Dang, I miss that show. It went national for a while. I still have an episode of "The Inneffectual Middle Management Suck-Ups on videotape.
-
Of course it's been brought up before that bankswitching is arguably cheating too. Good cheating, not bad cheating. I look forward to watching the development of this game, John.

This is the first I've heard of it. After a quick search of the forums, I found out what LedHead was, but didn't see any sign that it was ported to the VCS. Anything else you can tell us about it, Bob?

I suppose you could also use one of the multiple cart selectors that was made back in the day, assuming you don't have to turn off the console to change carts. If you are going to expend the effort to make the adapter, you might as well go all the way and make a multi-cart selector.

Good luck with the job hunting, Robert. I infer then that you think job hunting will be more time consuming than your work was? If so, it's not a big deal if you miss the minigame competition.

I saw Trump on PBS the other evening, during a Robert Kiyosaki lecture. My opinion of Trump has declined a little knowing he has endorsed Kiyosaki. If you're wondering why that would dissapoint me, take a look at Rich Dad, Poor Dad, and ask yourself why the author refuses to identify the character he calls "rich dad".

I've attached the title screen graphics to the top of the original post. Thanks, Nathan.

Leaving the country for two years- should I sell my stuff?
Zach replied to jerseystyle's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Sounds fascinating. Peace Corps? I'd expect a post from Gateway soon. -
Nice! I wish my printer weren't broken. The instructions suggest looking with one eye as well, and that would explain why the video looks so good. Did you try that? p.s. I've seen the sidewalk art photos before, and I agree they are cool.

Umm, don't some frogs secrete hallucinogens?
-
Either one is fine with me. Option 2 seems to be simpler.
-
That might be a possibility. Do you want a dump of the Snoopy game too, Tempest? I think that if feasible, the modded 7800 should be our first choice, since with mattkain's permission we could also dump Snoopy without damaging the label.

It takes Windows 98? I'm running XP. I could also borrow a Windows ME system from someone, if that would help.

I got a chip on eBay a few weeks ago for about $30. IMO Malagai is the best of the rare games.

I'd guess it's already been worked out. Has it? If not, someone let us know. And as someone else said, Northern California is a pretty big place; narrowing it down a little might help to see if someone can make the trip. Hell, maybe you live in the same town as another member here... Regardless, it's good to know that this will be released for free and not sold. Hey Fred, would you trust your "poor man's dumper" with a one-of-kind prototype? You can see on the left where I live. If mattkain lives nearby, and batari's dumping technique is safe, I might be able to help.

Of course. That's why I tested and paid attention to the bug, because I like the game.
-
No problem, just expand one of these designs with the 56-pixel technique.
-
Hmm. The label says "BEAR GAME" followed by what look like numbers. It's hard to discern from the photo. Can you read the label for us, Lee?
-
As I read this and past threads on the subject, I'm becoming increasingly convinced that we should just call it "Unknown Men-A-Vision Game".

Glad you liked it. The singing may have been lame, but that might have just been the attempt to adapt the original songs to English. I first played SC5.2 on the Dreamcast in Japanese, and it was more fun when I didn't understand the lyrics. Have you tried "Ulala's Dance" yet? There's no story, just copying dance moves. It'll give you a better chance to practice the timing. IMHO, it'll be like learning to ride a bicycle. Once you get the hang of it, you won't forget. And don't compare yourself to others, just learn at your own pace. :-) (And to really make it easier, change the control configuration and set all moves to one button. )

I can see the whole picture on my TV. I'd choose a lighter shade of green though, it's barely visible. (Or maybe I need to adjust my brightness )

Yeah, supercat's design is super-clever, but it doesn't compare so well to the marquee. Dennis, I was able to reproduce Nathan's design, including shifting the shadow by 1 pixel. If you're interested in more unsolicited work, I'll send you the code.

Doing a quick scan of the code shows vertical sync does 2 scan lines. Also, I don't see VBLANK used at all. Am I missing it? I just tried adding a third line during VSYNC and also added writes to VBLANK. Still didn't fix the problem.
-
I went ahead and converted supercat's idea to graphics. The M is slightly modified.

Cool. No need to rush, of course.
