  1. same here... oh wait, I 'google' it just messing around
  2. I knew the love going around in this thread will not last. I saw his one word post, but I choose to bite my lip instead of saying anything... oh well... another thread down the tubes.
  3. abandonware I remember playing Stunts in my 286 back in the day. Another great game is The Need for Speed, I used to play a lot of it too (after we upgraded to a wooping 486SX)
  4. Bart Simpson vs. the Space Mutants. I've been playing it since 1992 or so
  5. I have never posted anything in the wanted section, but I sold a bunch of stuff too big to ship.
  6. Anyone?? it would let you transform your 2600 into a home computer, but with the 8bit computer market, it didn't have a lot of success. Never seen one myself. Gus
  7. I used to play a lot of games in my PC all thru the 90's. I got tired of having to upgrade my PC every time a new Quake came out, so I gave up. I still play old Microprose games and sorted abandonware.
  8. Alien, I like the Directors Cut edition, Aliens just plain rocks, the third one was kinda weird IMO, and Alien resurrection was ok.
  9. Apone and Vazquez all the way! Apone was a real sergeant in the us military btw I'd love to see this made, I'm a big fan of the first two Alien movies
  10. Good points, and I agree that we don't need more animosity, thanks Al.
  11. In another board I participate (sailing) we can give grog (thumbs up if they post something usefull) or lashes (thumbs down if they post garbage) to users, it would be too hard to add to Atariage?
  12. LOL That about sums it up! Apparently a bunch of sellers are so pissed off at having to pay some extra pocket change to sell stuff on Ebay they are boycotting Ebay for a few days. Ya...good idea. Protest making less money by not selling anything at all. @ Crazy Climber....the strike won't affect anything. I mentioned in the other thread about the strike, it will have as much impact on Ebay as the so-called 1 day don't buy gas strikes have on the oil companies. Maybe about 0.0000000001% I get what you are saying, I am just a little worried since a lot of people from here seem to bid on my stuff. True, but only sellers care about the new policies. In fact, for buyers, the new feedback thing is the best thing Ebay has done in years. And as to the fee increases, sure it will affect them in that the prices of items will go up, but ultimately smart people know that EVERYTHING has gone up due to inflation. In reality, you'd be smart to run MORE stuff during the strike. You'll have the same amount of buyers, (since they're not the ones striking) and (supposedly) less sellers. So ultimately you'll have a better chance of stuff selling for more. No, I just know how things work, and when a company raises its rates because of inflation, having a strike will accomplish nothing. Is anyone striking against the post office who just raised their rates? No? Why not? Oh that's right because it's stupid and juvenile and won't accomplish anything. I don't like that ebay raises their rates any more than the phone company, or my favorite restaurant, or the place that dry cleans my work clothes. So no I don't own Ebay stock, I'm just not having a 4 year old type temper tantrum over this either. ok.... you are right.

  14. It could be simple enough to the point that instead of 'sniping' (that'll create a huge demand on the server) a seller can accept offers for an item, then at the end, the seller will decide who gets the item. Also it'll be small enough, to the point that if a seller is ripping people off with shipping can loose its selling privileges , things of that nature, like I said before, I rather give Al a commission than helping eBay to get bigger and more impersonal.
  15. I think it'll be a good idea, look how much stuff users list in the marketplace-auction forums, why can't we auction our stuff in here (I much rather pay Al a commission) than keep on feeding eBay?
  16. I don't think I'm the only one waiting for Atariage Auctions, why keep feeding the eBay beast?
  17. Is a good thing, eBay has been around for too long, and it is time it goes belly up once and for all.

    my atari broke?

Don't do that, use a voltmeter (they cost like 10 bucks at Radio Shack) If you get static (white noise) could be something wrong with the console, but it might be a bad switch box, as I posted earlier, an F connector is the way to go IMO. Gus
  19. Get one of those F connectors that Albert sells in the Atariage store, they give a much better picture than the switch box, but if you are handy with a soldering iron and electronics, an A/V mode will do it for you Gus
  20. That sucks, I remember a jerk in the flea market, one of those that had a semipermanent store inside the place, had a bunch of 2600 in the back shelf, and when I wanted to buy one, he told me 'not for sale, I have a guy that sells them on eBay' I haven't set a foot in that place, by the way, I haven't gone thirfting in over two years now.
  21. Aspartame is poisonous, especially when warmed up.I saw in the news, cases of diet soda, were sent to Afgahnistan for the soldiers, were left too long in the hot sun,but not to long too for the cans to burst, resulted in sick soldiers.Aspartame when heated turns into Formaldyhyde, the same stuff they embalm dead people with. And yes diet pop eats away at your bones also. When I was over there we drank Coke (i think it was made in Qatar), it was great! Not as funny tasting, super sweet as the American version (but still had a kick on it) Pepsi sucks by the way.
  22. I have all the Ace Combat fighter, great flight simulators. Also Hitman its great. Of course, GTA, Vice City and San Andreas. There's a lot of good PS/2 games, and in part, I'm glad the PS/2 scene is not dead yet.
  23. They are wrong. I've ripped my entire CD collection using WMP. Just save the file as an MP3 with the quality set to it's highest. Works like a charm. So the Zune does sync with WMP to transfer files? From Wikipedia "Although the Zune software was originally a modified version of Windows Media Player, the Zune device was designed to only work with the Zune software. Zune software requires Windows XP or Vista, but can run on other versions of Windows with minor modifications." Another review... "But don't expect to use Zune with Windows Media Player 11. I double-checked on this yesterday, and a Microsoft representative confirmed that the new program isn't designed to work with the Zune device. WMP 11 also doesn't include the Zune Marketplace. That's in keeping with Microsoft's separation of its new portable media player from the existing PlaysForSure devices and services."
