Support for the SARA chip? Either way, I'm going to make sure I don't miss out on this like I did with the Cuttle Carts.

-
Here's what I have now. That Archon looks sweet too. I have fond memories of that game on the Atari 800, but didn't even know it was ported to a cartridge. Maybe it's time to get a 5200.

-
I'm looking forward to another year for the awards. I have a pretty good idea who will get my vote for the Players' Choice, but I won't preempt your list now.

Nice photos, SS! I presume Fatal Run is there because it's an NTSC version?
By the way, I forgot to list my Thrust+ Platinum. No offense, Thomas. I just keep it separately from my other homebrews because of the box.

That's a good point, Stan. I can see how selling hacks would look like piracy to people outside the hobby. I don't dispute that Infogrames has legal control over the games, but I did take it a little personally when the hacks were called "wrong".
-
I agree with Bryan here. The hacks that were formerly in the store were more like fan-fiction than pirating.
-
No no no. I just meant that googling for videogames often leads to some nasty sites. I didn't mean to imply anything wrong with Cybergoth's page.
-
Grand Theft Auto? Oh - nevermind.
I'll take a look at the games being considered this weekend. Meanwhile, Gateway maybe you could suggest a web site about your choice. One without a bunch of pop-up ads or spyware.

It's not that I'm not interested in the poll, I just don't have much familiarity with the candidate games. I have however figured out that Pepper II is not a sequel to Burgertime.
Of course, whichever game Manuel does will be a worthy homebrew.

Expect my entry somewhere around 2359, MST, on November 1 2004.And might I humbly suggest that any coin toss be done with a toonie.

Special thanksYou're welcome. LOL, it took me a while to figure out the changes you made.

I hope the interest expressed in this thread inspires someone to do the conversion to F6 bankswitching.

Jakk's Pacific is indeed making a Star Wars unit. See for yourself:
http://www.jakkstvgames.com/coming.html
There's not a lot of information at this point about what games the unit will include, but we'll all know by the time it's released.

Expect more updates over the next few weeks
Updates I'm looking forward to:and of course,

Even if the ROM image is not released to the public, I hope Tempest gets a chance to see it, so he can add a page to atariprotos.com.
-
I heard that GCC Millipede does use the superchip, so making a cart would not be easy. It would take the same effort as making an NTSC Klax.
I keep "bugging" AtariAge to add this prototype to the database.

A fun game that has been hacked many times. We all know about Berzerk Voice Enhanced, but I wanted to give a shout out for Paul Slocum's Mr. Roboto.
My Berzerk playing time is equally split between these two hacks.

Hi Jerky,
Considering the excellent playfields you submitted for the Combat Redux contest, I really look forward to seeing what you do with Pitfall!
-
I'd just like to take a minute to say a hearty thanks to Tempest and everyone else who was involved in just getting us this far.You are doing the work of saints, and all of us fans greatly appreciate it.

By the way, Tempest, were you able do extract enough data to rule out the possibility of a mislabeled cartridge? As NovaXpress pointed out, it has been known to happen.

Unfortunatley I'll be missing CGE this year. It's a busy month at work.
Should anyone happen to go to Santa Cruz, and visit the Boardwalk, could you please report on whether they still have a Dragon's Lair 2 machine at the arcade? It was there in the late 90's at least.

By the way, SARA is another name for what that document calls the Super Chip.
