Get the packaging of a colecovision version. and put your C64 cart inside
. The c64 package is exactly the same. See the picture file i attached above.

It is pity he left.
He was developing new games for the colecovision from Scratch. What he already presented was promising.

Exact same packaging/Box than the Atari XL and C64 version.
The screenshot behind the box are the one from Atari 8Bits , not the colecovision ones.
-
looks like the Box of Commodore 64 version with a different sticker. Can you put a picture of the back?

King of Chicago is doable on Colecovision , would be a very nice addition to colecovision library. Mainly if graphism are done by J-F , it will be very impressive i guess.

Hi itchy Scratch ,
now you have the rom , would it be possible you do a video with the full gameplay?
Would be very nice

As for the SGM (or F18A), I think it is interesting for doing things that were previously impossible to do on a stock CV console.
That was exactly my point too.
-
i don't bash SGM , i have nothing against the SGM itself. It is how it is mainly exploited until now that i regret.
-
That's exactly what i claim since years, the Colecovision do not need SGM or what ever extension to create wonderful game. just need talented graphists , talented programmers and talented composers!
Most of games out there requiring the SGM could have been done even better without it! You just need ROM space in the cartridge!

Modified (back in time) Atari CX 24 controller!! I use the very same one since 38 year now!! And use the very same when i play on my C64 too!.

Nice:)
I have noticed a little bug , just in case if you are interested in. When i have shoot the blue square (i have rounded in blue on the picture).
The shoot stay permanently ... when the shoot reach the square, it appears back to the bottom of the screen then continue to the square...then again go to the bottom...and so on..
And you can not shoot anymore with the tank.

Rampage (inspired from, i never try to do perfect arcade port) is on my "would like to do list if i find time one day..." too. But i would be more than happy if somebody do it before me!

i have discovered that game in the 80's on Atari 2600 , i was not aware at that time it was an arcade conversion. I love that game!
Looking forward for Tony's version!

In your list there are at least
Zombie Near and Pacman collection that does not require SGM
And i think also the 2 Sydney Hunter also.
For Mecha 8 and 9 as far i know the only difference with the SGM is just the music which sound a little better.
But there is a long list of Today's games that do not require SGM.
the SGM add nothing to the colecovision except more RAM and new sound ship.

Prisoner of War
R-Type
Sydney Hunter and the Caverns of Death
Sydney Hunter and the sacred tribe people
Tank Mission
Zombie Near
Operation Wolf
Dragon's Lair
Galaga
PacMan
In this list there are game that do no require SGM nor a Phoenix
In addition you have lot of Today's game that do not require the SGM nor a Phoenix.
You should show you girl friend Cabbage Patch Kid , it is very cute game.

would love to see a Starwar clone by You!
I'm really fan of your games!
-
Looking forward for your sound tool!
Btw, i just noticed another little issue with the Import of DAT File.
When in the DAT file the color used in a Pattern is 0 (transparent) , in your tool you set it to White on Screen. Could you set it to Black instead?

Can someone help with this Oil’s Well variant
in ColecoVision / Adam
Posted
i'm not so sure. C64 cart are quiet similar in term of size. I can imagine that to reduce cost they used also similar case for the cartridge.

And if you look the cartridge holder on the picture posted by RetroGamerHero , you can see that it fits also for Tape Version of the game.
