  1. I never knew that was possible..that's crazy.
  2. I thought we were at photo realistic back when the PS2 came out..I guess it won't end
  3. I can't think of anything to salvage the cat puke damaged cardboard, but will recommend throwing a towel over the box and putting it in a high closet shelf or put it in storage if that's an option.
  4. I wouldn't be surprised on #1 and also the prediction of a re-released Wii with HD #2 I thought about for a while and think if all 3 systems have a motion sensing controller then development companies will just port new motion titles to all 3 systems instead of just the Wii. So the Wii has the lead regardless in terms of number of motion titles, but I think exclusive titles may determine the winner of this new war in the long run but not the short term.
  5. Assassin's Creed is a great looking title and the gameplay CAN be fun, but I found it very repetitive if played too much, still if it's under $10-15 I'd recommend it. The story wasn't what I expected and the ending was interesting the combat took a little getting used to but can be mastered and broken with a sharp eye.
  6. Well if you made your list based on games you have interest in then I'll easily say the ones I have from your list are all fantastic Oblivion GOTY (if your in Germany the Deutche version is the best version) Fallout 3 Uncharted Dead Space (this game scares the crap out of me) MGS4 is good if you have played the first 3 if you haven't the story might seem pointless GTAIV same old same old with a few new things like a cell phone different control scheme and the graphics look less like a cartoon
  7. Atarifever hijacked the thread...TERROR ALERT!!!!!!RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! IT'S THE CANADIENS! 3D games topic? I'd like to see the games Dead Space, TESIV:Oblivion, and the not yet released The Last Guardian done in 3D. It would also be nice to see some PS3 minis done with 3D support.
  8. Yeah PS3's were given Knights of the Nine on both versions. I think once your out of the sewers on the first or second day an event will happen in the town of Anvil that starts KotN. It's almost a mini Zelda-ish quest with lots of unique items.
  9. Some of the extras? I don't know what you mean GOTY only added Shivering Isles and a vampire cure glitch, while the vanilla originals already have Oblivion and Knights of the Nine (and a cure for vampirism). Great game though, currently I have a level 29 agent who beat all three main quests and still has a ton of guild quests to do.
  10. This is one of the reasons I'd like to see some of the major developers release some arcade style versions of their major franchises, Nintendo has no problem slapping Link in a crossbow shooter why not Lara Croft or Crash Bandicoot in some fun mini game? I'd be content paying $2-$15 for demo size games that have the same type of unlockable achievements/trophies, weapons, characters, and upgrades as normal big budget titles receive. It would cut development time and offer more/varied content and if any games generate some buzz make a epic version of it.
  11. Text adventures got me thinking of Fallout 3 where in the comic books bldg. you could play a beta of Grognak the Barbarian..it was short but very enjoyable
  12. First I have to say for a demo I am deeply impressed with Matt Hazard's gameplay. It reminds me of Contra and the graphics are fantastic. With all the new retro style games and the addition of Minis to the PS3 what 2D titles do you think should be remade? I have already considered emailing Konami to ask for a mini Gradius & Castlevania or even a isometric old style Metal Gear. The possibilities of more games coming out would increase maybe 20X with more variety and the investment/return for these new gen retro titles would be much less of a burden and risk than the 3+ year development cycle for current big budget titles. I hope we see some great things done with this.
  13. Mine was definitely the NES era..maybe it's rose-colored glasses but it seems there were about 30-40 new games a month. There were great chances that one of those were fine tuned to your tastes. Today's consoles have what? 2-6 releases a month..
  14. Jungle Hunt..I loved playing it in the arcade so my expectations were a little high.
  15. Alone in the Dark - err...Resident Evil for 3DO AD&D Deathkeep - FPS style adventure with some great cutscenes and tough difficulty Dragon's Lair - what can I say? I never finished the arcade game till I picked it up for good ol' 3DO Wing Commander III: The Heart of the Tiger - Luke...go blow up the Death Star..err, Kilrathi. Snow Job - One of those FMV games, solve a murder finding clues in 360* panoramic areas I think you can also get Night Trap & Corpse Killer for the system too 3DO is a nice system I spent years on a Goldstar until PSX came along, I found having headphone jacks in the controllers to be great for immersion.
  16. I have that setup with a usb charger adaptor for a car lighter..besides emergencies it also works great for camping.
  17. Thanks again, I think I'll go with Uncharted for now and I'll pick up Tomb Raider at another time..if I feel any urge to play TR I still have The Last Revelation to keep me going. Thanks guys
  18. Oh and the first time my friend was sucked into the waterpool in Ultima III:Exodus that was a jaw-dropper...
  19. Metroid was cool also Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow is fun, I haven't seen any of the newer games since about 4 years ago when I traded the DS in.
  20. I'd be more impressed if it was a leather wallet with the cart's art.
  21. Kid Icarus, Dungeon Magic, Zelda II:The Adventures of Link , Pitfall II:Lost Caverns, Asteroids Deluxe to name a few...
  22. The first time I blew up the Death Star in Star Wars Arcade. The first time I heard Wizard of Wor talk. The first time I saw Dragon's Lair. The first time I played Hard Drivin'. The first time I saw a fatality in Mortal Kombat. The first time I played Castlevania II:Simon's Quest and it went from daytime to nighttime. The first time I played Alone in the Dark on 3DO. The first time I played Silent Hill on PSone. The first time Link turned into an adult in TLoZ Shadow of the Colossus on PS2...
  23. Well both games are cheap and available, offer arguably a similar experience, so which game was the better adventure. Thanks
  24. Strangely I've had issues like this and mine had to do with wiggling the nub while the game was loading which must have disturbed a dead zero analogue check. This can also happen when booting the system when it's not in the standby mode.
  25. The Adventure of Link sucks even by old school standards imho. And yet you use the illustration of Link from that games manual for your avatar? Curious. Well the game manual is clearly more entertaining and reeks of high quality but he was asking about what Zelda games are a great experience not which Zelda manuals are cool... yes Zelda II TAoL has one of the greatest game manuals of the series.lol
