  1. I feel sorry for the guys who were making the game. But with 8 years of development time and a granted license you'd think they would have already finished it long ago. **Funny enough I just watched the video RT posted in the 2600 BatariBasic board about time management and thought about how much these guys could have applied it.
  2. The original Silent Hill deals with some subject matter of tourists being sold drugs, dealers, and a narcotic called white claudia.
  3. Not to derail or anything, but what's fubared with the Atari Anniversary Redux? (As I don't have it yet but if it's got issues I may just avoid it.) Well if you play the PSone disc the games don't show your ship fire. makes all but 2 games unplayable. And I like how the PSN copy of Tomb Raider & Silent Hill work with no issues but my discs don't. Thanks for those updates SONNY
  4. ok..ok..nobody panic! ...OK PANIC!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No, but really nothing wrong with my system. all trophy's load fine and I play off line all the time on the 40GB. Of course SONNY hasn't fixed the issue with Atari Anniversary Redux so they still win no brownie points
  5. As a fan of the Commando game on NES I saw this last night on PSN and thought I'd give it a shot. Damn what a mistake, normally I try a demo and if it's good I'll play it a few times, unfortunately this had me glue to the PS3 till 3am. Thank you Capcom I look forward to the full purchase.
  6. My latest interest is the Sega CD. It looks from the brief amount of research I've done to be homebrew friendly without modifying an actual system. Back in it's day it was too expensive for my wallet yet the system and games are quite affordable now. If anyone can share any insight on useful programming documents for the system or 68000 asm or have done a homebrew already maybe you could share it here. So far I've found 2 sites with some useful info & a few dead links. retrodev Sega CD and Eidolon's Inn
  7. Wow no one mentions Metal Gear Ac!d 2 for PSP. A full color 3D game complete with stereoscopic glasses. Hack your PSP and start programming.
  8. I played the demo last night and a little this morning and now believe all game reviews are like reading a horoscope...someone is gonna go "oh my god! that's exactly what I thought I knew it ruled/sucked" I found the gameplay boring
  9. Gee if your going for modded psp 2000 why buy games? Try a 16 GB memory stick and rip your entire PS1 catalogue and convert them.
  10. Me and my brother used to laugh at ol' banana nose. My only complaint with DK2600 was the hammer timing and lack of the pie factory other than that it's pretty good.
  11. Short answer no, unless you buy a system with backward compatibility. Even if you install Linux nobody has cracked the graphics processor to allow anything other than old retro game systems up to super nintendo/genesis era.
  12. Well if you flip the coin and it lands on heads the modern game has fantastic graphics involving fun gameplay and leaves a feeling of true satisfaction with the purchase...games of high quality sell millions of copies. If it lands on tails you get a half baked, bug infested, rushed to market, under performing, ill conceived, cash in, with no support and ridiculous add on content. This down trodden waste of plastic is available used 3 days later... $60 is too high a introductory price for a new game, nobody pays $60 to watch a film at home yet Hollywood spends just as much (if not more) to produce a product, but is available for $20.00 or less at day one. ** Amen to Mord if Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft want a piece of the used game market, they should START THEIR OWN BUYBACK/SELLING OUTLET.
  13. If they feel so threatened by used game sales and piracy stop charging $60+ for games ya *holes. I'm sure they would sell more new games if they were actually affordable...
  14. I see what your argument is but if the games are available for a cheap price I don't mind, I've wasted money on worse things. And if the PS3 breaks in 5-10 years I'll just buy the new XNintendony720X and waste some more
  15. I enjoy a clutter free gaming zone that only requires a fat harddrive and a wireless controller, it's a great feeling knowing I don't have to get up off the couch anymore for the 30+ games I've bought off PSN. And soon I'll have all my favorites *exit cackling evil laughter*
  16. Yeah just buy it on PSN if it's available..otherwise go buy a pre modded PSP off craigslist and rip your whole catalogue and then some..
  17. Why is it being assumed that these would be remastered on PSN? GOW Collection was remastered but I seriously doubt that any remastered games will be on PSN. The emulation patented last year likely includes a texture smoother anyway. But this is great news that PS2 emulation is back on the table. Hmm, my future eye watching for...Draken:The Ancient's Gate, Silent Hill 2, MGS 3:Snake Eater and Shadow of the Colossus on PS3.
  18. Yeah it smooths textures better than the PS2, I've noticed games like resident evil 2 look like the dreamcast version and you have basically unlimited memory cards too. The PSN games are no different just start the game once and press the PS button and you get a menu for switching discs (virtually) and display options for smoothing , controller options for analogue and digital , memory card management.
  19. about 30 hours if you turn off the dualshock and a rumble heavy game such as Medal of Honor Underground[old psone] with dualshock on lasts about 20 hours..recharge can be done in a little less than an hour if the controller is turned off.
  20. I had a friend give me a soundtrack to Silent Hill Homecoming (it's still sealed)
  21. Any 360/PS3 sidescroller is welcome in my house. Now that's not saying I want Castlevania ReBirth which graphically is no better than super nintendo...no I want to see these games photo realistic with classic gameplay. Smoother fluid animation, particle effects, classic modes, smoke, fire, water, custom soundtracks, random gameplay factors, ect.
  22. man..doesn't SEGA CD have that AH Thunderstrike attack chopper game? Great game
  23. I don't know if your preference is Sony or Microsoft. If all you have to spend is say $400 I'd go with the PS3 since $300 will get you a new system, wi-fi is free, it will play CD's, DVD's, BLU RAY, PSone and PS3 games on all models straight out of the box and supports almost any laptop hard drive and any USB plug and play device.
