It is not a very valid excuse to hide behind insurance as a reason to charge triple the price of your competitors, others in the USA dont charge one third your prices - I was going to buy one of your $20 CD's but when I found you wanted $18 to send it I decided to go without.
I cant get postal insurance to USA either cos so much stuff gets stolen in the US postal system, but I just sent a £16 ($24) Russian helmet to California on recorded delivery - it was good enough for me to continue trading with the usa without fleecing my customers, you know how much that cost for a steel helmet - a lot lot lot heavier than a CD jewel case - just $11.50 recorded delivery, It still dont wash sorry!

That is not strictly true - up to 3lbs can be sent to the UK small packet international rate for less than $7 according to USPS own web site, so I dont see how charging $18 for a single CD jewel case to england when all others charge $4 or $5 can be justified, I would like to see a breakdown of you costs. It is not me charging $18. but the Post Office.Gusbucket13

If the more talented among us can make optical rotary controllers for Tempest surely it might also be possible to make an adaptor for a mouse connector? so Syndicate could be played with a mouse the way that most people seem to prefer?
Just a thought?

I would just like to add the UK Supplier Cricklewood Electronics has put their price up to £22 per unit PLUS £3 P&P PLUS VAT at 17.5% so now the units are in excess of £25 each (Over $37)
The link given for US units seems great till you read they only supply in lots of 100 pcs whilst thats probably an OK number for the big guns it rather leaves the small guy just wanting to have a bash at his one unit - a bit out in the cold!
How about getting a load in T Bird and flogging them on at a modest profit to those that need them in smaller quantities? I would take 3 for starters if you could do them for less than the UK price inclusive of shipping!
Cheers

Greetings
I am based in the UK and am doing some tinkering work on the Atari Jaguar system, which may well bear serious fruit however I need a CoJag procesor board - ie an area 51 game mainboard, it does not have to be working but the board should be complete and populated. I gather Maximum force used the same board with a larger hard drive, so one of those would do equally well. I do not ned the HDD unit though it would be nice if one were available, I am not looking for a gift I am willing to pay, just not through the nose! Can anyone help please
Thanks for taking the time to read this

I forgot how good it feels... BUT NOW I'VE GOT THE FEELING!

I was told I couldnt do a joystick conversion either but I did it for Blue Lightning, I think a lot of people are ignoring the chance of fooling the system rather that trying to work with it. Its only a guess - I'm no program writer, now Im working on a mouse conversion - the basis of some tempest rotary controllers, only trial and error will tell if it will work in reverse.
I'm still working for Atari
