23,315 Played MIST's new 5200 core by foft.

I too get an error when trying to save to disk. All the other save options work but are lost after shutting down the FPGA. I also tried to save to a blank disk mounted to D2 and also tried saving to the games's atr file. I didn't have any issues with F11 or F12 after leaving the Freezer menu. I tried this on my MIST and MCC-216.

Just checked it out. Nice Job.
-
Thanks, I thought I might have corrupted my SD card with all the updates and changes I've made lately.
-
I don't know what I did but now the 5200 boot up screen shows a row of "S" at the bottom of the screen and the 5200dapter or joypad doesn't seem to work. I'm running the latest MIST firmware that supports 5200dapter.
-
@eeun, you were correct it was my file structure / folder names. Weird, I was using Atari_800/rom and Atari_800/user to load the 800 core. But all is good now that I renamed my folder. -Mark

@foft, to get the 5200 core up and running are there any other files needed besides the rbf? Also in your distro for the 5200 the rbf files are labeled atari800core.rbf. When I load the 5200 rbf core I only see a blank screen then when I press a function key (F12) I get a weird screen.

Thanks Hiassoft and foft!!! I just played a few rounds of Space Harrier on my MCC-216.
-
I don't need credit either I only did one test. But thank you anyhow.
-
@foft how's the progress coming on your 5200 core?
-
I'm very excited to try your 5200 core on the MIST!! I made a post over at Atari-Forum in the MIST section.

This one seems to work on my NTSC hardware. Cavernia The bottom of the screen is cut off a bit but not too bad.

@foft Could AspeQt be used to load games on the Mist with a USB to USB FTDI cable? FTDI USB Null Modem Cable
-
Last night I tried the latest release with AspeQt. I loaded some games to my A8 DE1 FPGA and it worked very well but I didn't see a way to load multiple disks. Thank you everyone involved in making Atari 800 - Best Game I really like the addition of AspeQt.
-
The latest version of Atari 800 - Best Game Pack now supports loading to real hardware via AspeQt. I just tried loading a few games to the DE1 and it worked great.

Not in the list. Edit: Going to re-install.

Wonder if anyone could help me figure out why I get errors when trying to compile. This is new to me so I may have missed a step in setting the files or environment up. I'm running Win7 32bit. I installed CC65 for windows, Make-3.81, cygwin, Git Shell. Windiows environment: Varible: CC65_Home Value: C:\Program Files\cc65 Appended to Windows Path: C:\Program Files\cc65\bin;C:\Program Files\GnuWin32\bin;C:\Cygwin\bin; Error I'm getting when I run make: $ make atari - common/config.c additional file specs ignored cc65.exe: Unknown option: --dep-target make[2]: *** [../libwrk/atari/config.o] Error 255 make[1]: *** [atari] Error 2 make: *** [all] Error 2 Thanks

Just now I was able to read the forums but very slow. At least it didn't error out.
-
@foft let me see what I can do.
-
@foft could one of these adapters be made to work with FPGA's that have USB ports? http://home.comcast.net/~tjhafner/2600-daptor.htm http://atariage.com/forums/topic/181321-announcing-new-2600-controller-usb-adaptor/

Anyone interested in a run of Sirius & Plutos? SOLD OUT!
NML32 replied to CPUWIZ's topic in Atari 7800
I'm interested in both. -
Good to see it passed the Acid5200 test. Are you wiring up a 5200 controller to your DE1?

I haven't had much time to play with the MCC-TV. It was shipped flashed with PAL settings and looked terrible on every monitor/TV I tried it on. I'm still waiting on the replacement NTSC version that they claim will correct the video quality. MCC-TV stores two cores vs the MCC216's 5 core storage. No Keyboard - use joypad to access on screen virtual keyboard (Terrible idea I don't know what they were thinking) Two USB ports for proprietary usb joypads No DB9 joystick ports only the two USB port Very small footprint. ATM I don't know if the MCC-TV's C64 or Amiga cores have improved compatibility over the MCC-216. Currently the MCC-TV only supports C64 and Amiga cores.
-
I really hope ARG considers adding support for a USB keyboard to the MCC-TV. The virtual KB controlled by joystick is a real pain.

@Dudeslife It's hard to say without a proper description of your problem. Remember currently you can only load .prg files. Load from OSD Once loaded type Run and hit enter. You can use DirMaster to pull .prg files from .d64 and .tap files. http://style64.org/release/dirmaster-v3.0.0-style
