Oh, well, I figured the TCM business was pretty well-known to most people, the Creepshow thing just came up while I was writing it. There was a bit more to explain with it because of the back and forth since I directly talked to the guy, but fair enough. I'd say more like 58% of the article was about it.

There's actually a link the editor inserted that takes the viewer to this forum and talk about his scores, if you clicked on it. How is Barnstorming not proof? His score was literally impossible with the game stripped of obstacles.

Thanks guys, Todd already messaged the site and the other guy is apparently RAGING hahaha. He's claiming it's slander and something about legality, which is sad because he violates Facebook policy since 90% of his Creepshow posts are images taken from other sources without permission. Plus, since it's set to public, it's officially legal to use his stuff via Facebook's privacy policies, section 2, number 4. Duh.

First part, perhaps, second part, no. Some of the people that asked me about his fake cart initially know the guy, he's basically clueless and completely out of touch.

Those are reasons why I loathe emulation in high-score competitions. And hardware dying? Come on man, this stuff is going to last a LOT longer than you think.

That's it! I knew someone discussed it in the HSC, but I couldn't find it. I don't know if it's been "proven" per se, now that I remember this, but a number of people were discussing the issue, apparently some of his scores from Twin Galaxies were negated and/or removed, and he resigned.

God this is escaping me at the moment. There was some guy who was known for his high scores back in the day, and was later found via emulator and checking code or something to have lied about his high scores, I believe for certain Activision games. Who was he? I cannot remember. I think he may have even been in the Guinness Book of World Records at one time.

Not sure if you guys are familiar with this internet show, but it's called Pittsburg Dad. Some of the humor is literally impossible to get unless you grew up around the area, but I thought this one in particular was enjoyable, at least in terms of how he jokes about the Atari 2600 and ET. He at least doesn't get caught up in discussing how it's the "worst game ever made" (quotes necessary).
