Although, I have to assume being Atari graphics that THEY would be a little more square! I've seen a rare game, Sex Man. The game plays like pac man but with a twist. Not sure if this game was a prototype but the girl is sporting torpedos on her chest and the guy that's chasing her in the beginning of the game is quite happy to see her. I guess they could model 9 to 5 after that!

Does a PAL cart, when used in a US console, have screen roll or does it just not work at all? Not sure if I have a PAL game or if the cart is bad.

You can pick up a parts one. If you can solder you can swap switches, etc. I'm sure Ebay has a few out there. All you need right now is the switch anyway.
-
My pleasure. Glad someone will use it. Maybe this will inspire me to actually play this game. You should. I think it may be one of the more complex games for Atari. You won't pick it up in 10 minutes though but worth the effort I think. I know it's the closest I'll get to flying the shuttle!

It's interesting you mentioned that. I had spoken with someone who mentioned that in an attempt to save money, later releases for the 5200 were indeed put in 2600 boxes with a sticker on the shrinkwrap to hide it. I thought the guy was pulling my leg.

Hey, does anyone know where I can find a Flight Deck Console overlay for Space Shuttle? I bought a sealed version of this game thinking one would come with it but alas it did not. Must have been a later release. I made one but would really like the original.

From the album: Things in my life.
My wonderful boy Squishy, aka: Lord Squishington, The Squish and Poopey. He's just over 3 and just the best boy ever! He gives sits and gives paw for treats. -
I'd have to say Activision takes it from my experience. Almost all my games from them have the "plaque". Granted M-network was too cheesy(or had a reason not) to put on a label but definately Activision has more spotting than any other. Acidic adheshive I guess. Boo.

If it's something my heart is set on then I'll go for the boxed but generally the better deal (cart and manual) wins over.

Does anyone have Lochjaw and why is it so rare?
vaderlover replied to vaderlover's topic in Atari 2600
The reason Lochjaw is rare is because of a copyright ingringement lawsuit that took place almost immediately when it was initially released. The game sounded too much like the movie Jaws. Because of this Lochjaw was in super limited quantities. I guess you could call this the Beatles Butcher album of Atari video games. Apollo would later release this game slightley altered as Shark Attack. Shark Attack was a pretty good seller, but the original version was Lochjaw. Thank you for the info! -
Just curious as to how many people have Lochjaw and why is it so rare? Is it worth the money I've seen it estimated for?

I know you can plug an RC cable into the mic jack on pcs. It accepts external media; turntables, cassettes etc. All you may need is an adapter that accepts the RC cable from your atari to plug into an auxillary port in your pc. You may then be able to view it through Media Player or some other media software of the sort. I'm only taking a guess here. I've recorded music from a 4 track (analog) and have used the RC input to digitally master the recordings. I've never dabbled in video. Good luck in your quest!
