Does anyone know how truly "scarce" this game actually is? I was under the impression that is not that rare of a game but the prices I see it going for on Ebay, just for the cart, seem to reflect differently.

Hold onto it! Sounds like it is fixable but even if it is too involved, always hold onto it for spare parts. That is how I repaired my Vader! Good luck!

I was wondering if there was a way to make the joystick easier to move around, cause they're pretty stiff.
Thank's a loaded question if I ever saw one

Guess you have to use it more....................

Saw this link and thought with a few modifications how nice an Atari would be instead!!!

I can't believe you got those for that price. I haven't found any carts at my local flea market. NICE JOB!!!

I wouldn't care what someone else thinks of something I'm passionate about, especially my Atari. I am fortunate enough to know other people that respect it enough to sit down and put in some gaming hours, sharing games and such. I understand the angst but don't start start ripping Atari shirts off of undeserving people wearing them. Just enjoy your Atari and feel sorry for the peeps that just don't get it.

If I have one it's yours. I'll have to go through the manuals, may be a few days if someone finds one sooner.

Tanx AX..........very kind of you!!!!

Carts definately......................but back them up on discs!!! haha

I must agree with the first post! Snoopy goes the extra distance by having an "ending theme". ET, Frogger and Smurfs follow.

Just wondering if anyone out there would be willing to part with a spare Dig Dug manual? It surely would be appreciated!!
Thanks for any and all help!

All this over a few bucks? Really? If it was something I had been looking for, I think the $3 dollars would've been worth the instant gratification of taking it right home and playing it instead of waiting for it to ship. But hooray for you, you ended up paying what you wanted to pay.

I don't think so....... Atari, like any other collectible item, has their ups and downs...... I think with the economy right now, it might be at a lower point but I think it will go back up and even surpass previous highs.I guess I would tend to agree with you about the ups and downs. I also see with the economy people trying to get more for their belongings. I haven't made a decent haul at a thrift store in a while but garage sales are improving and the pawn shops are getting a ton. I tend to feel a little dirty inside after buying from the pawns though. I feel like I stripped someone elses childhood memories to improve mine. Maybe I'm thinking too much.
Don't read too much into that. You're giving the Atari a new home with new memories. I hope that helped! Collecting anything fluctuates and the economy definately has alot to do with it. I remember seeing a 2600 on ebay for over $2000 back in 2001.

Hi everyone...i'm new to this. I live in Australia. There isn't as much hype about Atari over here as it sounds like in other places. I wanna know who has the biggest collection of 2600 carts. I've been collecting for 4 years now and i own 261 different cart, not including doubles.Welcome to Atariage! Good luck in your quest for games. Once you start it is hard to stop!!

Seaquest
Qbert
Haunted House
Super Breakout
Starmaster: all classic must haves, play and you'll see why!!
Star Wars the Arcade Game and ROTJ (visually appealing and cool!)
Good luck in your quest!

Was this game ever released? It sounds like Strategic Operations on steroids. I would love to have this game!

Big surprise, I love my Vader which I keep in fine working order myself!

-
That is awesome! That is friggin' amazing. Everyone should have room in their homes for one or two of those lamps!

To this day, I still get excited when the E.T. is running to catch the ship! I also still yell at him when he slips into a pit but not many games stand the test of time like that!!

I wouldn't give these guys any more attention or thought. It's lame and they just want a reaction like they are getting here.WELL SAID!

True..........I am stunned at what some people pay for the most common of games.
