  1. I was wondering if there was a way to make the joystick easier to move around, cause they're pretty stiff.

I can't believe you got those for that price. I haven't found any carts at my local flea market. NICE JOB!!!

  3. I wouldn't care what someone else thinks of something I'm passionate about, especially my Atari. I am fortunate enough to know other people that respect it enough to sit down and put in some gaming hours, sharing games and such. I understand the angst but don't start start ripping Atari shirts off of undeserving people wearing them. Just enjoy your Atari and feel sorry for the peeps that just don't get it. icon_fett.gif

  4. All this over a few bucks? Really? If it was something I had been looking for, I think the $3 dollars would've been worth the instant gratification of taking it right home and playing it instead of waiting for it to ship. But hooray for you, you ended up paying what you wanted to pay.

  5. I don't think so....... Atari, like any other collectible item, has their ups and downs...... I think with the economy right now, it might be at a lower point but I think it will go back up and even surpass previous highs.

I guess I would tend to agree with you about the ups and downs. I also see with the economy people trying to get more for their belongings. I haven't made a decent haul at a thrift store in a while but garage sales are improving and the pawn shops are getting a ton. I tend to feel a little dirty inside after buying from the pawns though. I feel like I stripped someone elses childhood memories to improve mine. Maybe I'm thinking too much.

Don't read too much into that. You're giving the Atari a new home with new memories. I hope that helped! Collecting anything fluctuates and the economy definately has alot to do with it. I remember seeing a 2600 on ebay for over $2000 back in 2001.

  6. Hi everyone...i'm new to this. I live in Australia. There isn't as much hype about Atari over here as it sounds like in other places. I wanna know who has the biggest collection of 2600 carts. I've been collecting for 4 years now and i own 261 different cart, not including doubles.

Welcome to Atariage! Good luck in your quest for games. Once you start it is hard to stop!!
