  1. It should read "if you want a Wii but don't want motion control, here it is for 100 bucks cheaper" Happy 9 years, little guy..and going strong.

  3. Ok ... I have to ask, what is a "meow battery door cover"? O_o
  4. As a side note, playing Street Fighter Alpha 3.. while it looks better on the Saturn, I feel plays the best on the Dreamcast because of the smooth and solid dpad. My psone version is always played last (yes.. I own Alpha (Zero) 3 on all three consoles lol...good game).
  5. Go ahead and make a thread in our Marketplace area, and you can see what you can get for it there. Depending on what games you have ext, you're looking at 400 for the system with maybe the modem.. and a LOT more if you have other accessories. Like I said before, 64DD systems that area complete with every game can go for about 2k. Welcome to the boards
  6. Anybody? I find it hard to believe no one in AA has ever done a mod chip installation before and couldn't figure this out...
  7. Screw Ferrari 355, look at Test Drive Le Mans. If there was any proof the DC could deliver to the point the PS2 could, it was that game hands down. Honestly, you guys have to remember, it was less about how popular the DC was, and more about how mismanaged Sega was. Sega America and Sega Japan were practically at each other's throats. If they had calmed down and worked out a common game plan, they would have done fine. We didn't destroy Sega, Sega destroyed Sega. I love my PS2, if not just for the few games on there I will always cherish. But honestly, I like my DC better, and I have more games by far on there that i think are timeless than the ps2 hands down. I still remember how much I wished I could have it. I still remember drooling over Sonic Adventure scans in the FAO Shwartz Christmass magazine , thining to myself "my god, I wish Mario 64 looked like this" and "how can it get better than this? amazing!" Sigh, I miss those days.
  8. Yea really, that's way too high for the purple cube. Keep looking, deals can be found if you wait it out. I have been looking for a 64DD for well over a year, and If you get the Nintendo DD, two of the games sealed, including all the accessories and games and boxes except Japan Pro Gold and Doshin 2, you'd be looking at anywhere from 1600-2000. Patience paid off, I just got that all for 400 bucks . The same with my Panasonic Q. Picked it up for 200. If you can get a Panasonic Q for 200 if you're patient, whats the point in getting a basic cube for almost half that?
  9. Anyone have any clue what these things generally go for? seriously I've never seen this in my life O_o
  10. I just got a PipPin, Panasonic Q, and Nintendo 64 DD with every game except Japan Pro Golf and Doshin 2 (complete, everything in boxes which includes the mic and mouse for the Mario Artist games.. some CIB). I think I'm good for now
  11. First game I bought with my own money was Super Mario Bros 3. I still remember waiting for it to come out, with the yellow box in my hands, giddy, the whole drive home. Unfortunately, I sold the game... I have no idea where my boxes went though, I know I didnt sell those with the carts. Still trying to find them all.
  12. Yeah that's what I quickly figured out. Maybe if I can snag one cheaply off ebay or craigslist somehow it might be worth it. I also figure they'll close them out sometime in the near future simply because the Mini has taken over the cube and even with a 1.7 Ghz processor cubes are starting to show their age. Tempest And due to something.. i think it was bus speed, the computer can't really handle a chip much more than that. Even so, it was VERY impressive that something the size of a tissue box has been upgradable all the way to Leopard if upgraded correctly. I don't think you get that type of expandability unless you buy a tower.
  13. Amen bud. A sign of a good couple isn't what interests they necessarily have in common, it's the interests that they support in each other because they know it's important to their significant other.
  14. By about a quarter. However, you can't compare new intel chips in macs the same way.. they are totally different. But yea, PC intel 450 mhz vs powerpc 450 mhz, the intel is weaker. ANYwho, the chips are totally legit. I had one of the single processor 1.7ghz chips. Most cube owners who upgrade get these. Sure it's almost as much as half a mini (and once you buy everything else, it IS the price of a mini), but these people the upgrade more to prove it can do it more than anything else. It's fun for them to say "i have this old computer and it's about as good as your new one.. haha". If you want to try, be my guest.. but it's a pain in the neck to figure out if you're not good with electronics and once you add up yoru costs, it's not worth it. As a side note, your pricing structure is off. Expect to pay at least 400 for a 1.7 single processor chip.
  15. I recently got a Panasonic Q GC that looks new, but I want it to be able to play US DVDs and GC games. I found a chip online called the Qoob that allows both to be played, but I have no idea how to solder chips.. and was wondering if someone could help me out with this who knows what they're doing. Online services that used to do this, don't anymore.. and I'm kinda plum out of luck. Thanks in advance!
  16. My fiancee is a Harry Potter/LOTR fan (yes they're out there guys, you've just got to find them ). Maybe if I let her put her HP and LOTR stuff in the game room she'll let me keep it. Although I'm not sure if I want a life size cut out of Legolas staring at me when I play Adventure... Tempest Ah, but again, that's when you compromise! Simply find an Atari ball cap and put it on the cut out's head
  17. I got one via an AA member, thank you! One more itch, itched .
  18. So wait... that rare copy of the Super Gameboy for my SNES wasn't really rare ???
  19. It's like those vcr/dvd combo tvs.....but it doesn't suck! wow, I want!!!
  20. Yea Model 1 systems and pads are the best in my opinion. I love mine .
  21. The thing to do is make your "room of doom" with two functions.. one of which (at least) that makes her happy. I'm looking for a home right now, and luckily my fiancee's passion is Star Wars. She doesn't like games (but tries them with me anyway), but the "room of doom" is something she's looking for just because of the star wars toys that will be littered with the video game consoles and software .
  22. Always so nice seeing a Saturn finding a loving, caring home
  23. No, the US version costs that much. It's called collector's value.. it doesn't mean people want to play it so much that the game is hard to come by. 50 is pretty much the going rate on that game, period. If you got it for 5 bucks with case, cd, and manual, consider yourself lucky.
  24. Some of the best systems ever made don't have a ton of games on it . I think that both systems are great and the pippin will be great. There's some really exciting titles that I want to play (most of them japenese and made from bandia).
