Best replacement NES connectors?
stonestn replied to Ian Primus's topic in Classic Console Discussion
The gold plated ones are supposed to be the best ones but are also the most expensive. Replaced all my 72 pin connectors over a year ago (3 nes systems) and I used the cheap ones at 3.95 (the standard ebay ones) it will always be a tight fit as long as you keep your games clean should last for a really long time. -

Craigslist attracts strange people about 4 times a year I make 2 piles one for goodwill and one for craigslist free stuff. I used to give the freebie hunters a phone number to call me for directions to pick up the stuff let them come into my house and give them the stuff they wanted but I no longer wanted after dealing with some seriously disturbed people I now put all free stuff on a tarp outside and tell whoever emails me to do a mapquest and its waiting for them outside on the tarp. My only other craigslist gripe is the strange sellers selling good antique furniture ran across yesterday a bedroom suite for really bargain basement price told the person since they were across town and Id have to make 3 trips to get it all I was offering 100 dollars less than asking the response I got was a strange one ohh I can't sell it for that I need a place to sleep wtf why are you selling it then?

Not going to guarantee they do this but I have had great dealings with http://www.atari2600.com they sale and refurbish all old school consoles could not find a repair section but it wouldn't hurt to drop them a email to see if they would do it and price. -

console versions u liked better than the arcade
stonestn replied to Mazerati's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Not really a classic but vampire night for the ps2 played smoother and the bonus extras really made it excel the arcade version graphics sound everything on the exact same level as the arcade but the more responsive guncon 2 and the bonus features made this an excellent port. tg-16 spatter house - sure it was edited somewhat but the difficulty was to high on the arcade version tg-16 had a hard difficulty but was more fun and could complete this version on a reverse one I prefer the vs super mario bros over nes smb -

What do you want in a Famiclone?
stonestn replied to StoneAgeGamer's topic in Classic Console Discussion
other thought make a cartridge eject button on most if not all famiclones you really have to wrestle with the cartridge to get it out and sometimes in. -

What do you want in a Famiclone?
stonestn replied to StoneAgeGamer's topic in Classic Console Discussion
100% functioning no list of games that don't work or have strange glitches. Attractive looking no ugliness like the yobo or countless others out there. Extra features Id like to see on board sd card support (extra slot) w/ all mapper downloads availble for using homebrews without paying for repros and dumping physical carts yeah i know retrousb sells 2 devices to do this but it would be cool if it was built in slot for famicom games kinda like the nex had and make your controllers compatible with the real nes hardware or if dualing up with a snes 4 ports 2 nes ports and 2 snes ports. On another note Id love to see a company make a clone of the nintendo Ique for the us and europe market with full us and pal rom support loves the idea of a plug and play n64 but these were only released in china and someone would make a ton if they cloned it for the other markets -

How do you feel about flash carts?
stonestn replied to ddaniels's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Love flash carts I will buy the orginal cartridges for the consoles I have hooked up to the tv but as far as portable gaming goes I couldn't live without a flash cart Only two places I know of to get flash carts only has gba nintendo ds and sometimes psp ones www.gp2xstore.com (never ordered from them before getting the gp2x wiz from them but cant say if they are great to deal with or not since Im on preorder) www.dealextreme.com (hong kong imports -sales some outdated stuff and downright misslabeling on others but ordered alot from them and only had 3 rma's in 2 years - long delivery times to) -

Got this idea about a week ago but I dont have a working knowledge of lodgenet only seen this device in use at hotels but am very technically oriented. What Im wanting to know first is lodgenet purchased by the hotel and the the hotel provides the snes and n64 games for it plus the on demand movies or is it something they install and pay for lodgenet to provide everything. What Im wanting to do is transfer all my dvds (non blu-ray) and all my old vhs tapes to my computer or the purchased lodgenet server and dump all my snes and n64 titles and stream everything to all household tvs to not only save on space but have access to everythng in all rooms. Not scared of hardwork but purchasing all required hardware from ebay or from lodgenet themselves plus probaly some tweaking is this even remotely possible?
