Tim, As usual I am late on my posts as I don't get here much , but just wanted to add my compliments to ALL those involved with the project. The game , packaging , manual , shipping ...... everything is First Class. Glad I was able to get in on the first 100 and give one as gift to my son also. The Old Guy
  3. Hello, I didn't realize we were going to get a confirmation.... should I be concerned that I did not ? do I need to send another email ? should I stop typing and adding question marks ? seriously , do I just wait as I have not received a confirmation. I just want to be sure the email got thru. Thanks, The Old Guy
  4. Let me add mine....email sent ! standard Looking foward to it, The Old Guy
  5. Thanks for the reply , I am hit and miss as far as coming on here , and would hate to miss it! I will keep checking . The Old Guy
  6. Too late for this batch... another one is coming. Ok , I am a complete moron ...so what do I need to do to get one of these ?...will there be a new post ?...want to make sure I get on the list to order. Thanks, The Old Guy
  7. Go to the first post in this thread and scroll down to the place where it says: When Can I Buy? Can I Preorder? Just another guy letting you know I am good for 1 maybe 2 of these myself whenever they are available. The Old Guy
  8. Well, that worked out nicely, eh? : ] The vendor right inside the door on the left is Collectors Cards and Games. I bought a ton of stuff from him @ TMG in Leesport and again he had the best spread of classic games at the show. I emailed him several days before Gamecore asking if he could bring Vectrex and C64 carts which he did. He was the only vendor there that had Vectrex and C64 and his spread is always fun to pick through. It's fun to pick up some terrible, el cheapo 2600 carts to flesh out the collection which I was able to do given the small dent in the want list. Yep, Bought some from him also and I agree , He did have a great selection. Although I have smaller collections of some of the other old systems , I kept it to 2600 stuff since we were also heading to a Casino to make a DEPOSIT later in the day. @#$%%^^%$#@#$#@ing Casino !!!! Actualy , didn't do all that bad. Had a Great Birthday. Happy to be in my late thirties .....Two Decades Late that is The Old Guy
  9. Figured I would add my 2 cents ! I made the trip in from Eastern Long Island , about 3 1/2 hours , with my Wife and Son. I for one thought it was great. As soon as you walked in , there was plenty of 2600 stuff to look thru both to the left and right.....and that's why (at least for me) I came. Sure it was loud , but look I am "THE OLD GUY" and I was able to survive it ! I picked up a copy of Shield Shifter , as well as several other loose carts I needed . I had a good time rummaging thru the boxes of carts , that to me is the fun part ! As for price , we ALL get or have gotten things cheap and at other times paid too much , its what we want at any given time. I bargained a little , even told someone forget your list , I have a list (too old to remember all these damn names)....just as big , so lets just deal ! I had fun looking around and so did my wife and son. , of course there will always be things we don't care about , but If every booth was just 2600 stuff , I would still be there looking !......I'm just glad there was no MAX AGE LIMIT to keep me out !!!! Oh yea , and since it was my Birthday , my family bought me all my NEW TREASURES ! The Old Guy
  10. A little late as usual on my post reply , but I will be there , Making the trip in from Long Island . You'll know it's me , 'cause I figure I'll be the OLDEST guy there !!! The Old Guy
  11. Hey, I have alot LESS technical knowledge than most of these guys here , maybe this is a simple one , if you are trying to input thru the Yellow RCA Video input on the TVs , it will never work. The (rf) signal from the Atari needs to go into the Antena input. The Old Guy
  12. A little (ok a lot) late but wanted to add a note. I did subscribe and always enjoyed getting it in the mail. Sure the internet is great , bla bla bla , but OLD Hobby/Game System info was great in an OLD Format ....PRINT that is. Just a quick note , the 2 sets Tim offers are put together very well and make a nice collection addition as well as being easy to store. The Old Guy
  13. The game is not available yet. The latest info is they are hoping to have it sometime in September. You can get the other issues from Russ Perry Jr. for #51 - #76 or Al Backiel for #77 and up at $2.00 each. This is listed in the Connection....not sure if it's okay for me to list the addresses and emails here ???? Guess I forgot to mention , both of there emails are on the web site , just click on their names. The old guy

  16. I do not know if it has already been mentioned , if it has , I appologize and I am sure people will swan dive down my throat to let me know, but the 2600 connection news letter just had it's 100th issue and this is also it's last. I am sure there are many opinions on it , but I for one hate to see anything "die" when it comes to the 2600 The old guy
  17. He is also contradicting himself: I would not trust this mental Could not resist...I'm watching ...can't wait for it to end and go up ....oh the waiting is killing me !!! just let me mark the date so I can check back in 6 months for an even Higher price ! Happy Happy Joy Joy !
  18. Thats good Dino,i am looking forward to seeing your collection Mine is not very good unfortunately. I would love to see pics of Marco's CPUWIZ's Wonder007's and Marc O's collections Of course I have to add my 2 cents , I think it's been said before but it's not just about bragging and showing off your collection , althought I am sure there are a few of those here just like everywhere !. I for one love to see all the stuff peoplle have and the the unique ways they are displayed. I thought this was what this place was all about ? A seperate place for just collections is an excellent idea and simply makes it easier to see what you want to see. And No it's not being lazy with the gallery , bla bla bla , some of us enjoy this collecting thing but also have REAL LIVES and other things to do ! I see that no matter what gets posted on any subject , there always has to be people that seem to forget it is a Hobby. Now I am sure I will get some real negative answers to this , and everyone is entitled to there opinion. Just remember this is suppose to be fun , informative , and a place to share info. And besides .... RESPECT YOUR ELDERS !!! I AM ALWAYS RIGHT !!!!! and before someone with nothing better to do checks my spelling and thinks that is the point , let me say Bite Me
  19. Agreed!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope people stop asking questions like this...... Well bull or not , come on we all know , and be honest , if you are like me , after a dry spell and you stumble on a cheap box of stuff you will buy ANYTHING 2600 !! even if you have 30 copies of most of the carts . And well you should buy it. You can always (here it comes) rationalize it one way or another. even better if there are a few items that are partialy buried/hidden and will require digging/cleaning/looking up etc...you know...might be one or two you don't have , maybe a label variation , maybe it's just so dam cheap you have to , you NEED that third Vader , it will kill hours untangling those 12 pairs of paddles even though we all hate changing to paddles to play .... and it beats the crap out of mowing the lawn ! , see you can always think of something . Hell it's 2600 stuff ....GOLD I TELL YOU , GOLD !!!! ... oh , sorry , guess I have to up the meds. The Old Guy
  20. OOOOPS ! Had no idea it was posted already, only on here since Nov 08. guess we'll call it an update Looks like they do have plans to expand the Video Game Section
  21. Here is a little more info on this from a small paper. Seems like it is a work in progress and may grow in the future. I just thought I would mention it The Old Guy
  22. Aha , like I said , just going by what I see online. Glad people who have been there are adding to this. I agree even from just limited online stuff it's geared towards the little ones. I don't know who the lone creepy adult would be? As for myself , as I stated in my posts , just thought others would be interested , in any reference to the 2600 and would make a stop if and when we happen to be in the area. I'm curious if they are expanding the Video game area as much as they seem to be saying? Thanks, The Old Guy
  23. It's silly to make people copy and paste when it's so easy to post a link here. I posted the links for you this time. No need to get your panties in a bunch. First of all You were the first to make the negative reply and more important I am correct and you are not ! Na Na Na Na Na .... obviously I am just kidding !!!!! please don't take this stuff to serious P.S. just one more thing , at MY AGE that would be MY BLOOMERS IN A BUNCH ! The Old Guy
  24. Thanks for the additional information. I was curious if anyone had heard of it or been there. My Niece and Nephew took there kids there and they loved the museum in general but are not realy into the Video Game Thing and I did not get any specifics. My niece remembered I collect for the 2600 and thats how I first heard of it. Then I was sent the online info by my brother and I was just going by the latest info on line. Thought I might check it out while in the general area this summer. Can I ask , when was the last time you were there ? Who knows , maybe it's expanded ? Hopefully it will , I like to see anything that pops up related to the 2600 ! Thanks again, The Old Guy
  25. Gee thanks , that was REALY important , now should I debate this ....yep , sure will...here you go ..... actualy they are the links if you type them or copy and paste them Notice I never said " click here " on the "links" tomatoe / tomotoe The old Guy
