  1. yes ! we need this, with an SGM clone used to play MSX Version Port on Spy Hunter on our colecovision! 😀 Joke aside, impressive work double down!👍👍👍
  2. The french post seems to be in a bad state after the covid19... (may be i should say during the covid19... nothing is finish)... Even when you send packed from France to France... it got lost... or takes weeks.
  3. you 're "that's right" in the answer , was not the answer to :
  4. My post was just a joke. But as you ask , in fact you said it in that thread , when H.E.R.O asked you. You have answered :
  5. A MSX expansion module would be great for me. Something that allow you to run directly MSX Cartridge on Colecovision. Like that some homebrew developpers will have more time to create original games for the colecovision instead of using that time to port MSX game to SGM. Or may be less interresting for you in the U.S. but may be for others, the opposite a Colecovision Expansion Module for MSX. This kind of module already exists for Spectravideo SV318 which very close to msx standard but not a msx. I don't think such a module exists for real MSX.
  6. i 'm always surprised that nowadays in computer science school the students do not start to learn Assembly before starting others languages.... as a result you have tons of "programmers" that don't even know what is byte and have no idea how computer works.... as result the computer industry is flooded with absurd frameworks and tools that are totally inefficient ... mainly in cloud industry , it just totally crazy. The young generation of "programmer" surprise me every day in not a good way.... when i was at school , we started to learn Assembly (it was 6502 , then 68000 at this time) , then we go to PASCAL , then C , then C++ .... and each time that explained how it relates to previous one... nowadays they just start with HTML , CSS, javascript... sometimes JAVA ... they just learn how to use some open source libraries without even understand how it works ...
  7. A-Team game on C64.... but forget that one ...lol...
  8. i will buy a printed copy for sure. (as i have bought your other book on MSX ).
  9. So wait, the Coleco is similar to the MSX inside under those circumstances? That explains why BlueMSX can also run Coleco games. Making cross compiled code between the two should be easy then no? It is why we have so much homebrew MSX port on Colecovision... Another equation is true : Colecovision - Coleco Bios = Sega SG 1000 It explains also what we have so much SG 1000 port... But in general : Colecovision, SG1000 , MSX , MTX , Spectravideo SV318, Yeno/Sega SC 3000 and surely few other computer/console i forgot are all very close in term of architecture.
  10. ColecoVision + SGM = ADAM - AY-3-8910 - KEYBOARD = MSX - MSX BIOS - KEYBOARD
  11. In other style : Battle of Hoth BTW: Malaika is impressive for the MSX 1 Lotus F3 , makes me think to the excellent Burning Rubber on Colecovision:
  12. I answered the sentence where you were talking about "systems" But anyway, i think it is not a problem with system conception , it is more a issue with the language barrier... very few people in Japan are able to read english , i have been very surprised by that. And i imagine that in the 80's it was even more the case.
  13. i think it is stipulated in the book "Commodore: On the edge" , that sales of the Vic 20 in Japan was very good. And i just read an article that said that just for the first day 1200 units was ordered in Japan.
  14. The Commodore Vic 20 (VIC 1001 in Japan) has been a big success in Japan. It has even been introduced in Japan before the US market , i think.
  15. What i would love to have on the coleco , is a way to use a Light Gun. Even better if there are a solutions that work with old CRT Screen and new flat screen. My next game will use that for sure. a mouse, would be interesting too, but i have the same feeling than Serguei2 that is more for computer.
  16. There is some delay concerning BnB due to me... i did not yet find the time to finish to burn the game on cartridges and send the PCB. I'll try to complete my part of the process this week end . i'm really sorry.
  17. enduro for CV would be fantastic if it is playable with the Driving Controller!
  18. Fireman is an early beta version of Fireworks Factory. Fireworks Factory is the complete game. In addition it has been published with the agreement and in collaboration of Original Creators from NICE IDEA. if you can get only one get Fireworks Factory.
  19. Armageddon : good Missile command clone (playable with roller controller) Bagman : very good , i personnally don't have issue with playability. But i use joystick modified by yurkie with ball knob. I guess with old standard joystick it could be more difficult. Bomb n Blast : a very good tetris like game Elevator Action : don't like to much that version Digger : love that game Hang On : not fan of this adaptation but considering the limitation of the console , it is not so bad Joust (pixelboy remix) : fun when 2 players Gulkave : Not my cup of tea , i have difficulty with this kind of game when the scrolling is not smooth. (unfortunately on colecovision you have not real choice). Light Grid Racing : did not try it yet Locomotion : did not try it yet Mindwalls : good arkanoid like game! Nibbli : i LOVE it . one of my favorite colecovision game. Ozma Wars ; don't like Rip Cord : a little Gem , i love it . Track And Field : good with the track and field controller. Star Force : same problem that gulkave for me , the scrolling. Otherwise good game Side Trak : very well done, but not fan.
  20. Sorry, if my question sounds stupid. But on the videos you posted is there speech? What does it say? If there is i guess it is because i'm not native speaker to understand. But great job, your version looks awesome!
  21. thanks a lot , it works now!
  22. hum... strange it does not work for me... look at the attached picture. (it is late here, may be i have missed something very obvious...) I was sure i had tried all characters i could think about...:)
  23. Thanks a lot Nanochess and Intvnut for your hints! I don't know why i didn't not try the inverted slash character before... as i had tried all i could think about... but seems not that one...
