  1. Hi, I'm selling off a few treasures from my collection so I can focus on other things I'd like to collect. Japanese SMS console with Outrun Woody Pop complete with Paddle Control Enduro Racer complete Solomon's Key complete Nazca 88 with box NES Retro World Championships 2015 cart. https://www.ebay.com/sch/reverendkeith/m.html?item=133207682253&ssPageName=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
  2. I fixed my Famicom's strange no audio issue after a few years. Sometimes when you'd turn it on, it was fine, and other times there was no sound. I tried everything: checked the voltages, continuity, replaced all the caps... It wasn't until recently when I pressed on the on/off switch a little while turning it on that I noticed the sound came back on when I applied pressure to the switch. So I cleaned the switch, put it back together and now it works flawlessly. I can only imagine that the issue was caused by the dirty switch providing just enough current to run the system but not enough to power the audio signal. Such a simple solution to a bizarre problem.
  3. I bought a Turtles in Time SNES repro/bootleg from AliExpress last year. It's pretty hard to tell it apart from a real copy.
  4. One of the Famicom exclusives I like is Layla, but it's a bit expensive. Usually around $40 or so loose.
  5. Last day of the Kickstarter, and the Super Gameboy stretch goal has been passed!
  6. This is the first Kickstarter that I've ever supported. I think this game looks great, so I thought I'd share it with everyone here. Link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/firstpressgames/tobu-tobu-girl-deluxe-for-gb-gbc
  7. Free Amazon/eBay credit for completing surveys. http://www.prizerebel.com/index.php?r=6337941

so that stuff's legit? I was always uneasy about it

  8. Tough call. The Famicom version is more accurate and technically better, but slightly harder than the arcade game. The NES version on the other hand has much better color choices and a better difficulty balance, but the enemy bases don't follow the background very well.
  9. I know this is an old thread, but it's great information. One thing to note is that the tip for many AC adapters: Genesis, SMS, TG16, etc is a 5.5x2.5mm barrel connector. This is useful to know when shopping online for replacements. Also, since I needed one recently, here are the specs for a PC Engine CDROM2 interface unit: DC 9v 1450 ma. 5.5x2.5mm barrel connector: center negative
  10. Fantasy Zone II is a little better than the first, so go with that one.
  11. The US & Euro versions have different box art. See here for a full comparison between the differences between the 2 games: http://www.digitpress.com/reviews/captainsilver.htm
