  1. I am not sure if anyone can help, but I am looking for some Apple Bandai Pippin USA Games. Most of these have never beeen ripped and are not available in any collections. I would prefer rips to originals and it is a case of if I could buy them I would, but it seems they are rather hard to come by. I know Japanese versions of some of these exist, but this is what I appear to be missing and what was available at some point: CineNoir Cool Crafts Exotic Sushi Gundam Mobility Fleet Gus Goes to Cyberopolis Gus Goes to Kooky Carnival DL-Zone: Interactive Theater Movieoke Mr. Potato Head Saves Veggie Valley Navigator Pegasus Prime Puzzles? Racing Days Tarot Mystery (Japan) Telebi Works Terror T.R.A.X. Web Browser If anyone can help I would be grateful.
  2. Here is another one for the Memotech MTX. MAGROM http://www.primrosebank.net/computers/mtx/projects/magrom/magrom.htm 38 Games and a bit easier to use than the REMEMOrizer
  3. GoSDC for the Acorn BBC model B, BBC Master and Electron. http://web.inter.nl.net/users/J.Kortink/home/hardware/gosdc/what.htm
  4. If I pay for something in return for a promised Perk - be that a physical item or piece of software, I expect to get that item or a refund. Anything else is pure theft regardless of whether the money has been spent on something else. From memory something like this happened with the Pandora. I know someone who did something like this for a retro magazine and then the magazine never happened, so he lost a few friends as a result.
  5. I am becoming more and more wary of non existing kickstarter products and paying up front for stuff which does not exist. The Retron 5 which was suppose to be released before Christmas has now apparently been delayed until April. There are a few kickstarter projects I bid on. Most of which are delayed or overdue with some posting very few updates as to what is happening (mostly PC games). One Music related one I bid on over a year back has still not delievered all the perks that was promised. If a kickstarter falls through or you dont get everything you were promised, it does not seem like the donater paying the money up front is protected about getting their money back if it still falls through. Be wary! Sometimes it is better to wait until the product has been made and released and then pay for it.
  6. Forgot to mention there has also been an Accelerator Card for the Commodore Amiga 500 released, which also has two CF slots for Kickstart and Games. More info and ordering at: http://www.vesalia.de/e_aca500.htm I will probably not get one of these as I do not own an Amiga 500. I own an Amiga 1200 which is quite souped up and has a CF HDD and I believe runs all the games an Amiga 500 can run and more, so there does not seem much point in getting a 500 or this card.
  7. You might need to do an update for the TI 99/4A section on the front page. I have found a seller for the Flash Cards at: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/nanoPEB-V2-Compact-Flash-Drive-Controller-and-RS232-Port-for-the-TI-99-4a-/200978431134 and the older CF7+ card at: http://www.stargames.be/shop/accessoires/1052-compactflash-drive-pio-port-cf7.html I still do not own one, so not know too much about the differences of them or how easy they are to use. I have quite a few games on Cartridge, but expect I will end up getting one at some point to play with. Still surprised no one has made an Everdrive type multicart for this system, as the TI 99/4A was a very popular machine in America and parts of Europe. In other exciting news there is a new SD card developed for the Thomson MO5, MO5E, MO5NR, MO6, TO7, TO7/70, TO8, TO8D, TO9+ and Olivetti PC128. More info is at: http://dcmoto.free.fr/bricolage/sdmoto/index.html And other (earlier) device information at: http://dcmoto.free.fr/bricolage/sdmo/index.html http://dcmoto.free.fr/bricolage/to8sd/index.html http://dcmoto.free.fr/bricolage/mo5sd/index.html And forum discussion at: http://forum.system-cfg.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=4407 What is unusual about this SD card device is it seems to plug into the Joystick Port and then needs a basic program to be manually entered or loaded from Tape, QDD or Disk to be able to access files from the SD Card device, but there is also a chip modification which can be made to a controller expansion pack: http://dcmoto.free.fr/bricolage/cs91-280/index.html It does not look like these are available to buy premade, but if there are enough orders then kits can be ordered for self assembly.
  8. Hi Dan, Are you one of the organisers? If so it would be useful to just have dates if it is happening, as I am thinking of flying over to the UK for this, and want to use some air miles so need to book the flights as soon as they become available. The longer I leave it, the less chance there is of being able to get the free (after passenger taxes) flights. I noticed the one held a couple of years back was announced around this time.
  9. Has there been any announcement or proposed dates for CGE Las Vegas 2014 yet?
  10. Now I have my Falcon working, can someone recommend some games to play on it please? Whats the best/top 10 games released on the Atari ST? Are there any games that were released exclusively on the Atari ST but no other system? I am also interested in finding out about games that were released exclusively for the Atari Falcon. LLamazap is the only one I know of at the moment.
  11. Sorry if I started something here - I appreciate anyone who offers free help and advice on stuff I know nothing about and sometimes it scares me knowing that I do not know about things and entering a world of experts who know far more than I do and do not tolerate the ignorance of a newbie. Perhaps I should have provided more info to start with but to begin with I did not have a clue where to start and some of what I did and found out was pretty much guesswork. So I have now gone to http://dbug.kicks-ass.net/patch.php and am seeing this message: Oooops, we have a small technical problem! When trying to connect to the database, MySQL barfed and produced the following error (which we proudly present to you, our esteemed visitor): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)We will try to fix it ASAP! So have these games been deleted because of what I have said here? If they have I expect I will be hated more than I already am. I really don't deserve to live. Such a shame as I expect a lot of time and effort has been spent on these to make them work and for free with no repayment.
  12. The Cumulus for the Tangerine Oric Atmos / Oric-1 is now available for Pre-Order at: http://forum.defence-force.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1012 Will probably be your only chance to get one - and possibly up to 6 months away.
  13. So I found an ICD Driver disk with HDUTIL.PRG on it which I ran - Went into Config and displayed a screen of info which means bugger all to me. RAM used was showing as 385KB so I changed Number of TOS Data buffers from 10 to 5 and Number of TOS FAT buffers from 10 to 5 which reduced RAM used to 225KB. Saved this and Exited. Sensible Soccer which was showing the LOW RAM error now loads. So then after a few reboots the LOW RAM Occupied started showing again when trying to load Sensible Soccer. Checking the Hard Drive ICD settings those have not changed, so I am not sure why this is happening. So is the only solution then to change the Hard Drive driver to a different one? If so will I need to reinstall the Atari OS and is there anywhere I can find a copy of that or a guide on how to reinstall it?
  14. The Hard Drive driver being used is ICD Pro 6.5.5 but there does not appear to be any tools to adjust RAM usage on the machine for this driver.
  15. That page menions nothing about Low Ram or how to fix it - just how to parttion hard drives which is not the issue here as they are already partitioned. I am not being stupid - go to that page and search "LOW". the term does not come up once - nothing, completely sod all. I am not taking the piss or being think or stupid but there is sweet fuck all on that page about LOW RAM errors.
  16. Thanks for the help but sorry for being a newbie, not knowing what I am doing and obviously being a complete cunt asking for some help on here! FYI no files I found on the website explain how to free up low memory errors or none I could find. E-Mail who? What the fuck is this forum for, if its not for asking for some help when one has a problem?
  17. Could you give an example of a game to try please? As most of them say they should work with Falcon, I was guessing they would all work. Where is Usage to read it? Is it a file on the Falcon? The Falcon has 14MB RAM so should have enought to run all games. Or perhaps another guide somewhere which explains how to fix the problem?
  18. I recently bought an Atari Falcon 030 with CF HDD. I have never owned one before but they seem quite easy to use. I have found a load of games at: http://atari.8bitchip.info/fromhd.php and have tried loading them on, but some of them which should be working are not. For example: Axels Magic Hammer http://atari.8bitchip.info/ASTGA/A/axelmh.php The Chart shows this will work with a Falcon and I have downloaded the Hard Disk version. I have copied the game onto a floppy disk and then onto the Falcons CF HDD on Partition D. I am clicking on START.TOS to load the game. I get a cursor appear in the top left hand corner of the screen for a few seconds and then just a blank white screen and nothing else. The only way to get back to the desktop is to switch the machine off and back on. Quite a few games I have tried are doing this. Another game called Atomix is showing a message: Too much low RAM occupied. Read usage how to fix it. I am using a VGA adaptor but have also tried using a SCART cable and the same thing is happening. If anyone could please help out or offer any adise I would be very grateful.
  19. Tatung Einstein: - SD Card device for the Tatung Einstein created by Charlie Robson. Not officially released yet, but contact Charlie if you would like to purchase one.
  20. I doubt it as GB/GBC and GBA use different slots. It may be possible to use GB images on a SuperCard though, although thus far this has been untested and as I have bought one, looks like I may be one of the first to test the combo.
  21. GBA to SNES Cartridge Adapter - http://www.tototek.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_33&products_id=168 allows you to play GBA games using a SNES. Game Boy Advance: SuperCard Mini SD - There are several versions of the SuperCard supporting either CF, SD or Mini SD, and allows you to play GBA games on a NDS or GBA. Looks like this can still be purchased at: http://www.colorapples.com/mini-sd-to-super-card-adapter-for-gba-sp-ndsl-tf-to-mini-sd-card-adapter-p-69466.html It can also play NES games, GB games, PCE games and SMS games.
  22. Dragon 32, 64 and the CoCo 1, 2: Prototype: multi-load cart: There are several pre-production prototypes in existence which are out with testers. Hopefully at some point in the not too distant future the creator will finish the firmware and they'll go into proper production. Works with Dragon 32, 64 and the CoCo 1, 2 (Dos emulation not supported on the CoCo yet), also not tested on the CoCo 3.
  23. Looking to buy some working LaserActive Mega LD games if anyone has any they would like to sell please.
  24. Cassette WAV files: There are still many older computers which do not have (and probably never will have) multicart devices made for them. In some cases WAV files are available containing exact audio of cassette games which can be loaded using a PC by connecting to the PCs sound card. This is not always practical and there are some smaller MP3 players which support WAV files without converting them to MP3 or other compressed formats. One such device (which I have had success with) is the MPMAN MP101 with volume levels around 20 (this does vary from computer to computer) and also takes Micro-SD cards up to 16GB (possibly larger sizes too) - be wary that some portable audio MP3 devices may try and covert WAV files to MP3 or just not support the WAV format. If the computer has a integrated cassette unit or a special cassette unit with special connector then a Car Cassette Adaptor can be used to make this work. In most cases copying WAV files to audio CDs will NOT work as CDs contain error correction (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reed%E2%80%93Solomon_error_correction) which result in inacurate data being played and MP3 files, MiniDisc and other compressed formats are also unlikly to work because of this.
  25. Coleco Adam: IDE Card Accessories: includes ADAM formatted compact flash card. Also requires the IDE "hard drive" card. Needs a boot ddp or boot disk to load. A cassette is included but a file on the Atarimax Colecovision Ultimate SD Multicart can also be used, with more information at: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/202664-new-idecompact-flash-interface-for-adam/
