Anyone from this group, or the PC4 group going to CGE this year? I had such a great time. Like Z28 and his better half, this was also my first convention. Everyone went way out of their way to make everyone feel comfortable there, reguardless of how new or not they were to the convention scene.
Hey Dave, can you do something like a PC 4.5 to hold us over 'till next year???
-
It's newbies like that who keep us sellers going right???
-
Tell you what...that Stunt Cycle is pretty good. It's quite addicting.
That game was done back in 1980. I sure wish it was released back then. I really like it. There were a bunch of them left at the end of the show so they should be available thru atari2600.com if anyone is interested.

What was this dude doing again?

A heart felt thanks to the friendly atmosphere that the fellow Atari community has put forth at PhillyClassic. Fro ma shy guy, you are all a good bunch of friendly people...even you too Stan. Sorry I had to whup up on you in Stunt Cycle...
Where's my award my friend?
-
Did you question the guy or should I?
-
Nothing wrong here at all, since you posted the specs on the box on top of the fact it was posted that shipping cost $20.
People like this should just be shot. Sorry, but they should.
Out of curiousity, how many feedbacks does this ass have? What has he shipped that has been that heavy for less money? Any more, I almost always ship media mail to avoid these problems. I have had dumb crap like this happen before and if they bitch about media mail rate, then they shouldn't be Ebaying at all.
-
Whose blood Stan, yours?
-
Sorry CPU man. Had to throw a barb in there for the hell of it.
(Side note - CPU man has to be the best person I've dealt with on AA as well as Ebay)
-
I like that one.
Now all those bogus auctions that CPUWIZ pushes and I fell victim to buying I can actually lave him negative feedback for. He always leaves retallitory negative feedback...

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and there is a link for reporting.

Maybe Imissed something, which is very possible, but I thought Xot said he was bailin before 'Mania started? Anyway I'm sure we will figure out somethingIndeed. Any word on local bars in or near the convention center and hotels that would have it yet? My wife brought up a good point - if Wrestlemania starts at 8 EST, it probably won't be over until after 11 EST and I'm sure more of us than just her and I will have a flight to catch the next morning; which means it's at least easier if we're close to home base to get 40 winks at our hotel rooms but doesn't strictly rule out the small basement scenario.

Hey, if the crew doesn't mind, there's a Hooters not too far away from the convention that is showing the PPV. They usually do a decent business during these PPVs'.
It also looks like the PPV won't be over until midnight, or the usual 11:40.

UPDATE!
Guess what came in the mail today?
Yes, you got it, my controillers. They were mailed Priority mail, so my guess is that they were mailed no earlier than this past Monday or Tuesday.
I do have to say the seller did live up to his bargain, but three months late. I wonder if that would have happened if things weren't brought to light here?
Thanks Mercury.

I get that too. As a seller, like you, I believe that when a buyer pays you, it's jor job to leave the feedback right away. He's done his job, post feedback.
I find it upsetting that when a buyer receives the item and has already have positive feedback left for him, but does not leave it for you.
I generally "nudge" the buyer by sending an email like "Hey, did you receive it" or "Hey, are you satisfied" and both are followed up with the statement like please leave positive feedback and a link to the auction. That way, they have minimal work to do to leave you feedback.
I tend to get good results with this.

Rip people off, huh?
WTF is accepting $26 for an item and never shipping it? Get off your moral soap box man. You don't respond to emails, you "really want to get people their stuff" but never respond to emails. WHy is it that I sent you information to track my shipment 3 times but never heard anything in response???
Thanks for the post. When I get my "retallitory" feedback from you, your post will be copied and pasted in the feedback fraud report to ebay.
One thing I do agree with you. Negative feedbacks for not receiving an item after three weeks is wrong. You are correct on that. But, your auction does not clearly state what method will be used to ship the item won. It says "USPS First-Class, USPS Priority, USPS Media Mail (Book Rate), USPS Parcel." The only thing certain about the shipping on my auction is that I paid $6.01 to have it shipped, but I was not clearly made aware of the shipping method. Still, to this point, i am not 100% sure how, if it ever was, shipped.
I tried to be pleasant to you. I tried to be polite in emails. Your personal contact info does no good. You never responded to the PayPal report/investigation that I started, you never responded to EBay's inquiry, let alone the numerous emails that I sent you. On top of that, it seem that everyone else is "stupid" or "a moron" and that you have yet to accept responsibility for your actiuons. Oh yeah, and for the record, I must fall into the .01% of people you realize actually DO send you their proper shipping information, as you claim 99.99% of all complaints against you are due to the buyer supplying the wrong information to you. Yeah right.
Please, stop putting the blame of the fact I did not receive my auction two and a half months after the auction ended and was paid for, on the "lame post office of Tuscon".
Why not just send the item?
And if you send an item that weighs approx. 1.5 lbs, in a padded envelope, with a total shipping value of $20, via media mail, and charge $6.01 to do that, wouldn't you include insurance? I have no problem paying applicable shipping charges for anything I buy. I don't rip off people I sell to, nor do I want to be ripped off. Yes, you have sold more than i ever will dream of, but c'mon, please don't hide behind an "insurance" issue. That would have made the shipping charges on this debacle $7.11. The only thing a $7.11 or 711 is good for is a friggin' slurpee!
I have read every one of youe emails and never once has any one of them (the three that I have received from you) mentioned a single thing about replacing anything. All of them had the common thread that it's either the buyer's fault for not providing the proper information for shipping (as I did now four times) or the post office's fault for the "lost shipment." "Legally and technically" you are responsible to provide proof of the "origional" shipment. That much you are.
I guess dragging you out into a public forum got you to finally wake up and respond, huh? At least people can see what to look for when making an EBay purchase.
If you really need the $26 that bad, well, I guess you're in pretty bad shape. Oh yeah, by the way, that PayPal payment was sent within two minutes of the auction being closed. Two and a half months later, no controllers...
From my numerous emails, you KNOW I never wanted it to get like this. All I wanted was my controllers. That's all. Pretty easy. Just to have the transaction completed. In good faith, I "Bought It Now" and immediately paid you.
Please, either refund my money or send me my controllers. No more screwing around.
If what you said about sending another set of controllers out is true, I will not only be more than happy to post positive feedback for you noting that you stand behind your sales, but I will note it on this forum as well that I actually received them...
Oh yeah, please, no more jokes about the Cross.
For the record. I do "THINK" often, clearly, and very well, thank you very much. Also, never in a million years plus, would I ever even consider throwing a brick at a store window, or a merchant in any way, to rectify a bad sale. Actual converstaion sometiomes works better. Brick throwing never does.
Do you "THINK" you can spell my name properly?
Thank you for "TRYING" by sending out the replacement controllers. I will be more than happy to let you, as well as the AtariAge community know whenever, if they in fact do, arrive.
Mercury, THANK YOU for your time,
Ed

Thank you for the positive interest in our forthcoming release of Stunt Cycle. In typical fashion, we've developed this project pretty close to the vest. I wrote to David Newman at PC4 recently as passed him some details. The project schedule is really tight which is why I haven't publicized any pictures or pushed out any details. We'll make it to Philly with 50 copies in hand. Stunt Cycle is being presented in a similar fashion to Holey Moley and Stunt Cycle. Bob Polaro is involved in the project, and will be at the PC4 Atari2600.com booth to hand out and autograph copies.Holey Moley was programmed in 1980. Bob's prototype is dated 7/21/80. As such the game would have been contemporay with titles such as Missile Command and Adventure. The Stunt Cycle packaging reflects this heritage. We'll pass on additional details including pictures to AtariAge.com later this week.

Not to pry too much, but is there a specific day that this will be available at PhillyClassic? 50 copies is a small amount and I'd love to get my hands on one.

That's the same problem I had. Sure, he had about 75 or 80 negs, but at the time he had 21,00 positives. Thaought that wasn't bad. After I ordered, a flood of negatives came in.

He got away with this one too...

Anyone have a set that they'd be willing to sell? I missed the auction for these last night and am looking for some. Any help would be appreciated.

Wasn't there supposed to be someone at PC4 selling modded 2600s'? I was looking for a modded 2600 Jr., but no one was there.
Anyone know where I can pick one up? I tried the mod myself once but fried the board.
