For me the most fun for collecting is machine where you have a chance to finally have a fullset (being software or hardware) but where it is not too easy to find. so for instance machines like Hector HR or Oric .

it woks on SECAM Machine , i don't see any reason why it won't work on PAL also.

I think in all my homebrews, i use the "the screen mode 2 'Text' ". Some detail on this thread from 11 years ago when i was developping Ghost'n Zombie looking forward for your emulator , mainly if it emulate well Driving controller and Roller Controller! (i guess it will be emulated with a Mouse?)

I don't say, i never play on HDMI , nowadays we have unfortunatly almost no choice... And it is better than nothing!. And I thanks all initiatives like the Phoenix and other that allows us to play our retro game with modern device!. I don't say it is bad!. It is fantastic because our old machine and Screen won't be here forever as you said. I just say if i can have the choice and i think i'm not the only one , i prefer play on CRT and Original Machine.

Personally when i play a game on a non CRT screen , i don't have the feeling to play the same game at all. Concerning Mame , i have a PC with an ArcadeVGA card (that allows to output 15khz signal and to have original arcade resolutions for most of the game) and i put that in a old Arcade Cabinet. That way i retrieve the almost original sensation , Playing mame old classic on a VGA Screen 31Khz or an HDMI , that's not the same experience at all.. no nostalgic appeal for me , as i don't recognize the games... even if you add all the graphical effects , scanline etc... you can have today. It is better, but still not good enough. Recently i have bought TheC64 , i am absolute fan of the C64... Despite my enthousiasm for that new machine , playing on HDMI , for me it is no more a C64

I think it is mainly due to the fact it become harder and harder to find a CRT Screen that works, on Colecovision that works , etc.... so we need to find some way to adapt our machine to modern device. It does not mean we like that, we are kinda force to that. Most of us, i think would prefer to play with original devices if they could. Not everybody is able or have time to repair hardware. They just want play.

there is lot of games with the name "PENGY" . The one i have found is NOT related to that ones.

Ok, it is time to reveal what the game is. I have clarified what need to be clarified with the original authors and .... future publisher.. The game name is : PENGY As you have surely guessed , This a game inspired of PENGO . But it is quite different . the game is not complete, no sound no polishing , few VRAM corruption appear ... but it is playable and have about 20 levels already. I don't say more for now but , the important thing: We managed to retrieve the original source code !!!! and yesterday night i have finally managed to rebuilt it from source code ! So , in collaboration with original authors , i'm going (at least try) to complete it! . Coté Gamer agree to publish it when it will be completed. In addition we (with original authors) give the exclusivity of the history of that game (that is quite interesting!) To coté gamer, the entire history with all details , make in of , Screenshots, documents ..etc..etc.. will be in the booklet provided with the Game Release. for now , i can not announce release date or what ever.... i'll keep you inform on progress.

i assure you , it is lot of more interesting than Energy Quiz. I have lot of fun to play it even in the current state of the game.

speaking about Driving simulation , i recommend Ferrari F355 challenge. there is another game that even if at start i didn't like it , after passing more time on it , i finally love it , it is Spirit of Speed 1937. Few other game for Dreamcast i love : Soul Calibur Dead or Alive Stunt Gp Shenmue 1 & 2(but can get boring sometimes) Skie of arcadia! (my favorite RPG) House of Dead 2 (with the light Gun! ) Confidential Mission (with the light Gun! ) Virtua Cop 2 (with the light Gun! ) Jet Set Radio Snk vs Capcom PowerStone (when you play with 3 friends!..so much fun) San Francisco Rush 2049 Super Round about : san francisco edition #edit : and of course, how i could have forget that ones : Crazy Taxi (i bought the dreamcast for that game!)
