I love my old consoles! No error code on screen...
I do have another Xbox that i am now using so project gotham 2 shall again be dominated....but the only thing better then a working Xbox is two working Xboxs.
It was like i lost a family member...i mean this was the machine i beat halo and halo 2 on. Back in our prime we were unstoppable. This other Xbox is great too, but we have not built up our relationship together - sigh - i guess i haven't learned to trust. As i play this new one the old one stares at me from the corner, i know it wishes me to go on with my life...somehow..one day at a time.
When it happened i was scared and confused..i came to this forum and you guys were there for me.....thanks guys

-
IT was just a regular xbox....now somehow i feel better about ti though....thanks guys
it has the old 3 startup attempts then orange and red flashing lights on the front. I have (in the past) been able to repair this issue buy running a jumper on the system board from pin 5 of the LHC to the 101 chip...this time no luck
From what i have been reading though the 360 has it's on fair share of problems ...like that red ring issue, that hit a couple guys here at work

i went to kohl's right as winter began...they were clearing out there tee's......i was buying mario/zelda/DK/mega man/pac-man shirts at 85% off like 2 bucks a shirt.....if something is not on sale in there it's usually not worth buying ...but when they start clearing the shelves for a new season they really have some great sales

i liked when the surly redneck mullet guy took a spill behind the counter...then quickly scurried out of the way. I bet he scurried off to play some DIO in his trans am .
Those faces he was making on the phone were a nice touch as well, there is nothing more tragic then a 'tard trying to be funny by doing cornball antics. A little part of me dies everytime i look at something like that...."IT'S HOKEY when he's so full of HI-JINKS" hi -yuck hi -yuck hi -yuck

unfortunatly you gotta have the "green" to get the "shine" - i'm to busy buying odyssey 2's at flea markets

i would suggest Paper mario : the thousand year door (if you have a gamecube) its funny/kinda mindless/ with some elements of RPG. It was alot of fun

Cliff notes for 1st video: "Hi we are nintendo, all customers are idiots/bullys - sorry you have to deal with them, here are some easy ways to make them go away."
Nintendo could not be more right about this

dang thing crapped out on me in the middle of project gotham 2.....dangit!

thanks for the feedback stitch

Oh by the way for the N64 issues check this out: http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/console/nintendo/n64cont.htm

Show off your console area pics...and let us know what you have hooked up! Who gives a crap if it's messy!!

Let me say i take care of my stuff....but my 16 year old senile cat climbed up on my top shelf and made a puke right on top of a wii controller - so it got all inside via the speaker holes and it sat all weekend like that (got nice and dried in there).....i have cleaned that thing like crazy, but it still is not working quite right.
If you leave batteries in it - they will be dead when you come back the next day......the controller does not show that a signal is being sent but i guess something is happening that is causing it to stay active, other then that it works great.
i love that dang cat....

wow...you guys got classic game room dvd for 4.99 + free shipping...i will be making a purchase this evening!
-
wow...thats almost them exactly...the "nintendo one is the same one but my N64 box is a bit bigger...it is the same width as the "nintendo" one. Thanks for posting that pic!

Everything works great...finished cleaning them today - I am looking for a reliable source for the 72 pin nes replacement units. I know alot of places sell them - anyone have a favorite supplier?...I need 5 at the moment.
-
i have a couple of port autosensing cheapo no namebrand switches ...i have had success just chaining a couple of those together (output to input).....right now i am up to 4 units i pick them up cheap at the flea market...seem to work fine
-
If at all...I am a notorious cheapskate, and i spent more today then i have in a long time - here's what i got from a day of traveling around:
1 NES - dirty, broken hinge - but you can get it to play (with some fighting) - 15 NES games (nothing really spectacular) with all the game labels removed (crap!) - 1 NES advantage - various cables etc = Total =$5 (i really just wanted the advantage out of all of this stuff)
1 NES in the box with styro and eveything - not perfect but very clean condition......1 magnavox odyssey 2 with 1 extra controller and 1 game....1 N64 game storage box with nintendo logos...that i can't find a picture of anywhere online, and also 1 NES game system storage box badged as nintendo that has two drawers (never seen either of these before....and in one of the drawers was two n64 controller packs...total for all = 45$.....Thats a lot for me
what do you guys think?

that is so sweet, i can't even really talk about it right now....
