  1. The firmware is not reading/providing the xf format properly, remember the XF DS DD reads from the outside edge all the way in then switches to the other head and reads from the inside edge all the way back out.... ever notice certain XF disks require the computer to be reset or turned on again after the first boot attempt.... boot block density switched so on second try xf reads and boots properly(using dsdd sparta boot disk with high speed on) APE has a specific XF/XE compatability toggle to deal with XF / DOS XE quirks... Try setting the compatability mode then creating a blank atr with ape then using DOS XE to initialize/format/image that disk.... also remember DOS XE has a config menu to set up all kinds of things give those settings a once over and save... then try that image on the sio to sd card.... Let us know the results... on a side note maybe try a SS DD DOS XE image... as well Have you tried a quad format as well, maybe it's not making a proper length atr file for 360k or larger disks?

  4. where is the emkay pokeytized green beret download link?
  5. all of my monitors and televisions and showed the entire screen. All were adjusted to keep the aspect ratio correct. only certain tv channels would have have a little garbage at the top due to encoder by the station for data embedded in the video frame. This made me the favorite place for my friends to watch all their movies, recordings, video games and tv shows at. You would not believe the amount of wasted screen on many of the tubes back then.... They purposely ballooned the screens 'just in case' power dipped low and the screen 'might shrink'... A well adjusted.. properly converged screen was always a must! Anything that could not handle it left immediately! This rule held all the way up until we no longer had a choice with lcd, led flat screens that cut stuff off how they see fit... not cool at all... hating on my samsung hating on my samsung!

  7. Not only looks better, but has a nice space saving way of doing it! Good choice! The method seems closely related to what some of the very early web cams used.
  8. I remember testing about on this a few years back, but we had the Atari running part of it and then the pc running the other part.. The Atari is doing all of the work now?? how cool! Glad to see it is moving forward and much better in function as well.. Great Job! side question. Is it still going to function via slip... siotopc... or possibly lantronix uds..... or is it going to be dragon only?

  17. Thanks for the kind words, hopefully there will be many more 'good days' than bad... money time and life are conspiring against this but I have to believe it's going to turn around and get better. Food choices are tough, but surprisingly better than expected. It's probably tougher some ways on the family than it is on me at this point, no way they can understand. It will take time... I just need the energy. Thanks for the prayers good thoughts anything that you do, It all has to help.... mind over matter... sheer will. If it's positive it's got to be helping! Hope to get back to doing something constructive! -J

  20. That might not mean a thing many ntsc things play fine in pal just not normally the other way around. Often the box and scans and papers are not from the actual version uploaded either. It is usually the best documentation that could be found at the time....
  21. Finally a cas image that works every time. Thanks again fun creative game!
  22. You have the english version? Same front and back? If so can you make a quality wave to be converted by someone here? We would be overjoyed at seeing whatever you might still have from it!

  24. fuzzy, false, weak, bad sectors, phantom sectors, bad sector links, hidden allocation tables, custom loaders that follow link embedded in the sector, timing comparison protection..... and so on and so on and so on....
  25. OMG, yes it did exist... the narration played while the tape loaded... Damn fine game.... took a while to load but the narration and sound made it much more bearable once you heard it a couple of times you could use it by listening for the sound to end and could come back to the now ready to play game.
