  1. I bought a Turtles in Time SNES repro/bootleg from AliExpress last year. It's pretty hard to tell it apart from a real copy.
  2. One of the Famicom exclusives I like is Layla, but it's a bit expensive. Usually around $40 or so loose.
  3. Last day of the Kickstarter, and the Super Gameboy stretch goal has been passed!
  4. This is the first Kickstarter that I've ever supported. I think this game looks great, so I thought I'd share it with everyone here. Link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/firstpressgames/tobu-tobu-girl-deluxe-for-gb-gbc
  5. Free Amazon/eBay credit for completing surveys. http://www.prizerebel.com/index.php?r=6337941

so that stuff's legit? I was always uneasy about it

  6. Tough call. The Famicom version is more accurate and technically better, but slightly harder than the arcade game. The NES version on the other hand has much better color choices and a better difficulty balance, but the enemy bases don't follow the background very well.
  7. I know this is an old thread, but it's great information. One thing to note is that the tip for many AC adapters: Genesis, SMS, TG16, etc is a 5.5x2.5mm barrel connector. This is useful to know when shopping online for replacements. Also, since I needed one recently, here are the specs for a PC Engine CDROM2 interface unit: DC 9v 1450 ma. 5.5x2.5mm barrel connector: center negative
  8. Fantasy Zone II is a little better than the first, so go with that one.
  9. The US & Euro versions have different box art. See here for a full comparison between the differences between the 2 games: http://www.digitpress.com/reviews/captainsilver.htm
  10. I have a question about graphics mode 2. As I understand it, you can have up to 3 different pattern tables, but can those patterns be placed anywhere on-screen, or are you limited to displaying patterns from those tables in their respective 1/3 of the screen? For example, if I wanted to make a card game that used different art for each card, could I just load all the card graphics into vram and then place the card anywhere on screen, or would I need to update vram every time the screen was updated?
  11. Currently playing with RFO Basic on my Android phone.
