  1. Well, I'm from Spain and I sometimes ask "US only sellers" to let me bid

My advice is: look at the feedback. Brand new buyers might not understand the difference in shipping time and risks involved compared to domestic shipping.

On Oct 29th I bought an X-arcade tankstick, a very big and heavy package. I was sure I would be stopped at the customs but the USD to EUR ratio made me take the risk. To my surprise, I got the package Nov 4th and I had tracking all the way along, even email alerts!. Shipping was USPS International Priority, if you use that it seems you have tracking

Don't think expensive shipping costs will drive europeans away, the USD is very cheap now: I saved 60€ buying the joystick in the US compared to Spain, including the shipping!

  2. Overall I've noticed a slowdown in delivery times just in the States over the last month or so. I'm currently waiting on three packages and a money order from an AA member that apparently got lost in the mail. Packages that usually take a few days are taking unusually longer.

A trusted seller told me she's had most of his international packages returned. Seems the US customs got very picky and said the customs form was not filled out correctly, all because of a terrorist called Zazi who was planning something nasty with household items(she even told me to search it at foxnews.com) Now she can't send anything without a detailed description of the contents.

Other items from the US have arrived, though

Still waiting for my 4 packages from her :(

  3. Ax, don't believe all international buyers are all the same. I buy tons of stuff from the US and everywhere else (in fact I have bought from you but via the AA forum)

I have only been scammed once (with the typical out of city / death in the family delay then not replying any mail) because I select my sellers carefully - also I have more than 350 feedbacks as a buyer, 100% positives

I can tell you I'm waiting for a parcel full of D&D stuff I boght in July - the US customs bounced it back for no reason. As I paid first class mail or a dirt cheap priority I cannot blame the seller if it gets lost - provided I trust the seller had sent it. Proof for me is simply communication and past feedbacks.

I have even moved "US only" sellers into sending to Spain. You have to understand as a buyer that losing a package is a possibility, that's all.

I have filled only one Paypal claim, It was for a Megadrive cart "Zero Wing" I bought for 2 GBP I think. It got lost I suppose and the stupid seller did not even reply my two kind mails asking for its whereabouts.

With the current USD to EUR ratio :lust: ... select your customers and keep on selling abroad!

  4. In the coming classic console - computer gaming fair in Spain Retromadrid 2010, the organisers want to prepare a "circuit" in which couples of gamers (like father - son) try different classic cooperative games for 5-10 mins.

Most of the games we can think of are typical beat or shoot'em ups. The tentative list has no games for Atari 2600, Coleco, Intelly, Vectrex or anything from NES downwards, which is a shame.

Just to illustrate the idea, some of the games already "selected" are Bubble Bobble, Snow Bros, Gauntlet, Mario Bros ... sure there are more cooperative games out there!. Btw, the games have to very simple to understand, to be able to play several games of the circuit.

We'd very much appreciate suggestions specially for the most classic systems :)

  5. The two Elvira RPG games might be the ones I liked the most on the Amiga. A couple of months ago I bought the C64 version also.

I didn't know there was an Atari HB about Elvira - the video rocks! If it is made available I'll get one for sure

This women is immortal? She looks the same she did in the 90's

Can't wait for my Phantasm! :D

  6. Hi

I have a spare Intellivision Master Component for sale

It is the US version (110V - NTSC) with the joysticks and power cable attached to the main unit. I also have a box - with no styrofoams - and the manual.

I ship from Spain, so I guess I can reach most of Europe for a decent shipping cost (around 15-18€ but I have to check)

I'd like to get 25€ for the console but I'm open to offers.
