  1. I have hundreds if not thousands of C64 ( 5 1/2" floppies ) and Amiga 500 ( 3 1/4" diskettes ) games...not many are original..got them so many years

ago, mostly from the BBS groups that were around in them days...

I may just hook them all up again....

Is there any interest in this kind of stuff ??

    Regards,

    Paulie ( GINNIDOG )

  2. As you may know, I recently made an announcement that Boulder Dash® may be headed for a Chirstmas 2008 release. The ball is in my court to overcome a few programming issues, but I'm not particularly worried about those.

So assuming there's a limited release of Boulder Dash® coming this Christmas 2008... let's say a massive 200 numbered copies and that's the end of the run. I'd like to see just how (pre)orders might stack up. Let's imagine a $60/cart price (this is NOT an official order list, well maybe, and most definitely NOT an official price). But assume, $60/cart.

Please post a reply with the #(s) you wish to "reserve". I'll update the list with your name beside the cart number. Then at some point in the future I'll announce that this IS the official preorder page (no money down, of course) and you'll get an option to buy those #s you selected before anyone else below you for each number. HOWEVER, if you decline any ONE of the #s you reserve, then you will get NONE of them; they will be offered to the 2nd/3rd etc. person who reserved a particular number. So, three people for example might reserve cartridge #26. They will all be recorded. Cart will be offered to the first person (who also placed an order for 10 other numbers). First person declines, then all 10 of his preorders are dumped. Second person on the list for cart 26 is then offered #26. He accepts, then that cart is tentatively assigned to him. HOWEVER (there's always one with me) if that person has also reserved other cart numbers then we have to wait and see how he/she fares as further offers go out. If that person "wins" cart 26, but declines an offer of cart 50 which comes about because the cart 50 person in front of him has been knocked out, then he/she is ALSO knocked out and no longer gets cart 26, or any other cart for that matter!

To put that simply, only order what you're prepared to actually buy. If you order more than you are willing to buy, you get none. You may order a particular number that's already been ordered, and you will be placed in line for that number. If you don't specify a cart number(s) then I'll assign your order to the least-wanted numbers. For any cart number, if those ahead of you default, then you will be offered that number. But remember, all or nothing!

You guys can have fun getting in early, then trading your position on the order list on the official AtariAge stock trading page.

PS: I do like the "all or nothing" ordering idea, above. But the real thing I'm trying to do is get your input on how many cartridges are realistically likely to sell "up front" with a $60 price tag. Be careful what you ask for, because I may very well apply the "all or nothing" rule :) It's in your best interests to keep your orders realistic.

  4. Okay, Since I am fairly new to the FORUM, but not the 2600...

I read much stuff here now..and see many .bin or .bas files, etc..

Also read about Stella and Emulators and such

I am totally lost with any of this stuff

What type of programs do i need on my Windows XP, to read these files, and also test them out on my PC ??

I read many comments from other users complimenting those who post these .bin files, from there work on some 2600 projects..

I am in the stone-age, when it comes to the 2600 computer lingo stuff...

So if someone has time to explain all of this stuff , please do so...............

    " I wish i knew 2600 programming"

    thanks in advance again,

    Paulie

  5. 1) Dont remember whom I got it from about 8-10 years ago...this is the first time i tested it.

    2) i`ll try to get a clearer photo of the cartridge

    3) i`ll also try to get a photo of the inside ( but I`m not taking it apart )

I played 4 levels of it so far..no problems..could it be 1 of the 125 in the world..I have no idea..but I`m keeping it..

Thanks for all the posts about this one.

    Paulie

  6. Good News,

I broke out my old VCR..managed to hook it a few different ways.. and now, I can proudly say, my 2600 works..

I even bought a Multi Component Video Selector, so I do have to hook and unhook any cables or wires..SWEET..

Now gonna spend a lot of time, testing out all my carts..including the hundreds of duplicates I have..I have much cleaning to

do on many of them..even though most of my Atari stuff was stored in big deep plastic KMart bins

    Ciao for now

    Paulie

  7. I`m totally lost as well.

I bought a Multi component video selector ( which i have to return ).. it doesnt have Coax in..just A/V & S-video in..

I called a few Radio Shacks and Circuit City`s near me, and none either did not have a Multi Component Video Selector

with AV and Coax in... or they didnt know what i was talking about..

I also have an old C64 monitor..how can i hook up the 2600 to it. .. ?? any/all help is greatly appreciated.

I`ll also look for my old VCR, and give that a try

    PAulie

  8. Okay, I got it to work ( turn on atleast ).. using an Atari 2600 Power supply ( 9V )

now, just to find a 2K or 4K Unimex cart..or maybe buy some Eprom boards ( and mount them into

many of my `common` carts ( removing the old board , and replacing them with these blank Eprom boards )

    Paulie

  9. I noticed the high price...

I was looking at about 35-50 range myself..i can wait it out..no big deal

    Paulie

PS.. I collect license plates, and belong to a well known group, and there are a few of these other plate

collectors, that are extremely high priced...so I know what to look for when it comes to license plates..

as far as 2600 stuff...I got out of it like 8 years ago, and had some good knowledge on games, but now that i got

back into it..i need to catch up again.

  10. Hey All,

As most know already the AA user "atari2600land" recently made a platformer game using Bb featuring the South Park dudes Terrance & Phillip. The game is "Asses Of Fire" and man is it addictive. I have been work-horsed to make the carts and handle everything for him (AKA I make the carts and send him a cheque for programing the code...lol..) There is only 13 of these carts avalible for sale at this point and this game is limited and numbered to 20 copies total. (a couple where reserved ahead of time).

Also in with the recent donations my nephew recieved was one from CPUWIZ of enough parts to make a cart release of a game centred around Isaiah. And here is "Isaiah's Wii Chase" a Bb homebrew oringinally by atari2600land. In the game you control Isaiah's Wheelchair as he navigates mazes to get to his new Nintendo Wii console to play at the end of each maze. Many thanks go to CPUWIZ for financing this release and for his idea of making a game based on him for the 2600 and his quest for a Wii. Money from "Isaiah's Wii Chase" is being used to buy Isaiah a new wheelchair ramp. This game is also limited with only 18 carts avalible for sale with a total of only 20 numbered copies being made (a couple where reserved ahead of time).

Attached here are BIN's of both games:

    Asses Of Fire $32 Shipped.

    Isaiah's Wii Chase $26 Shipped.

    Get both for $50 shipped.

Shipping outside of USA\CANADA will be $2 dollars extra. Fist come first served.

    Cheers,

    Shawn

    Shawn,

Would you happen to have ( 1 ) of each still left to sell to me ???

    thanks

    Paulie
