  1. Wait wait wait, wtf? There's an adapter Nintendo makes that converts the multi-out port to RF. Are you saying Nintendo scrapped the multi-out port? That's fucking stupid.
  2. The only parts sites I know are out of stock in the parts you need, and the parts I need. What the fuck is the point of having an entry in your online inventory for something you will NEVER REORDER?
  3. You could also try ripping your games, changing the region code, and burning the modified image back onto a CDR...
  4. Pfft, not unless you scratch the hell out of them. There are some DC games that won't work right out of the shrinkwrap DAMN YOU SONIC ADVENTURE but they certainly don't degrade on their own.
  5. Try setting it to run in Win95 compatibility?
  6. Sega CD has absolutely no copy protection, though.
  7. My eyes genuinely welled up with tears when I saw... ...but I'm no doubt the most impoverished adult here. Le sigh. =_=
  8. I collect to see what I missed out on when it was all still new, and to save it from the landfills. Once it goes there, it's gone.
  9. Twenty years ago, you only heard about games from perhaps an ad in a comic or magazine, and only saw what the company wanted you to. After taking a chance on the game, word of mouth did much of the rest. I suppose the same is true now, to an extent. Most game magazines are corporate shills, the truly great ones have been bought out from above and killed off. RIP, Game Players, goodbye, Gamefan. Sure, you can research x-new-game online, but the average person doesn't care to. They only hear about the game and yammer about it on message boards or in chatrooms. They still buy the same tired old crap and avoid anything that might be new or different. Truth be told though, if you could only afford to buy one game every few months, would you buy something guaranteed to stay just outside of the realm of absolute shit, or take a chance? Just because it's new and different doesn't mean it'll rock your socks. Never mind, I have no point.
  10. 9_9 Who said anything about a permanent setup? Anubis. Pentium MMX 200, 64MB EDO, USB, Sound, Video, Ethernet, Windows ME. Found it, the keyboard, and the mouse on the curb last week. The monitor is one of my spares. I set it up on my bed, connected it to my network, updated it and cleaned the evil out of it, and now it rests in my closet until somebody needs a computer.
  11. You know, you can FIND PCs that have USB ports. They're easier to locate for free than game systems. I can't even drive, and I have no less than 6 USB-capable systems!
  12. Less than a hundred and fifty. None valuable, rare, or particularly fun. At least 70% of my "collection" is random dollar-each NES and Genesis games accumulated over the past four years, because everything I had before 2000 was lost, stolen, or destroyed.
  13. I've almost sorted the creep... I guess in a few months I'll have everything ready for serious photography. After my knee heals up. There's way too much heavy shit to cart around right now.
  14. Halo is the new Generic Shooter, supplanting the once mightily mediocre Quake 3. Points are crap nowadays... When is the last time you saw a game that kept track of the tens place?
  15. >_< Since when has there been a decent slot machine that didn't feature cherries as one of the better combinations?
  16. SMB2's slots were just random crap. A snifit, starman, cherry, radish.
  17. Decent multiplayer game that isn't Smash Brothers, fucking Gaylo, or Bomberman.
  18. I wouldn't touch Mario. There's already an insanely good Mario for Mugen.
  19. Digging up the Triforce was royally stupid. There really should have been some classic-Zelda-style minidungeons for each one.
  20. Oh, everyone knows original and different = BIG MONEY in the software business. Oh wait, they sure as fuck do NOT.
