I can't poop. Not because I'm constipated but because they're working on our sewers. Again.

Google isn't a search engine in the typical sense anymore, it is a tool to filter away free items in lieu of purchasable items and what was common information as something you also have to pay for, it directs you to the highest paying suggested sites and information that serves it's ambitions and the agendas that drive certain ideologies. Most other platforms have been swallowed up and do the same, often relying on each other to cram more of the same your way.
The only primary useful tools I found are sitesearch and imagesearch options of google these days. Don't you love having to dig 35 pages deep to find free and useful links that most of the pay sight got their information from in the first place. Those start getting so little or few hits they eventually disappear. Self fulfilling model to increase revenue and make anything not liked or generally inexpensive, useful, or free disappear.

Why, Back in My day...We bought a box of cereal. Now ya have to buy a "Family Size" box of cereal. We bought paper plates. Now you have to buy Heavy Duty paper plates, unless you want your food falling on the floor. On Halloween they gave out candy...Now it's Fun Sized candy, (not very fun if ya ask me)...And you could buy a bag of chips, now it's a Party Sized bag of Lightly Salted chips, lest ya get 6% Sodium and it tastes like a pile of salt...OK That's good fer now. I'll ponder less kleenex in the box next time, besides I have to go yell at some clouds...And maybe, if I have time reflect on how I think only the first 60 seconds or so of Revenge of the Sith feels like Star Wars to me. I mean seriously, Jedi arguing about whether or not they should fire their weapons... in a war? I wanted to crawl though the screen and bitch slap both of'em!

Friendly reminder that licensed music is why the Psygnosis-era Wipeout games haven't been re-released on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Store. I'm talking about the DOS/Windows 95 ports, by the way. (Ditto for Wipeout 64.)

A tale of two VDSLs: one bonded, one not. The not bonded has a bad modem, built into a firewall, the configuration of which is not compatible with its replacement so a ton of manual copying has to occur. The second line of the bonded has gone shitty, but a tech will be out tomorrow.
In the meantime, instead of glorious 80/10 (load balanced,) I am at 22/1.2. Oh, the humanity!!

So I did a crossword puzzle. The clue was "At sixes and sevens." The answer was "all over the map." What does that mean? I know what all over the map means, but not in context to the clue.

شش پنج, “He says five but he means six”), and in Arabic (يضرب أخماساً لأسداس, which means “He shows fifths for sixths” shows a chaotic person, weather due to confusion or by design.
Job 5:19 in the King James Bible, 1611: “He shall deliver three in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.” Great danger and risk and when won nothing will touch you.
In the language of dicing games the phrase was originally to set (all) on six and seven. It denoted the hazard or risk of one’s whole fortune, or a carelessness as to the consequences of one’s actions. From this association with reckless behaviour comes the idea that things in disorder and high risk were at sixes and sevens.
to set (all) on seven as a phrase was also originally used with reference to the throwing of a 'main' in the game of hazard, a game at dice. The rules of which you can read online.
There is an Arthurian reference about going into battle using similar phrasing as well, it was alluding racing into battle and other desperate ventures.
To set all on six and seven, or to set all on cinque and sice (to rhyme with dice) , to set all on seven were mostly and probably independent phrases. They all implied abandon to chance, high risk, danger, a desperate venture with the odds not being in ones favor. This was chaotic (chance)
When simplistic puzzles use it like the paper did, they leave a lot out and a great deal to be desired. When given the options 'all over the map' is about as good a choice as you were going to get.
