  1. 2 button mode wasn't toggled correctly in 1.3d, causing bugs with a few games. This update is based on input from raz0red and groovybee, and quite a bit of experimentation on the console. Controls in all games seem to work properly now.

    ProSystem 1.3e

    ---------------------

    Improved emulation of RIOT

    - 1/2 button modes are now toggled correctly.

This fixes critical bugs in a few games (Fatal Run, Hat Trick, One on One, Water Ski)

    - SWCHA now reflects the interactions of CTLSWA and the RIOT's DRA register. Ditto for SWCHB.

This makes console switches more accurate, but it only affects odd scenarios.

Thanks to raz0red and groovybee for their help figuring these things out

Incidentally, I realized from the schematic that it would be possible to configure RIOT such that the joystick directionals and console switches are locked in the active position. I tried it on the console and succeeded in locking all the directionals at once. This update includes that behavior, however useless it may be. :)

Raz0red did a lot of research and some disassembly on a few games to help with the 1.3d issues.

He will likely be coming out with a significant update pretty soon. He's found many bugs and been adding functionality on the Wii7800 project. He's porting those improvements back to ProSystem.

    Fyi

Help About still reports version 1.3d2

at least for me it does.

  2. I want to buy a Svideo cable and use it on my 65xe and soon to arrive 800xl. ...

Someone will correct me if I am wrong but I believe you'll have to modify the 800xl to use the svideo.

I did read that the svideo may not work on all Atari XL machines. That is why I thought maybe I should get the Atari S-Video +Composite A/V cable but it only has one audio (Red). Does either the XE or XL output to both left and right audio channel (Red & white)?

Also with Atari S-Video +Composite A/V cable not sure if the diode is inplace.

I may just shoot the guy that makes the cables a quick question.

    Thanks,

    Mark

The RED is for audio, and as a standard Atari is mono anyway, only one audio connector is needed

Thanks everyone for the quick responses.

  4. I want to buy a Svideo cable and use it on my 65xe and soon to arrive 800xl. I found someone called Atari 8 bit on ebay selling different types and I got confused on what one to buy.

    Diffrent setups offered

"2 in 1 CABLE! S-Video, and COMPOSITE outs!" looks like only one audio out

****NEW ITEM: 12ft. NEW Super High Quality "S-Video A/V Video Cable"...

    Listed in their ad:

***HD CABLE: We now add a component inside the plugs on our Atari cables...makes the picture SUPER CLEAR! High Def. Excellent for LCD/Plasma, HD televisions... We are the only ones in the WORLD with this cable!

Help I need some good advice.

I'm hooking to a 40 inch LCD so I'm thinking Svideo would look much better.

    Thanks,

    Mark

  5. I was given an Atari 65xe all it came with was the PS and box. I was able to get video using the coax adapter. It fought me with not booting up and when it did I got memory errors but after about an hour it now seems to be working well. Guess it just needed some burn-in time.

I was wonder where I should go from here. I plan on ordering a game cartridge but not sure what the next step shoud be.

So I thought I would drop the question here to get some helpful advice.

This is my first Atari computer ever. I grew up with Vic-20 and C-64.

    Thanks,

    Mark

  6. There will be 10-20 Premium editions of the game that will come with some cool extras.

Question) Do you prefer to have more extras included and pay a higher price or have just a few extras but pay a lower price?

What would the difference in prices be?

I would like to get a Premium edition but I have no idea what the price range is that you are referring to.

  7. I ordered mine on November 19. I e-mailed in early December and got the response I put in post #17 about delayed manufacturing and such. I know Curt has had problems in the last year but I have sent three e-mails in the last couple of months and a copy of my Google receipt in case it was one of the lost ones but have not even received a form e-mail or any kind of response. The site has not been updated in well over a month so that is no help. Like I said, I understand problems but I have been very patient, I know Curt has been on this site recently, all I am asking for is at least an e-mail saying he does have my order on record and be honest and say it will be shipped in another month, or two, or whatever.

If anyone feels I am being unreasonable please say so, all I am asking for is at least to hear for myself from Curt that he has my order and it will eventually ship.

My experience is the same as yours. No response after I supplied my Google purchase information. All I can do is wait.
