  1. Comedian Denis Leary had a great point about people suing Judas Priest in the 80's:

"That's great. We've set a legal precedent, does that mean I can sue Dan Fogleberg for making me into a pussy in the mid 70's?"

"Let me see if I get this straight. Heavy metal fans are buying heavy metal records, taking the records home, listening to the records, and then blowing their heads off with shotguns? Where's the problem? That's an unemployment solution for you right there, it's natural selection, it's the bottom of the fucking food chain. I think there should be more messages on the records... "Kill the band, kill your parents, then kill yourself. Just make sure you get your whole head in front of the shotgun." Thank you for calling!"

  2. You could get an input splitter from Radio Shack or Best Buy. It'll give you an additional input or two (or five, depending on the model).

If you hook it up thru the dvd player, you might have a slight degradation in sound/picture quality. But it's something to think about.

  3. A lot of it depends on the Pawn Shop really.

For the most part (at least here in Ohio), chain ones will not take anything less than PS2. Most of the independent shops will follow that precedent as well (very rarely will you find anything older).

Granted, I've seen a few NES carts lying around here and there, but that's really about the oldest I've seen. It is buyer beware though, some of the places where the stuff comes from can be pretty skeevy.

It doesn't hurt to ask if the shop owner has a few lying around in the back, as you might get lucky. But you might be better off at thrift stores/Goodwill/and the like, or stores that specialize in the classics.
