PS Hello Sacha, how is the site coming along?
Sorry, I have unbelieveable much work to do, so this is all I could make so far: http://skriegel.de/nomam2010

Great. I´m in with two.

Hello guys
Six and a half weeks and counting.
And a Logo:
A website is on the way - stay tuned. :-)
-
Mine too, jippieh!
-
How much do you think it'd go for on eBay?
Nothing. Absolutely nothing. So, just send it to me. I´ll take care of it.
-
And I order another one for "Cash" from the ABBUC-Forum. He doesn´t have an account here and don´t want to create one just for that single topic. I know him personally, so I don´t have a problem with doing that for him.
-
Ok, this time I want to have it too. I´ll take TWO.
-
And I'll have to ask for moving the free weekend I already asked my employer for...
I´m sorry for that. But perhaps you can make it n "official visit" because downstairs is a small shop of the same business you are working in.
There'll hardly be time for visiting the Naval Memorial and/or U-995 during the NOMAM, I guess.
It absolutely depends on you. Laboe is very small and it is just a five to ten minutes walk to the submarine. The beach is even closer. I think I will organise some kind of "guard" for the room, so that we can go on top of the memorial tower as a group and enjoy the great view over the Eastern Sea and the Kieler Förde. The Navy memorial is rather close too and worth a visit. I am going to set up a website with more information.
not to be smart but here it is. Al Bundy would be proud
Yeah, I love Bundy´s National Organization of Men Against Amazonian Masterhood, but I have to tell you that NOMAM in our case means "Not Only Marvellous Atari Machines".

I am still waiting for the latest items I bought at eBay USA which are:
2 XEGM
1 XEGS
They will be delivered to a friend of mine who lives in Utah, because shipping to Germany is too expensive. I have my ways to get it over the ocean cheaper. The items were rather cheap for me due to the week Dollar (compared to the Euro). I did a small job for an American company and got the payment to my PayPal account in US Dollar. If I transfer it to my German bank account I would lose a lot of money because it would be changed to Euro. So I decided to spend the money to do online shopping in the US. :-)
In Germany I just won a Falcon, but it did not arrive here yet. :-(

never played it either, should I?
Absofuckinglutely!
It´s one of the greatest games of all times. In my opinion.
Anyway: I tried it on planetmule, but it crashed three times after about 25 minutes. I still prefer the real hardware. :-)

Once you get over the considerable learning curve, it's one of the most professional-friendly software packages around. Ever single aspect of the user interface can be re-programmed / customized/automated using in-app scripting or user-written plug-ins. The speed and effeciency of operation once learned puts it far above all of the other 3D packages I've tried.
3D in general is not too easy in the beginning, but once you understand what it is about, any program should be learnable in acceptable time. I just started about one year ago with Lightwave 3D which was very hard in the beginning. But when I started 3DS Max 6 months ago it was just learning where the tools are hidden here (but honestly: for modelling 3DS Max is a mess, I still prefer Lightwave).
Thanks for sharing. I try to work it over and make a LW 3D (*.lwo) object of it. Am I allowed to share that one here too?

I couldn't find any models for download there
You can´t, because there aren´t any. As the picture says it is still work in progress. I am doing work on that too, but it will take some time. Just wanted to show that there are people who care about that issue.

Ordered and paid!
Me too. And that money is so much more better invested in that cartridge than in much current pc games! More more more! :-)
-
You´re doing an amazing job! Keep on going.
-
Thanks! Just played Electro Maniac in the emulator and I really like it. Think I'll be loosing some time to this one.
Then be informed that the author still is working on the game to make it better. Especially the Level design will be worked over. If you have any ideas, suggestion etc.: Say it! It will be heard. :-)

Sounds great. PM sent.

Not from me. I still use MAC/65. A good macro library makes it a treat. I still get joy from the programming experience.
I just started learning Assembler and use Mac/65 too. I have it on a handmade cartridge. Together with SpartaDos 3.3 and the SIO2USBs RTC it works very fine for me.

You're right. What about to compare only productions from this century? (2000-2009)
Good Idea. Let´s talk about Animal Party.
Is something like that on the C64? And the most important point: Does it count over 20000 points? (I´m still waiting for a patch...)

Hello,
I do have an some original 1050 PSUs which say 9V - 27VA. If you want one, I can send one to you. I live in Germany, so the postage should not be too expensive. Should have known that earlier, I´ve been in Naples in June (Bagnoli).

Any chance for Mac OS X support? But so what, I think I´ll take one.

For me "LW" in first place means "LightWave" from NewTek, so I voted for "TLW". :-)

I finally got a cable to hook my drive up to my 800XL, but I can't figure out how to do it correctly. I turn on the drive, wait for the busy light to go out, and then insert a disk and secure it. I then turn on the computer, it plays a series of noises, and then either cuts to a black screen or stays on the BASIC screen with the cursor.
Do I just have bad disks or am I doing something wrong?
What happens if you press "Option" while you turn on the computer?
What happens if you type "DOS" at the BASIC screen?
What do you expect to be on the disk?

I think, the SIO2SD is the best way to get disk images from the Mac/PC to the Atari 8 Bit, but to get Atari Disks to the Mac/PC you better should watch out for something like 1050toPC (e.g. http://atari8warez.for-the.biz/build1050.html ) or SIO2PC.
I personally use a SIO2PC with SIO2OSX on my Mac and it works like a charm, nut needs an Serial-to-USB adaptor (because my Mac doesn´t have a serial connector).
So I just ordered that one: http://cgi.ebay.com/Atari-400-800-XL-SIO-2...id=p3286.c0.m14
Other people reported, that it works great, too. So you should go for that one in my humble opinion.
