17.20. The shipping on this, which I am guessing is much smaller and lighter than a bowling ball is showing shipping at $32.25. If there are import duties then these are also paid by myself using Ebays Global Shipping Program, which normally works out cheaper than having to pay them to the UK Post Office who add an extra $20 clearance and handling fee on to import duties (Ebay do not). I believe the way it works is you would ship it to a local Ebay global postage centre in the USA where they then bulk send items to the UK, thus making the postage and import duties cheaper.

I am looking to buy controllers 3 and 4 for the Bally Astrocade. I do not mind what numbers they are marked as, as long as they are working and in good condition.
-
Can I purchase one please - Shipping to England. Can I also ask what the difference between 2.50 and the last version released is please (and new Dip Switch settings if there are any new games).
-
Thank You. I did actually post a thread here on 12th May 2013 at 4:05PM trying to buy one. It is a shame no one updated that thread to let me know these were now available: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/212220-adam-power-supply/ Then again others may blame me for not seeing these were now available to buy in limited numbers.

I have recently found someone selling a Coleco Adam system advertising it as a 240 Volt system (with 240 Volt plug attached), but non working. Was the Coleco Adam (Printer) ever released in Europe as a 240 Volt System? I thought it was only ever released in America as a 110 Volt system and that could explain why it is not working (perhaps they blew it up plugging it into 240 Volts, lol!)
-
Eeek. I somehow missed this having owned a Coleco Adam for some time, but not realising when I got it I needed the Printer which was the PSU. If you can ship to the UK and have another person back out please let me know as I would be interested. If not I will get a PSU for the system somehow one day..... one day :-)

Thank you for your help and posting the links.

I am looking for Scanned Images for games for the controllers for Intellivision Games. I understand someone did make a limited set of repro's a while back but I am just after pictures\scanned images of them if anyone can help please or knows of anywhere I might be able to find them. I also know the Official Site at http://www.intellivisiongames.com/has downloads for 50 games, but is missing 10 which were included with the remade systems. I did contact them but they never replied to my E-Mail, and it would appear their website has been hacked as it keeps redirecting to dodgy websites so I am guessing they are no longer active. I would love to get scans of those 10 missing ones and any others where knowing the controller buttons is critical to being able to play the games.

Flashcart and Multicart List - All systems
StarshipUK replied to PsychedelicShaman's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I'd say the multicart for the Sord\CGL M5 was under-produced, mainly because I would have liked one and never got one, as they were not very well advertised and well sold out by the time I had tried to obtain one. I spoke to Charlie back in April 2014 and mentioned the new M5 ROM finds to him, who mentioned it might spur him on to build a few more M5 boards, but that was back in April 2014 and I am also still waiting for him to get back to me about buying a einsdein SD card (I had one reserved) for the Einstein since then. I believe every cart known to exist for the M5 has now been dumped into MESS so now would be a good time to make a new complete multicart for the system. In the meantime I am in talks with someone I know to modify a M5 cartridge with a ZIF socket and burn all 23 games onto separate chips so I can just change the ROMs. This is easier to do than creating a multicart. They are also doing this for the Casio PV-1000 for me and making 13 ROM chips for each game. I don't know why I never thought of something like this before. -
Voltmace/Videomaster Database Leap Frog dump?
StarshipUK replied to Thorsten Günther's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. The cartridge has been sent to a MESS dumper in Austria to be dumped, who seems to have knowledge of dumping Voltmace Database carts, so hopefully it will be successfully dumped at some point in the next few weeks. I have asked for a copy of the dump and will pass it on to you once I have it. If allowed I will also attach and post the ROM to this thread for all to have, but am guessing it will also be available in MESS in the next update.
