There is nothing wrong the the VCS adapter IMO. It works great for me because I dont want to have to pull the VCS console out of the closet.

I have bought lots of stuff from Mcgrail. Every transaction has been wonderful.

I cant see (myself anyway) spending all that money for a non-centering stick. I use the standard kits and they work find for me (when I actually use it). Thank god for other controller alternatives.

Panasonic is a good company. I have a VCR that is ~20 years old, and still works! (I had to replace the belts once...that's it.) My Panasonic TV was dropped down a flight of stairs... still works. Maybe Sony should get Panasonic to make their next-generation PS3? I have had Very good service with Panasonic. We had a old 1982 VCR when we were growing up and it lasted 15 years of constant playing. We played so much, It wore the Head off. I got another Panasonic VCR thats 7 years old now without a hitch. I have an 5 year old portable CD player that works good.

Are we in the 80's again and does it suck?
Vectrex-Atari replied to ussexplorer's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I like the late 70's stereo components. They had the machined aluminum faces with the chrome dials. They still have a nice beautiful shine and industrial look. They make the room look brighter. -
Damn, Its a good thing I got mine while I could. I love my Menu driven one.

I recently got a CIB Commodore 64c. My grandpa had it long time ago and it does not work. It powers up and I get a screen, But it displays random letters and signs (garbage like). I found this site, but I cant figure out what to look for. I tired resocketing the chips with no luck. http://www.c64.priv.no/c64/files/repair_Se...64-Computer.txt Im not trying to be an electronics guy, but if its a simple chip or problem, I would like to try and fix it. Gives me something to play with.

This kids, is why I advise against Media Mail !
Vectrex-Atari replied to CPUWIZ's topic in Auction Central
Yes. Me and Mr Retro have called both of our post offices and we come up empty handed. Apparely (by the delivery con #), It wasnt even scan for acceptance at Mr Retros Post office. He has tried many times to get them to look for it, but they keep blaming it on MY post office. The funny thing is, he someone else a package at the same time by priority and the got theres in 2 days. Their Priorty Mail sucks now. -

well, at least CPUWIZ got something in the mail. I recently ordered some rebuild kits from Mr retro and he sent it priority with insurance on it. Its been 15 days and its nowhere to be found. USPS is starting to get on my nerves as well. -
oesii told me that if I wanted to reduce the "hum" noise, put some clear shipping tape over the speaker grille in front. And it works too.

The controllers are funky for Pacman, but if you play it enough, you will get use to it. I took me awhile. Have you tried both controllers yet?

http://herbs64.users.btopenworld.com/vectr...es/pro_pv2b.zip Just make sure you have winzip or something to unzip the file, Good 4 minute display of the vectrex in action No, you'd better hope it's not a proprietary Codec in the video file that doesn't work on Macs. J/K Actually, it works great. That's some pretty cool stuff right there. You don't see stuff like that anymore. Was that an arcade game? Probably not the Vectrex itself. Makes me want a Vectrex even more though. Aside from the title screen it looked like 100% real Vectrex to me. ... Honestly, given a choice, who would make a side-scroll shooter with a vertical screen? If it was an arcade Defender clone, the screen'd be horizontal. Its 100% vectrex, If you turn the volume up while its on the title screen, you can here the vectrex noise. The game is Protector, which is sold out
