Just try living without any other console before the N64 for at least for a year and I garentee you will change.
but don't automatically say new games are bad and people that move on have bad taste.The thing is with 3d the market is bottle-necked with games that would normally fail in 2d. Meaning 75% ( just assuming ) of the games that we play in 3d will most likely fail if it was ever on a 2d scale. Take Beyond Good and Evil that is really really good, but if it was on a 2d scale will it be like.
A. Zelda
B. Super Star Wars.
C. Lost Vikings.
D. A Lucas Arts game
E. Adventure Island
F. Prince of Persia.
and the list goes on. In general you go out there to play something fun only to come home with something that was never worth it. A great example is StarFox and Virtua Racer. They are both in 3d but at the same time could they both be in 3d? Virtua Racer would just be a anoher racer and Star Fox would be a toned down Space Harrier???
we have less options these days is beyond meWell if everybody kept on saying there ideas then all the game people out there would just be giving you something you wished for. That is like getting candy from the dentist just the fact that you asked for candy instead of a baseball card, or bubble gum. Therefore you are killing the suprise.
Also sometimes it fails as with Bionic Commando. I mean they made a website for fan people to type stuff about and did they answered? They gave little surveys but do they really care? I mean look at the main character. He is the same dyed haird hero from the original game with a whole new attitude? They give him dog tags, and all this junk but yet they make him around in barely nothing. Then they showed another image of a simular character but with dreads
Oh and they made the arm able to move like tentacle. Hey guess what most of Biomic Commando fans don't even own a 360 
and will not buya 360 just for something that already has been abused enough. I mean look at that detail. They even went as far to give them seperated identity. I don't want to touch that Bionic Commando at all. However the sad part is kids will touch it and will not think differ. Then grow up without barely any inspiration and let it die. Then maybe oh just maybe the previous Bionic Commando games will be unlockable and parent will run up and say "Oohhheee Bionic Commando let me play" then the little punk offspring will say "ewhhh this is old". Then Bionic Commando finally dies along with Indian and all the rest of the series that is still pure.
It is like the song TV Killed the Radio Star. TV never killed the Radio Star. TV was brand new and was just radio with images while radio was and is still here. As with 3d never took out 2d...people just made less 2d games then 3d games and sooner or later all people ever whinned about was 3d. However you know what..people got smart, the consumers got smart. We got tired of going to the store and picking up piss to play, we got tired of throwing $50 out the window on a new game that was not even worth it to begin with, got tired of watching those rice eaters taking our money at ever end like a pigeon being plucked to death, and we got tired of buying a new system when the previous one, and so on could have been around for many more years to come.

The new bomberman or any other games I want to try out? Well I am not going to have a 360 in my home, and I know I will find more joy in a 2d game that I never even played once in my life and is probably a year or two older then me.
Why I am so bored? well I have played many many games to the point where I know the best ( in my own judgement ) and when I see something that obviously trying to look good I go for it. Then again I get so tired of seeing another 3d figure model no differnt then the one I see in a classroom but I am restricted to gameplay that is given
3d is boring. 2d wrocks the party, 3d was better off staying the way it looked on the Saturn ( and whatever ). 2d games is real games. The whole soul dream of a videogame maker is to match the qaulity of a animation. Then again we threwed our animation out the window and dubbed the Rice eaters animation. Then they flew over here, made nests, and eat more rice.
While we danced on our VCR's and said " 3d is wonderful, 3d is the future, 3d is everything, 3d is better, we need 3d.
If there is any problem. People are still using that outside the box bit routine. People are still making games the same way they did during the 90's and the same way during the 70's. We are just seeing a flood of assumed guesses of what our own nation has to offer. A nation that know what good creamy dreamy oh so screamy gaming is buy instead we are getting bad, hard, and offsetting expriences that leaves us with the question. Why are we still day dreaming of something that will never be. Videogames from the west that will outright the east.
I was just in for the artistic value. That is the truth, and deep down inside part of you is also saying something like that. Where is the creative gameplay, the levels of randomness, and feats of decidants. That you turn on something with millions of misplaced vioces whining about programmig, and all these features that no real game person ( unless your a PC guy ) would care about.
I mean just look what they did to bomberman, and where is my BG&E trillogy. Just look at bomberman, he was happy in little white suit but somebody decided to make him go all bdsm but leave the same gameplay. For the of gosh they a character a chain. I mean this is not Battle Royal it is Bomber men for crying out loud. They live on Planet Bomber which is earth and there is mister meanie, devil bomber, and that skull guy. Not a all out death match.
Look all I'm saying is that you tell everyone here video games today are lame and we are all just settling because we have no choices, and video games when you were younger were perfect and you had a million choices is like a old fart saying things were better when he was a kid. Everyone knows one or two guys like that. No-one knows where they come from. Now we all know where one came from.Nope games were just good and now they are not. It is like the new television nobody cares about it but people still thinks they need it. Then again I am a continuing adult, and I have special powers that children don't have. The power to inlist others like myself, the power to make what I say true, The power to do what I dream and know what I am doing. Also the young adults of today don't know what we are doing but the truth is they don't have what we have.

What they do today is a complete joke. They listen to music made by people saving there virginity, they drink purple, red, yello salt water called vitamin water, they watch Highschool musical and thinks it has anything to do with them and that it is collectable. It is like the Goth people and Rockers all turned into Emos and Vampires high on Japanese Comics. The thing hey some us are just as young and can still fool the young adults like taking candy from a baby. For we are the youths who admired our parents and followed them, we admire them to the point of becoming them and will continue to do so.
However we aren't dead yet but we are not old yet ( at least I am not ). Hell yeah I plan to be around for another ten thousand years and another. I have a head on my shoulders and all I need is the juice to make it all work out. So if there is any enemy of creativity as long as I know what I know there is nothing stoping me but laziness from defeating the uncreativity works.
Also when I was younger along with many people we had many choices but we never knew it. So most people took he same path. Meaning most people knows what is good and will tell there grand children what is good and so on. People make it there business to know what is good from what is bad as with anything else. It is the gift of knowledge real knowledge that allows creativity to shine threw.
That's it. You can argue that all of us aren't really being entertained and we don't really know what makes us happy,The thing we are smart and know the differnce but like you said there has to be stupid people in order for the happiness to continue. Right? There has to be a couple of pigeons out there to eat the bad bread to keep the bread dropper dropping bread Right? I salute the Homer Simpson shoppers who don't really understand what they are buying just to get a little ticklish feeling under there skin.

The commendore looks normal for the US market but I know there was many people playing a C64 with Streetfighter during the SNES days.

EGM was a good magazine while there was anything to talk about. During the 1990's when we had real videogames
instead of these abominations that people try to enjoy today. I remember these magazines and feelings it gave me, a feeling that I am trying to get back.
There is no respect for videogames in the western world and whatever occurs was like a joke. Still to even make a community was even harder to do but nowadays there is not even a community a all. I mean we evolved into a voice that is not even heard by it's own community, and more important it's consumers. Where do you go and why do go when 75% of the community is not even holding down a job and stuck to there television screens like zombies. Then there is the people who do not know how to approach videogames like the parents think they will grow out of it, and the bigots who back sas everything without understanding. Lets also not forget the conventions which is like a pride parade just to let everybody know that we still are around but all in the favor of reaching consumers.
However yes death to neo EGM is one I could agree on. Looking back on articles from before that was so mediocore was way better written then todays heartless monstrocities. The layout feels like Game Informer, and everytime you open the pages you ask yourself is this a videogame magazine or a PC magazine?
Maybe we can find refuge in other magazine but yet again I have internet. However who keeps a videogame magazine on a coffe table.

I have beeen to one of them and to be honest they have barely nothing in Videogames. It is the same cheap video store setup along with coconuts they could all go sniff there buttz for all I care. Like somebody said they are over priced. On that note

Well various SG-3000 games was also made for the SG-1000. Thus meaning you would differnt gaphics when you would pop the game into the systems ( including the SG-2000 ). However since your using a emulator ( which is not perfect obviously ) the programmer probably never thought about the graphics conversions. There is also other features added like speed up, slo-mo when using etc system.
Also since that other console that is practically a SG-1000 clone games played in a Mark-III there will be pallete differnces. Take Donkey Kong jr. for example.
In short SG-1000 games was not made for the SG-3000 and emulators based on the Mark-III might give differnt graphics when playing a non Mark-III game on the emulator. It is the same case with various Game Gear games in general.

Well I understand what you mean from my exprience with the Gamecube stick. Especially how you have the C-buttons on on stick. However I have never heard anything about malfunctioning N64 sticks. Basically all you gotta do have the controller not faced down on the stick.
The only bad thing I could say for the controller is the darn Memory packs. My original controller still works like new but the memory pack is cracking and will take rumble but not the memory.
I am shocked that somebody's stick has gone broken or whatever for the N64. The Gamecube stick is even worst. Playing games like Resident Evil pushing the stick harder then I have to thinking the walking speed will increase to games that use the function.
I also use the PSX controller thing ( which apparently availible fo rever console ever contructed so far. ). However the keys are reversed on the left hand side. What is funny is how the rumble still works even for non rumble systems.

you have got to be kidding. The answer is if the jaguar can do it so could the SNES and genesis could do it.
The game looks portable but I would rather leave that alone to the higher up systems.

programmers having a difficult timeLike who? cry babies who went to college and studied the material given or people who opened a book and programed from the ground up?
Remember the motto of the west is that we are is a fast place and people are changing constantly. The truth is these machines reflected Japanese programmers and what they were studying. Meaning we need to shift our studies to there views on programming while maintaining our own.
Picking up these games and losing interest in the first few minutes would be like playing defender and losing interest. I still love Night Trap, Final Fantasy VII, Shining Force, Sonic the Hedgehog and many more. Just because i went through them 3 or 4 times doesn't mean i get tired of them. I beleive part of being a gamer means being able to play any game you want no matter how old it is and still be interested. I don't get tired of things just because they're not new. Hell, i still play Super Mario Bros. 1 and 3. Never cared for 2 tho.Now this person has a head there shoulders. They admit there is games that is fun but have no reason to hold there intrest but at the same time wants to play them over and over again. Let me try and disect why you would want to play over and over again.
defender- mini game arcade game. Has high playablity dew to simplicity. Intrest depends on player and structure content.
Night Trap- comic adventure game action. High playabilty dew to various outcomes. However it takes alot of time to get things done right making it work.
Final Fantasy VII- Low replayability dew to rest of game being in a waste land. High only for content like movie or story board. The first disc is the most funniest part. The rest is Japanese Present day, metropolis, disaster spew.
Shining Force- high dew to rich content. Low dew to reptitive actions. Meaning once you beat it, it is over and done with. However lastability will shine threw depending on bordem.
Sonic the Hedgehog- extremly high dew to bright colors, nice music, and reasonable movement of Sonic. However can get annoying if you don't like dying.
I'd expect a comment like that if i said i liked games like Silhouette Mirage. Thers a difference between Card Captor Sakura and Final Fantasy. There's anime, then there's the kiddie shitOkay SM is on representation and the fact they are robots. It is a stand alone videogame series and has nothing to do with Manga or whatever. It is game art. Quickly drawn and made for the moment. If you don't like Power Ranger then don't play this game.
Card Capture is no where near final Fantasy at all. It is a manga with various gaidens, and commercial releases. There is even a official card game for it.
Final Fantasy is from Japan and you will expect the Artstyle to be that of Japanese insight. Also Armaro is no longer making art for Sqaure and the people who replaced him will obviously be commercial Japanese artists. The same for the artist of Castlevania.
I hate games with that irritating anime style (stupid hair, huge eyes, flapping monkey mouths, and overblown primitive drama that only 10 year olds, gay guys, and pro wrestling fans could love),Anime is just a western term for Japanese Animation. When they say it they just say Animation in there own words. The Japanese have moon lite eyes as with many Asians including Indian related cultures. They also call themselves monkies. They are wild "animals". Yes drama is key to success in fiction. Asides everything you said yes drama is regular actions on a Universal level. Also the commercialism of the west prevents people like you from enjoying Anime unless you can point to certain books. You can't use one voice to speak for all.

It's because SONY just wants to appeal to the casual/"gangsta" gamer who only cares about FPS and sports titles. It's sad really. What series is causual/gangsta. By that I could only mean commercial videogames that point to rap influence that old people think is what children are listen to. Personally nowadays the fricken young adults are listening to Highschool musical and whatever bothers with poofy hair. So you have to be more detailed.
Yes alot of people like sports titles that comes and leaves. However if I am correct alot of people here also collect sports titles.
The only reason the PS2 has so many commercial titles is the PS2 is the current popular and most cheapest to afford. Remember part of young adult is looking mature that what is mature.

High definition is just RGB. That is all. About self promotion that is up to the people making the game. There is all kinds of self promotion.

regular 16-32 bit game system have controllers of the same related design.

You know what kisrael I give up. You want to believe tha mumbo jumbo about false promises, and hope that has nothing to do with you asides being a consumer then you go ahead and be happy pappy consumer. And then the next time when they start using words like proactive, and Dynomite we all will give praise to it again buying something that is a spare for the moment without accuracy for longtivity use.

Your not alone.
Lemmings basically a DOS program will either use the built in speaker ( the one that makes the telephone noise when you use AOL ) or your PC sound card. Basically all, if not most DOS programs uses AWE Sound Blaster card, and speaker setups ( somebody please expand on this ). There is a varity of simular cards and Lemmings ( if I remember ) should have built in settings for this. Meaning you could program lemmings to use special settings for your sound card also.
In short you can never run lemmings on a XP machine that is not properly setup with it's sound card. You can never hear the sound if the built in DOS emulator does not know what sound card you are using.
So here is a long shot. Maybe you can get sound but since it is built on NT/ME/2000 technology the sound will dissapear after awhile. This is what occured with my ME machine and when I was using a computer that had differnt DMA settings then the one
that DOS was specified for.
Okay here it is from the get go. Windows XP and it's command is not DOS. It only mimics DOS. Remember 98 is built on DOS so various if not all DOS games will run on 98.
I suggesting searching the MSFN forums for help also. They are the place to go for PC problems with DOS sound in XP.
I am lucky to have a dedicated DOS machine on the side in case I want to mess around with DOS games.

How is a tv toy related to a videogame system.A Tv toy is any toy that you play with a television. Like a videogame unit made special. This is what Nintendo advertised the earlier products for.

Well, yes there is. You might argue there is no meaning to this term, but there certainly is a term.Nope it was just a cool term to use at the time. Hell the only real use of it was Star Treck: The Next Generation. Which made more sense and was a completely differnt show from the last. So if there is a term then it is the one I just mentioned. However that term is not used in Videogames at all.
they are not the "exact product"It is too. I have more fun with Sonic on the Genesis then the Dreamcast. The only bid differnce is the uneeded cut scenes. Then what up the next game. More uneeded cut scenes and then there is the Shadow, Future, God ring bit. I could go on forever with this. The point is there is no Next Generation. A game machine is no differnt from the last Game machine. I am playing a PCE just like a Saturn.
They even call the Wii controllers "Wii-motes"!Nintendo just trying to find another reason to buy there product. There was many game systems with controllers like that in the past. Even the PS2 and X-box has controllers that is practically TV controllers.

Resident Evil 4 on the PS2 don't count. All the live action scenes is really FMV, the gas effect is faked in various places, there is a bloody loading screen during the truck chase scene. If this was on the N64 then there would be no loading screens, and they would probably do the gas effect also.

why am I asking when the majority of the country is going to vote YES: lets screw over the artwork with another ugly sign on the cover. I mean the PSX original CD cases was okay but the boxes just makes it look ugly. I look at my Super Mario Land 2

We keep around tobbaco since people are just as addicted to it like Opium in China. It seems you have to be tall, black, and buff to get any respect from anybody if not then old, handicaped, or born. Women ( I mean real women ) have children with morons while others is enslaved by rules from old country ( I mean those taboo images is from your own backyard ).
So when do you dress up like Indians and high jack all deliveries of videogames?
I mean it. Lets just burn down every videogame factory right now in the west. Nobody takes our media format seriously and it would be better if we all went back to being like Europeans who is stuck in the 1960's. There is just no creativity in this country.

I have finished the games, but can not!!!!!!!!, get used to the movement scheme. Resident Evil 4 is more my style.You mean splinter cell? This is the only game by far that uses that over the shoulder look scheme. Also Resident Evil had no camera angles in the US version at least.

Anyhow there is nothing related to the game RE4 and those asides the terrorist bit from 2004 at the time. I mean dagit where did the years gone. Removing colors
Shrinking each individual frame
having a separate program run the video
alternating sounds with mods or alike sounds
Dragon Slayer sounds cool but what about that other FMV game. The one where the guy loses his muscles, where he's in space fighting to get back his "man hood"
If that ever releases. I will be there to enjoy as long as it is a single cart
You will make heads roll if you could get it to look like the Sega CD animation from the get go.
