  1. 90's memory: Looking up Titanic on the IMDB, and something called Titanic Orgy is the second search result.

and shortly thereafter they changed it so you had to opt-in for adult titles.

    2. Cobra Kai

      Cobra Kai

I bet there's lots of going down in that movie

  2. 80's memory: Going to see The Smurfs and the Magic Flute and the jaw-dropping disappointment when the smurfs all have the wrong voices.

Makes sense. Growing up watching the series, its very hard to watch the magic flute movie because of the different voices, like you say. Still, it is a good movie and I'm a fan of it these days.

    3. MrMaddog

This!! I've wanted to see it in the theater and when I finally saw it on TV...Bleh.

    4. Zach

Thanks, Official Ninja. I haven't seen it in over 30 years, so I might give it another try.

  3. The uncanny timing between this series and YouTube's #DearMe campaign is probably a coincidence.
  4. Guys, did you see the Wikipedia featured article today?

My idiot parents thought that game would be good training for a summer job at the airport. SMACK!

    3. DoctorTom

      Not a great game.

I didn't know that Wikipedia had featured articles.

  5. Mark your calendars. May 5th is the date when New Horizons is expected to take better pictures of Pluto than the Hubble Telescope.

Pluto? Who cares? It's not even a planet any more.

    4. Keatah

It is too a planet. Always has been, always will be.

  6. Heh. Laura Branigan's "Gloria" was originally an Italian song. Who Knew? http://youtu.be/KTM_qG_NPC8

      Random Terrain

I think I found out some time in the 1990s.

    2. atari2600land

This isn't the song that goes "GLooooooria! G-L-O-R-I-A!"

    3. OBO

I remember the Italian version, but not Brannigan's.

  7. I need your clothes, your boots, and your motorcycle... please.

      Nice night for a walk.

    3. Torr

"Hey Buddy, you got a dead in there or what?"

      "Please come back later."

  8. Finally started watching Dr. Who, and suddenly Bill and Ted's phone booth time-machine doesn't seem so original anymore.

    1. adam242

      Maybe not, but funnier.

    2. Torr

I never knew about Dr Who until recent years either! Looking back, it's funny they got away with it... imagine trying to make a movie with Time Travelling Delorean... or car of any kind really.

    3. xucaen

When i saw that in the theater I didn't understand why everyone in the theater sighed when they saw the phone both. Now I get the "bigger on the inside" joke.

  9. This is a little late, but congratulations on the release of Stay Frosty 2, Darrell! Also congratulations go to Nathan and everyone else involved in the project.
  10. I've posted an update on my profile, but no good news.
  11. Anyone else remember this show? Konrad the English 80's robot teaches science:

    1. ProperRogue

      Indeed I do. Great find!

      Nathan Strum

I've always been obsessed with bacon. The rest of the world is just now catching up.

    3. BydoEmpire

Because someone is making a lot of money, and they found a way to make a lot more money so they advertise the crap out of it.

    4. cybercylon

Because Jim Gaffigan says it is so. A salad... yuk. A salad with bacon is meal. Baked potato? It's a meal with bacon.

  13. As a child, when I first learned there was a country called Iran, I immediately thought of A Flock of Seagulls.

Hmm, I think someone else made a similar post a few weeks ago. Oops.

"Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran!"

    4. doctorclu

When I was a kid we used to say "Iraq then Iran." ;)

  14. October 6 was the 40th anniversary of the first broadcast of Space Battleship Yamato. However, we didn't get Star Blazers in North America until 1979.

    1. retrorussell

I got to karaoke the theme song at a bar not long ago. :)

    2. doctorclu

Would love to Karaoke that. Anyway, I recently watched all three series, three movies plus live action movie lately. I have not caught up on the reboot of the series, Yamato 2199 yet.
