I have a feeling that while the adapter might be made for a while, those controllers will become highly sought after. Just preirdered it. They don't charge till release day so if the situation changes I can always cancel just prior.
-
And I'm in the classic gaming area. God I hate phones...
Can someone move this please?

Only for Europe so far, but something tells me we'll see it here too.
For 209, that's not bad, and its available for preorder right now. Comes with the game preloaded. Can't say I'd part with my pikachu 3DS for it, but its certainly one of the better looking limited editions we've seen of late.

I feel the Xbox one has enough unique games to justify the purchase. I'm not sure I could wait till fall of next year to play what it has to offer. That and a next gen platform is a good idea if you're excited for Destiny. With an expected ten year lifespan, do you honestly think you'll be playing on a ps3 or 360 then?
But yeah, in the interem, the Wii u offers quite a bit this year. I don't feel its quite where the n64 or even the GameCube was at in terms of content, but I'm very happy to own the system none the less.
Regardless if their idiotic moves, having a Nintendo system from the current gen is basically a necessity.

The Xbox One is losing in terms of overall sales to the Wii U. To be fair on the Xbox One, it's not been out NEARLY as long as the Wii U, and its sales have been picking up quite a bit as of late. I don't expect the Wii U to be in 2nd place for long.
Don't get me wrong, I love my Wii U, and I"m VERY excited about this years offerings, but if you guys think a system can do anything but last place without third party support, then I don't know what else to say.
Personally? I'm happy this happened to Nintendo, just so they learn their lesson. I love them, they're my favorite of the three. But this whole "wii" route, catering to the casuals crap, with underpowered hardware that ensures ports of PS4 and XB1 games rarely come over to Nintendo, while their great non-mario IPs sit and rot in never-never land, is unforgivable. It's nice to see them waking up a bit with the announcement of Starfox, but I just don't think they're going to be able to turn around the Wii U in the eyes of developers. Public? Maybe. But we'll never get third party support for the Wii U. That ship has sailed...

inb4 "Mint Condition: I dunno what it means except it sure makes me a mint!"
Yeah, really. Seller offered me 50% discount on the item, but claimed he never felt any sticker residue.
Apparently the seller is Gex the gecko, and has naturally sticky paws.

Because sometimes it makes sense.
Blue Gamegear, for instance, it looks much better to have a blue LED. While not "blue", a purple LED on a PC Engine Duo R (or RW) makes sense as all the lettering on the console is purple... not red.
No, on an NES, it's not a good fit. I agree. But not all systems "go" with red lights. Just a fact.

I'm a pretty lax guy when it comes to eBay auctions, and I know there's a percentage of time you will get screwed when buying on eBay. But this one really got under my skin.
I just purchased a "mint condition! no wear! like new" condition Rocket Robot on Wheels for the N64. The crappy pictures sure made it seem like it was mint, so I bought it.
I just got it in today, and there's nothing but old, gunky, half sticky sticker residue on the front and back labels. Not on the cart... no, no, they missed EVERY bit of plastic. But the labels (that you can't wash/clean without stripping the label of it's print) are completely covered in nasty sticker residue.
Needless to say I'm ticked. If he had let me know, that's one thing. But really? Do eBayers even know what MINT CONDITION even means?
I'm not going to complain about a scratch or some minor damage, but this thing literally feels nasty in your hand. Frankly, I wouldn't even both with eBay if it wasn't for the selection. If an AA member had the game for sale, I'd have bought it here instead. Ticks me off...

If you like this game, try out Tomodachi Life. It has its flaws, for sure, such as not really being able to control the actions of anyone. But it's actually quite a bit of fun, reminds me of Animal Crossing in many ways, and is a very addicting time waster like Animal Crossing.
-
i've played animal crossing on gamecube before, isn't it similar to that, aren't you still mayor and trying to expand your town? im sure theres tons on new features but i think i will be some what aaccurate when filling out the survey. (^_^' ) alot people seem to not want to fill out surveys, its not that hards takes maybe 3 minutes or less, the only real problem i run into is going over the word count limit sometimes lol (^_^; )
i mean if its a fun game you enjoyed don't talk about it anyways and tell your friends what you like and dont like, well the survey is you chance to tell nintendo your thoughts about it. so i try to give it my all on surveys (+_+)
Basically, yes, same premise. Game mechanics are different, though. They've been upgraded, which makes the game easier to play and collect items faster (including paying off homes). Also, there are more areas to explore. In the 3DS game, you have an island where you can do mini games, fish, and get tropical fruit, along with "beach" items like wetsuits and the like.

thank you very much m(_ _)m (\(^_^)/) m(_ _)m (\(^_^)/) m(_ _)m (\(^_^)/)
your code helped me reach gold status (^_^)b
You're welcome
. I'm glad it made someone so happy
.It wasn't a code for the game, just the Club Nintendo registration (i.e., Club Nintendo coins and a survey to fill out).
Bingo.
Daytona... I ran into a similar situation when I purchased a 2nd Wii U: Nintendo wouldn't let me register it since I already had a Wii U registered to my account. So I made my account a family account instead of individual, set up my wife as an additional user under the family account, and registered the Wii U under her name. Result: the 160 coins were added to my account.
I did the same thing with Lego City: I had registered it, then lost the game somehow so I bought it again very cheaply at a flea market. Nintendo wouldn't let me register the 2nd copy since I had already registered one copy. So I logged in under the account I made for my wife, registered it, and voila: the coins were again added to my account.
You can make multiple users with the "family" account and register games under any of the names.
That's very interesting. Can you change the account to family though after it's been a single user account for a few years? Mine has been active.. oh let's see... since I believe the beginning of the DS days.
Either way, it's not like I "need" it. I have more points than I know what to do with anyway. Call me silly, but I just refuse to waste coins on games that while I like, are on the Wii side for the Wii U, and not the Wii U's VC. I just... don't ever want to go into that mode, frankly. It's horribly inconvenient, and I honestly like the U's controllers better

I wish the same thing but another cultural 'problem' is that mobile\portable gaming is the craze in Japan right now. Nobody has time there to sit in front of a console.
Several Japanese devs have said that consoles are not popular anymore and a lot of developers (Japanese) are doing mobile games rather than console games. Which is why we see Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing on the 3DS first. We may never see console versions of those games. When's the last time a Dragon Quest game came out on a console? The PS2? 10 years ago? Times were different then indeed.
I get that, but they get more sales in North America and Europe combined, where consoles are king, than they do portables in Japan. So while I get that they want to cater to their people, if they work as a company, ...that wants money..., wouldn't it make sense to cater to the area that generates the most sales, which by car is the console oriented market.
Either way, it shouldn't be "either or". Nintendo should hire more people then, so that both portable and console can enjoy a steady stream of titles.
Here's to hoping their next gen game is a combination of console and portable, so neither suffer.

First come, first served. Below is a code for Animal Crossing on the 3DS. If you want the points, it's yours. I can't register it as I've registered the same game (different copy) in the past.

To be fair, StarFox is another future release that's on my radar after Smash Brother's release.
But plainly put, that's about it for now, other than small releases. The 3DS seems to be getting the games I think should be on the dang Wii U instead.
I love my Wii U. Mario Kart 8 is a bloody hoot. But I just hate having to wait 6 months for a new game. I prefer Nintendo games to "mainstream games" (although, I still play them. Destiny for instance is very nice), but I just hate waiting for Nintendo to not only make games but ones I care about.
For instance, Nintendo wants sales, right? I have the perfect solution. Like Mario Kart, Nintendo has a few other franchise which CHURN money like no other. Animal Crossing and Pokemon.
Seriously, make a damn Animal Crossing game for the Wii U already (not 2016 or later, that's too late), and for the love of all that's good, make a full fledged Pokemon game for consoles. No "Stadium", no "Snap", no buy-these-cute-figurines-for-this-mind-numbingly-boring-cash-in-title like Rumble. Just, a real Pokemon game, with Mario Kart level graphics, online play.. and that's about it!
Heck, they could even make freakin' cards that are scannable on on the NPC reader. People collect Pokemon cards, and now they give you Pokemon in the game! It's like DLC for Nintendo.
Seriously, this goes against what "I" want. I would want an F-Zero game. Or a Kirby game. But those aren't dynamite sellers. Those won't bring in people by the boatload. Those two titles would, and it shocks me that we haven't heard of their existence yet.

Looking for a used, complete set. eBay has crazy prices, and while Best Buy offers decent used prices, it's site unseen as it's shipped to the store (has no mention of case and manual).
So I figured I'd try my luck here.
Thanks in advance. PM me if you have an offer. -
Has anyone else noticed this game being in demand in brick and mortar stores?
My local gamestop and best buy were sold out. I had to (sadly...) venture into Wal-Mart, where the electronics area employee who got the game from the case told me he's been selling a lot of the game recently. He didn't seem to know what it was, nor have much gaming knowledge, but he singled that game and that game alone that has been really hard to keep stock of.
I know this did well in Japan. Has it been doing as well as it appears in the US?

I play my 3DS. I guess you could say I collect for it, but I don't see it that way yet.
I do have a Pikachu 3DS XL now, though. It's the system I use as my main 3DS. I just keep it protected by leaving it in the stock pouch it came packaged in. I don't really take my handhelds anywhere. I just play at home. So it's enough to keep the dust off it.
I don't really display my portables. For that matter, I don't really display my systems. I used to, but I found it was too annoying to re-hook up everything / keep them dust free. Now i have shelving and closed cabinets for everything to sit in. The systems that won't get damaged easily like the Xbox One, sits on the shelf. Systems like my PC Engine Duo R sit in the cabinet hooked up, ready to play, but out of direct sun light / dust fall.
I don't use screen protectors on my portables. I did at first, but I found all it did was tick me off. All I'd see were bubbles, and the stylus on the protector didn't feel the same. I can't say I've ever scratched any touch screen or portable screen since the original GameBoy, so I'd assume those are for people who really lay into their gaming equipment. That's .. not me.
I've restarted my 3DS collection recently when I sold my last XL. But I got this boxed Pikachu edition cheap at the same time I started wanting some new releases. Currently, I don't have much, but I have Animal Crossing, Tomodachi Life, and Kirby Triple Deluxe, all of which I got on sale today. I also picked up a DS copy of Kirby Super Star Ultra for cheap.

It's more cost-effective than photo-id cards, and less prone to counterfeiting. You could lend your season pass to look-a-like buddies and slip it out of the park and get others in. You get bag inspections and a metal detector walk through too. And you go through 2 levels of gates.
Bag inspections so you don't bring in food and drinks. Hold you prisoner to $15.00 hamburgers and $12.00 for 3-piece chicken dinner or $11 plate of nachos.
Whatever..
Yeah, but the small amount of money they lose a year on look-a-like-season-pass-borrowers has to be less than the price of sacrificing your customer's privacy.
Like I said before, I refuse to do this.. doesn't matter who the company is. Even if it was Nintendo, Microsoft or Sony. Then I just wouldn't play modern games until it turned around. I will never forfeit something not even the freakin police need unless I'm a criminal to a bloody company.

Ok everyone, I have REALLY good news.
The guy I bought this from in Japan agreed to let me exchange this unit for a new one. Not only did he give me my money back on the shipping to have it returned, but I already have the replacement unit here in my hands!
And I'm shocked!
Not only is this thing in near mint condition (better than my last one by far) with no yellowing or dirt (seriously, not a spec, not even in the disc drive bay), but it also came with the original box, styrofoam, baggies, etc!!!! The last one didn't even come with any of that! Heck, the controller was still sealed in the box, with the system wrapped in its original foam sleeve! No pieces are missing from the styrofoam either!

Needless to say I'm on cloud nine, and it makes an incredible deal even more unbelievable, as I got the system for a good price for a loose system, none the less one in a box.
I need to test it further, but I think this will be my new Duo R. Couldn't be happier

I'd rather give the games away than give away my finger print.
I don't even want the police to have it. Why the hell would I give it to GameStop. I know the iPhone started this bs craze, but I won't buy any product from a company who wants that in exchange.

And the cdx is gone. I'll update the page after work to reflect that. Editing posts on a phone is a nightmare....
Officially looking for 3ds games now so that's up on the block for trades. Might have a couple 3do games posted soon.

Yeah, it's going to go quick, I'll tell ya.
I see the mods are asleep though... any chance of a transfer of this to Modern?
