  1. Just received a set of ten of them from Venezuela Beany Bopper, Chess, Fishing, Fox & pig, Glutton, Little Bear, Normandy Landing, Pitfall, Mr. Postman and Spider. They look very cool to me!
  2. Hola, por trabajo me va a tocar pasar tiempo en México DF. ¿Alguien sabe de alguna tienda interesante con material retro? ¿Algo que merezca la pena visitar aunque no sea tienda (exposición por ejemplo)? Gracias
  3. I was wondering if Mega Drive and Genesis carts have the same form factor / dimensions. Also if the boxes are the same so I can use the cool labels and inserts I have seen in this thread
  4. To be honest I have not even searched, the only game stores I know are Game and Gamestop and the retro stuff they have is PS2. I had a Mega Drive once but I gave it to a younger cousin In fact I'm lending the Everdrive board to a friend who is into Sega so he can test it Now I'm used to eBay for all my gaming needs and have completely forgotten the local "real" stores ... guess I'm getting lazy
  5. Received mine today I have to search for a donor cart, if somebody volunteers, I'd pay shipping to Spain + cost of the cartridge if applicable
  6. Did you see if it had VGA output or used the already present s-video? I was wondering how an amiga would look with an s-video output. I'm glad it looked good --- now publish that core so I can try it!! Was the Amiga core able to run games and stuff? How far along did it appear to be? He loaded a game that went to the workbench first and it looked pretty good. I want to say it supported workbench 1.3, but to be honest, I didn't ask too many details at the time. For me, I would want to be able to select the OS ROMs and disk images so I could play AGA stuff and the like when I wanted to. Cliff
  7. Some of the items are interesting, but the international shipping cost outright kills me, Stella gets a new Brain 29 USD! Dunno if this can be shipped by any other means
  8. Homer, I can provide an address in the US (a friend of mine) Would you mind me bidding then? I think it is against Ebay rules to have free shipping in the U.S., and charge shipping outside of the U.S. If this was a super big item, I would probably allow for shipping outside of the U.S. since an extra 30 or 40 dollars is no big deal when the item is worth thousands of dollars, but since I already started the auction as U.S. only I just can't do that. Extremely sorry about that.
  9. Crap, totally missed this ... wanna be in the list if more are available! Will send you a PM also, just in case!
  10. Homer, the auction says you only ship to the US, any chance you'd ship overseas? - not for free of course
  11. I received one last week. The version without sticker (plain black). There is a thread with some information in Lemon64. I have to test it more but it looks good, the s-video quality is astonishing but it has no rgb or vga output built. The 100 games work. I have not tested to add more - it seems that only disk images can be added (no .prg files). It is not clear if you can write to the disk images at the moment (highscores, player characters, etc.) I think it is a very good product, and will be greater with the next update. Of course, if other cores are made available (seems it has a very powerful FPGA, someone said at the minimig forums) this can be a very cool gadget If only I had time to use everything I buy!!!
  12. Didn't know there were two player pinballs ... looks very cool!

  15. Here's a little story I'd like to share with you: Retromadrid is a classic computing and gaming fair organized by the classic computer users association of Madrid, Spain. Last march the 2010 edition took place in the computer science faculty. I was one the volunteers that helped made it possible. To cover some of the expenses we made a raffle with stuff donated by collectors, stores and aficionados: some manga collections, a modded PSX, a consolized CPS2, … I wanted to contribute with some Atari stuff. To make it unique I thought about a special version, a hack of some of the great Atari 2600 games. As a collaborative games competition was going to take place, I thought Space Invaders was the perfect choice. So I teamed up with my friend Antonio and thus All your base Society was born. All super-heroes and cartridge makers need a name, don't they? If only I knew some Atari 2600 coding … but wait, there are many excellent programmers and Atari lover here, so I asked for help in the 2600 programming forum. Some people volunteered, the first of them Scott "Neotokeo2001". He made a hack of Space Invaders Deluxe in the time I need to shave my beard! The organisation liked the idea so much they agreed to ask some of the members of the association to make the original art for the game. Fernando Sangregorio made some of the coolest Spectrum and Amstrad covers in the late 80s for Dynamic and Topo, two spanish software publishers. Many of these games are sport simulators, like Emilio Butragueño Futbol, Aspar GP Master or Drazen Petrovic Basket. Well, he made the original illustration for Space Invaders Retromadrid and it was so cool we used it as the image of the fair. It depicts an alien armada attacking the computer science faculty. Take a look at this!: I made the game using material from the AA store, the label with the Atari 2600 labelmaker and I found some Gimp templates for the box in this forum. So this is the final version: A poster sized version of the illustration was also included. There is only one copy of the game I made a small presentation for the raffle, thanking Fernando Sangregorio and Scott, and explaining the basics of the production. Then a random number is generated to give the game to the chosen guy/girl. Unfortunately, the winner was not there to get the game, we gave it to him later that afternoon! It was a very nice fair. I met old friends from the "good old times"
  16. Last month I received a 7" LCD screen from china protected with 1mm cardboard all around and shipped in a bubbled envelope. Seller had thousands of positive feedbacks He promised he'll ship the replacement in a box! Still waiting, though.
  17. I was me I've tried to check if a US lampshade would fit in a European lamp with little success. I found even a lampshade faq but was bored to death after 5 mins!
  18. You guys here are gonna be my ruin. Please stop making cool things. PM'd
  19. OK, you know what, I swapped the caps ... and it worked!
  20. Hi, I need to make a cartridge with a mod of space invaders deluxe. It is an 8k rom The .bin runs ok on Sptella and on my Harmony I have a Willem GQ-4x programmer running on Vista. I select a generic 2764A (12.5Vpp) as device. I have programmed 4k eproms with this programmer. The 8k bankswitching logic reads: Atmel 0641 ATF22V1DC-15PC As you can see in the pictures, I'm using a SARA board. I connected two pins of the SARA print as instructed by CPUWIZ, to be able to use it without the SARA. Then I insert the board in the Atari with the eprom facing up: i get some horizontal lines. I turn it around with similar results. After a couple of times, I get only blank screens. The Atari runs ok. Any idea? Maybe I destoyed some component on the board because it was upside down? What is the correct position?
  21. Thanks Chris, I can definitely use this. So I'm only missing a scan of the instruction booklet!
  22. These are much better than the ones I have so thanks a lot, the-topdog! For better results, I'd like more resolution on the scans though. If somebody can provide that, I'd very much appreciate. Still looking for the instruction manual also
  23. Hi, I need to make a box for a hack of Space Invaders we are giving away in the coming retrogame fair "Retromadrid 2010" I've tried working on the scan here in the AA database, but it is not of a very high quality. So I was wondering if somebody could provide a high quality scan of the box (front and back) and the instructions booklet - the european version would be preferable. I can provide my personal email by PM. It is for a good cause
