  1. Thanks for looking! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=8104807696
  2. I'm sorry Steve. I just can't help myself...
  3. Damn, I should sell mine that way too. It's just as clean as yours.
  4. I bought a brand new pair of remote control joysticks once. Yes, they and the box were new, but the UPS shipping label slapped right on the box and the fact it was shipped "naked" like that, wasn't a nice thing. Upon complaint to the seller, I received another box, and pair of joysticks too, of which I unloaded them on Stan!
  5. Not a problem at all! You seconded that motion. This thread is now locked.
  6. With 5 hours left to go, and the bidding only at $200, the auction is pulled. Where is the public outcry on this autrocity? Is the stoning about to begin???
  7. I pulled the auction 23 hours into a 7 day auction. Sure it probabally would have gone up, but when I realized what I did, I pulled it, with the intent of relisting it with a reserve price.
  8. Hey Ray, Thanks for the post. This is what I do not understand, nor do I believe that people are reading all the posts on this thread before making a comment. Yes, there was an error in the listing price and an error in the fact that I did not include a reserve price for the auction. When this was discovered, the auction was pulled. This error was discovered 23 hours into the auction, not several days. It was a 7 day listing that had 6 days, and an hour to go. Not liking the price at that point was pretty irrelivant as there was a ton of time to go. I made a joke about not wanting $8 for it, but that $8 was the amount after 23 hours, not with 23 hours left. Pulling the auction for that reason was fine. When this shitstorm started, I decided not to relist it until the dust settled. Actually now, as of tonight, thanks to the huge amount oof fuss that was raised over this issue, I was offered via a PM here at AA an offer to buy it before it went back up on Ebay for actually more than I even wanted for it or was going to set the reserve for. So actually I do have to thank all of the "guardians of Ebay policy" for creating a lit of publicity for my sale. It was also instrumental in selling a few other of my rarer games. Thanks guyss!
  9. Jehova, Jehova, Jehova, Jehova!
  10. Agreed. My last post was put up before seeing your last one. Take care and thanks for the verbal spar. It's always enjoyable as long as after we say our peace, it's over. As far as I'm concerned, it's long over.
  11. And for your other post... Maybe right, maybe wrong. People have said I'm a rulebreaker, right? They must feel or think they know me then, correct? As it pertains to my auction and the actions taken, yes. I stand by my origional statement. It actually doesn't. What it does apply to is the justification that you have made up in your mind that "In shutting your auction down early you were essentially performing the function of having a reserve, thereby avoiding the fee by eBay that performs that function". In your mind, by the justification that you have made, why then yes, you are correct. Again, and I will say this for the final time here. I made a mistake. I realized this mistake 23 hours into a 7 day auction, and corrected it. What ensued was this comically unbelieveable shitstorm.
  12. Om second thought, I'd like to look at this post. Then, I'll move on to your next one. At the beginning would be nice. Actually, I am not taking this personally at all. I think it's actually funny what people have made this into. Really, I do. Actually, I beg to differ with you. The topic here isn't "Why do people end auctions early", it is "Ed ended his Mangia auction early and we are not happy" Yes, I asked for applicable policy. The one you quoted clearly stated RESERVE PRICE AUCTION, of which no matter how you try to read into it, it is not. At leat you were correct in something here, it's a shame you weren't totally accurate. The whole policy that you quoted does not apply. As soon as you post the policy that applies to a seller removing an auction due to a mistake they made, please, by all means, post it. For the record, I understand what you were saying, but, do you? This is where it gets really good... After typing this, I am in shock that you didn't realize and comprehend what it was that you just typed. It totally supports what I have been saying all along that what you posted does not pretain to me. It should be over right here, right now, but no, you continued. Here, again, it's obvious that you have not been comprehending what I was saying. One last time. I made a mistake and took it down to relist with a reserve. Then, when this shitstorm happened, it was put on hold. That is a fairly basic concept. I really am not sure who you are talking to here, me or yourself. That is just way too funny. You have noting else constructive to say, so you go and attack me and my "mental capacity"? That is just too good! Actually, this topic was about the removal of an item for auction on Ebay, not any particular policy. At least we agreed on something, right? That's one! No. Again, it was about the early ending of an auction that sever times I stated was because of a mistake I made. No, you are not, and I thank you for that. What you are attacking is my "mental capacity". Actually, I always have, and always will think this is funny. What isn't funny about a bunch of people bitching and whining about something they never even bid on in the first place? And for the record, who is this discussion about if it isn't about me or what I did?
  13. This is actually even more laughable now than it was before. This is just getting too funny. The get a life comment simply means that if this is all that people/children have to worry about, then they must have a real simple life then, eh? I asked for the policy that pertained to what I did be quoted. You, self admittedly, quoted a policy that did not apply to what I did. Now where is the logic in that? Also, where in your diatribe did you acknowledge what I said about making a mistake in the listing at the time I first realized it? Did you see and understand that? Lacking mental capacity? That's a good one!
  14. Instaid of telling people to get a life, why not just lock this thread? All the sane people (including myself) know you didn't do anything wrong, so why not just lock it and let it go. I have no problem in defending what I have done. You try to end it, but it takes a life of it's own on. There was noting wrong done here, henceforth why other mods and I decided not to lock it. I appreciate your agreeance with my on this subject. It is just sad to me that sooooo many people who didn't even bid on the item, let alone took the time to understand why I really took it down, always have to weigh in on the topic. For the people who say they have the right to watch and snipe (which I have no problem with), I also have the right to correct a mistake. People say I'm wrong without knowing me or who I am. That, combined with the assinine points that are brought up, make me laugh. No, I'm not gonna lock this thread. I can take the debate. If it needs to be locked, Albert will lock it, as it won't be me.
  15. OK...let's take a look at your post, shall we? This is a false statement. This policy is not applicable as the auction WAS NOT A RESERVE PRICE AUCTION. I am not sure how many times' date=' nor in how many different languages I have to say it, but I'll try it in good old English again...I made a mistake in listing the auction and did not set a reserve! When this was discovered, which by the way was less than 23 hours into a 7 day listing, the auction was ended. Plain and simple. Funny thing again. Absolutely nothing listed above here was written anywhere in my auction now, was it??? Two things here. One' date=' there is no listing as it's already been removed, and two...scare me! A written warning from EBay for violating a policy that I didn't even break???
  16. Actually, he doesn't. I have this happening to me once before with a different seller and i asked Ebay about it. Ending an auction because you are not satisfied with the bid amount so far is *NOT* (let me repeat that: **NOT**) a valid reason according to Ebay policies. If you are worried about that you should set a reserve price. If someone doesn't want to pay a little extra for that then they shouldn't complain about low bid amounts in my opinion... Anyway, i'm sure it would have been sniped in the last seconds for a reasonable amount of money. Cheers, Raymond Please quote the Ebay Policy exactly as it is written, as well as an example of what you are referring to please. Hearsay does not count. On top of that, if you read my post, you will notice that I admitted making a mistake by not putting a reserve on the auction. What else do you want? I apologized, and moved on.
  17. Al, you're not buying that dress, are you???
  18. Sorry, but you really didn't specify that you are from Europe, nor you were refering to a PAL format game.
  19. I already said I made a mistake and should have listed it differently. What else can I say? It really wasn't a big deal, except for people that were looking to capitalize on a mistake I made. Well, I fixed my mistake and I believe it pissed people off. I have now received PMs from three of the bidders, all of which had no problems with what I did and have stated they would have done the same thing. Now if they aren't upset in the least, why are people that never bid on it upset?
  20. I can more than live with it, and in my mind, as well as a few others that have bothered to PM me about this subject, it's no mistake at all. Believe me, I am no mind reader and them's the chances I took. Just stay tuned for the relist then if you, and four others are really that interested in it. I have made it way more than clear when I mentioned that I'm selling off my collection that I'm not out to make $$$. It's more important to me to sell things to a real collector and not have a ton of vultures flying around looking to get "deals". I'd perfer to, and have done many in the past week, do private sales. I have a large and diverse collection, and as long as I get my money back, or even close to it, I am very happy by that. I am not out to make a buck, believe me. If that was the case, you would really know it. There are several people on the forum that I have just freely given games to, some of value. The $$$ doesn't really mean much at all to me. To see good games go to good people that appreciate them, does. If anyone is asking for references, just ask Stan, Aimee, CPUWIZ, Albert, SS, MegaManFan, or Boomtownpizza1971. I'm sure they'd be happy to attest to my philosophy. This is a hobby that shouldn't break the bank for people. I want to sell off my collection for a fair price and not rip poeple off. Nor do I want to be ripped off or simply give away rare games for a "steal" or "good price". "Fair price" is what I'm looking for. I'm not gonna loose money, just get back what I paid for these things.
  21. My auction actually had 6 days and less than an hour to go on it.
  22. Well, here you go... http://www.atariage.com/software_page.html...wareLabelID=205
  23. Thanks, I appreciate that!
