Maybe I caught him on a good night... Can’t say the same about VH (though 2007 Tour was better than 2012), but Roth’s voice was trashed….

OMG - David Lee Roth is a whole other level of "atrociously bad live vocals". Axl sounds like an opera singer in comparison.

Roth's a fun showman, but singing in tune live is absolutely not his strength. Add to that his extraordinary arrogance, and you have a very polarizing figure: Some love him for his showmanship and that era of music. Others (like me) find him to be an arrogant, tone-deaf creep.

Being creepy, pouty and strutty seemed to be the thing in the 80s. Watching DLR and Bret Michaels in their 'prime' always makes me cringe.

Some of us ask the same in regards to later gen stuff, haha..
